i am using a samsung galaxy fit gt-s5670 rooted with 2.3.4 gingerbread
i had installed rom manager and and from it i had installed the wrong clockwork mod recovery version and after the installation i tried taking a backup of my phone and suddenly my phone went blank.... i cannot see anything in the phone and the screen only stays black without vibration or anything.... please help me out with this.

If the screen is blank then just go to samsung and tell then that u were downloading an update from kies and half way suddenly the screen went blank and since then its not switching on..... That should do it.....
Crap!!! I hope someone can help me. I was trying to upgrade my son's tablet using odin and a stock 4.04 rom from here :Samsung P5100 / P5110 / P5113 Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Complete Stock Firmware. The first one for the P5113.
Anyway, everything seemed to be going okay following the directions and then a failed came up in the first box in odin was red. I repeated it and it appeared to be stuck. The tablet was in download mode and the blue line had only progressed about a quarter inch. I heard the usb disconnect and reconnect sound and I tried to initiate it through odin again but the tablet wasn't responding. I stupidly on plugged the tablet and tried to power it down. Now I can't do anything. Can't get into recovery or download mode. The tablet is stuck on the screen and has this message with a picture of a tablet then a yellow triangle and a computer. Here is the message: Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again. Kies won't recognize the tablet and when I click on emergency firmare recovery it just asks for PC code. I am stumped. I am not familiar with Samsung at all. Also, the message on the screen won't disappear. If I hold down power it won't turn off, the screen will go black and then the message will come right back so I'm afraid the battery will be dead soon and then I will be totally out of luck.
The tablet is a wifi only P5113 Tab 2 10.1.

Not that I know of to be honest, You need to get into download/recovery .... Hopefully someone else more knowledgeable will come up with something !
How old is the tab ?

No nothing, windows does recognize it and will install the driver. But Odin doesn't show anything happening and Kies just shows connecting. When you select emergency recovery in Kies it will stop trying to connect and bring up a dialog box asking for a recovery code. Apparently if the failure would have happened during a legit upgrade using Kies it would have generated an error code for recovery. Is there no way to repair this? Thought Samsung devices were suppose to be so easy to customize? Please help my son is pretty pissed.

One thing. Always update your table with OTA or Kies. ODIN breaks the warrantie

I bricked my device from Odin while trying to revert from a CM10.1 nightly to stock JB. Device picked up in Odin, but would not flash... unless I reboot the device after I clicked start in Odin. Dunno why, but it loaded stock firmware on the error screen... don' ask me how...
I have experienced this. Run ODIN, then connect your devices to the computer. When ODIN detect it, unplug and then replug your device. When ODIN back detect it then flash.
Recent versions of Odin work the other way around. First plug then open. Older like <1.87, first you open the program then you plug device. Glad it got solved.

I have also hit this screen several times while playing with roms, this is a fairly common example of "softbrick". Fortunately for me, Odin had no problems connecting, and then simply flashed an oem rom. I have not been able to hard brick this thing, which is a huge surprise considering all the flashing I've done. Frankly I'm surprised it hasn't blown up like an iraqi IED yet lol!
This is a good thing! It means that Samsung built in a good failsafe. It just means you hosed your rom install all the way down to the bootloader. Easy to recover from

Hi, my problem is identical. I have a samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 and after a failed update with Odin the message was:Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again. I try again with Odin and nothing. I used Kies, and nothing. Then i saw a reference to the md5 philz_touch_5.03.7-p5110.tar.md5 and i use it with Odin. Sucess but the message was RESET. Everithing disappeared from screen except the battery logo. The tablet is always on and with that image. The volume buttons and power don't work and it is not detected.
I'm affraid the thing is bad.

I tried to install cygen mod 4.1 to my handset through boot mode I first wiped the factory data & then he did a installation through memory card method but my phone did not go though it hanged it said installation abroted again I tried same software with odin through download mode but i dont know what wrong happend my phone gone bricked with black screen now i cant go boot mode or down load mode as only screen lights come no welcome screen comes , i searched some forums whare dey said to try holding power +home+volume down buttons to go to download mode but my phone was going to that mode by pressing power +home+volume Up buttons . i tried to isntall firmware through the link which had a tutorial [TUTORIAL] Unbrick Mini S5570 (Bricked With Black Screen) - Android Forums Instaling with samsung drivers when oddin is on at that time odin detects my phone but when i select the files & press start nothing happens can any one let me know what best i can do or any other tools are there to fix this problwm or any drivers should i have to install which make odin to run please help me

hi dinesh i am also facing the same problem for past one month,I was tried almost all method only black screen no light not charging if i press volume up+home+power buttons some drivers will be detected in my laptop,then i tried to install 2.3 with my odin no use.
my suggestion
1.try usb jig
2.go to service center if warranty is available
3.change the mother board
4.find the error in board using open ocd

Hi My phone is Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830
about two days ago I was trying to install this Rom Ios 5 or Something like that
all was going well until I switched on my phone and I got a plain white ANDROID text
I thought it will go away so I waited... nothing happened
I have tried every Odin thats compatible with ace out there but it it always gets stuck at setup connection
I also tried removing sim
removing battery for 10 mins
removing sd card
different usb cable
I am also very doubtful about whether the ace is connecting to the Pc or not.. while in download mode odin shows 1(com 3) or something like that
but I can never mangae to open the pc suit ... there s not even an Icon showing the drive in my computer
It just shows in Odin that it is connected but Im not sure.... if it was really connected it would let me acsess the files right???
Maybe this is the problem ?
Please I need all the help I can get any help will be highly appreciated

Hello friends, I have a samsung tab 3 gt-P5210.
the first problem was when I boot my samsung , I have only the logo samsung...
I have trying to change the firmware with the software odin 3 and this file FTM-P5210XXUBPF1-20160826104651.zip
Finally, now I have black screen everytime , and when I connect the tablet with my computer, the computer don't know driver (cloverview).
I don't know what can I do.
