If you have a device running Android MM+ and your phone has RAM < 1.5GB you can still be able to use Google Assistant without downgrading your google app.
[Method 1: Manually]
You only need a root explore and a file editor. I recommend Solid Explorer or ES file explorer
Go to /system/build.prop
Open the build.prop with note editor.
NOTE: First backup build.prop file just copy the file.
Add the below line to the bottom of the file.
Code:
ro.opa.eligible_device=true
Clear Google App data go to Settings>Apps>Google>Storage>MANAGE SPACE>CLEAR ALL DATA
Reboot
[Method 2:Using App]
Download Get Assistant Grant ROOT access within the app click Get assistant select new method then continue clear Google app data Reboot.
If this helps you just hit the Thanks button.
Having any trouble let me know in the comments.

So, I was looking around my ROM and I discovered this neat little trick.
You know when you power on the device after a factory reset, and that setup comes up? When it says it is communicating with the server, it is actually getting the features of your device and sending it to Google Play.
How does it get the features of the device you may be asking. Well, it parses the XML files located in the /system/etc/permissions directory!
So, how can we use this to our advantage? Well, we can add features to our device/ROM!
How to do this? Simple!
Step 1: Copy a file in that directory and paste it in the same directory. I recommend you use the Root Explorer app.
Step 2: Rename the new file with the feature you want - if you want the android.hardware.telephony feature, rename the file to android.hardware.telephony.xml
Step 3: Open the file in a text editor. Remove the <text> part of the name="<text>" tags, and replace the <text> with the feature name (the same as the file name, without the .xml extension)
Step 4: Save the file!
Step 4.5: Delete the backup file if using Root Explorer
Step 5: Open your System Settings menu and clear the app data and cache for the following apps:
Google Play Store
Google Services Framework
Package Installer
Setup Wizard
com.android.provision
Step 6: Reboot the device:
Step 7: Open the Google Talk app, and sign in to your account(s), sign out, then sign in again. Open Google Play, and see if you can install an app that needs the feature you just added!
List Of Features
No matter how hard you try, this wont add telephony to your wifi only tablet It only spoofs the features for Google Play - it doesn't actually add them, and some apps will force close if they really did need the feature you 'added'!
You need to be rooted and I recommend use root explorer
The Automatic Way - Just Download titanium Backup or similar app Select the app and just hit covert to System app and reboot and if it force closes even on reboot go down the thread!!
Manual Way
1) Select the Apk Which you Want
2) Take the apk from SD card and copy the apk to /Root/System or any where in the Root
3 )Click yes When it Ask you Whether You Want to
Code:
The Current Files System is Read-only. Do You Want to remount as read-write and continue the Operation?
4) Select the file and change the permissions of the apk under select permissions
4) Tick all the boxes under read and only the first one under write and click OK
5) It should look like rw-r--r--
6) Then cut the Apk and pate it to /Root/System/app
And reboot and enjoy
The the app force closes (For Example - Swift Key ) go here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2661238
Hit Thank If It Helped You
You may also need to move files from /data/data. For example moving Swiftkey needs moving files from /system/lib and /data/data

I simply used twrp to copy some apps into /system/app
Hi, while millions of people wanted to change normal apps into system apps. I want to change system apps into normal apps.
I know this is the weirdest request you never found on xda history. But I need to remove system privilege on Google Photos because it blocks me from controlling background power consumption (only user app can be changed like that). I'm on realme UI 2.0 unrooted, if it has to be root I'd still take your advice. Thanks.
Want to find the apk of any installed apps in your android phone ???
Follow these simple steps.
step 1: Download and install Root explorer apk
step 2: Open root explorer
step 3: Under ROOT tab navigate to data >> app.
You will find the apk of your installed app beginning with com....
copy the required apk to another location and enjoy.
If you like this post pls hit the rhanks button.
FOR SYSTEM APPS, IN STEP 3 NAVIGATES TO system >> app.
NOTE:YOU NEED ROOT ACCESS FOR INSTALLING ROOT EXPLORER.
DO NOT DELETE THE APKs FROM THE ABOVE MENTIONED LOCATION.
If you don't have root access just download app backup from the play store.
Awesome post......keep it up
Otherwise, if you don't have root access, you can download the app "Super Backup" from Google Play, where it can backup any app on phone without root access. Even if you have root access, it will be much easier and faster to backup it from the app instead of going though the hassle to backup some apps. As many have asked about this, I am writing this tutorial. It is a simple trick. But for that you need to root your device or atleast have TWRP recovery installed. I am going to give two methods, if first simpler method does not work (it does not for me), then go to second.
If you know how to edit build.prop, then just do this, add 3 lines given below:
Code:
ro.hdmi.enable=true
ro.hdmi.mirror.enable=true
persist.debug.wfd.enable=1
If you have any issues see method 2.
If you don't know what is build.prop don't worry, I will say steps.
Method 1
This method involves directly editing the build.prop using es file explorer.
Download ES File Explorer from play store
Enable "Root Explorer" in ES and give root permission. Click the "Root Explorer" and then "mount R/W" and then mount system "RW".
Now click "device" in ES and then go to "system" folder, you will find a file named "build.prop".
Open that file in ES note editor which is already installed by ES. Click pencil icon to edit.
Scroll to last and then add the 3 lines I mentioned in this thread and save the file.
Now simply exit the app and restart your device.
Now open settings then display then cast, click 3 dots on top right and enable Wireless Display.
Method 2
As I seen in many phone, the build.prop file restores to original during reboot, which is causing the method 1 to not work, so use this method to to do the edit from TWRP file manager. This method worked perfectly in my phone. See steps below:
Follow till 3rd step in method 1 and just copy the file "build.prop" to Internal storage.
Now edit the copied file in internal storage as mentioned in 4th and 5th step of method 1 by adding 3 lines.
Reboot to twrp recovery, you may use the app named Quick Reboot [ROOT] from play store.
Now in TWRP go to Advanced and then choose file manager.
Scroll down and go to the folder "sdcard" that is your internal storage. Now click the build.prop file there and choose copy.
Now go to system folder and copy/paste the file.
Reboot to android. Now do 7th step in method 1.
Screen cast can be enabled by magisk too. See this https://www.xda-developers.com/magi...iracast-and-tethering-and-disable-adb-notify/
For me that did not work so I myself made magisk module zip. Please check the attachment. Just download and install from magisk or twrp. It is tested to work in magisk 15.0+
Note this method may work in other phones too, but I don't have those phones with me. I have received many messages asking how to do this, so I am making this to help all of them.
Thanks to Dhruv_Agarwal in Telegram for giving me the 3 lines of code.
Please help me im using lenovo k8 note oreo. I have entering that 3 lines on build.prop then i rebooted my mobile it got stuck on bootloop,

Update (February 7, 2023)
Get the latest version of MixPlorer for Android 13 which was released a few days ago. Allow it to access data and obb folders. It's the only File Manager app that can access them right now.
Method 1-
• Download and install Files by Google
• Tap and hold on it, go to app info, allow the app to modify system settings
• Open the app, copy your game/app obb or data file to the Android folder inside your device storage. Then move it to obb or data folder on Android.
Method 2-
• Download and install Mixplorer by Hootan Parsha.
• Tap and hold on it, go to app info, allow the app to modify system settings
• Open the app, copy your game/app obb or data file to the Android/data or Android/obb folder inside your device storage. The app will ask you to choose the folder you want to modify. Simply open and select Android folder.
• Now you can copy/move without any hassle
Method 3 (requires root) -
• Download and install Root Explorer.
• Tap and hold on it, go to app info, allow the app to modify system settings
• Open the app, copy your game/app obb or data file to the Android/data or Android/obb folder inside your device storage. It will ask write permission on the app, press okay.
• Then it will ask root permission. Grant it and you're good to go.
Method 4 (requires a custom recovery) -
• Reboot to TWRP, PitchBlack, OrangeFox
• Go to settings - mount and tick system
• Now go to recovery file manager, navigate to your file, tap or it or press and hold to get the options, then copy/paste it to Android/data or Android/obb
• Reboot
I know it's a really basic tutorial for a lot but the more people know the better.
Good day, update!
Method 1, ist kaput.
Does not work. Recognizes Android folder ONLY AND if you copy to it, it rejects your copy or move.
Method 2, failed as well
Don t know how to implement 3 n 4
On Samsung devices and others with android 12 and newest, simply doesn't work any method without root, even when u have app that is asking for permission to have access to copy or do something with android folder, because even with that kind of app your every next move is handled by samsung app, so needless to say, u need to do a root...
