-Google Lens will be enabled on google assistant
-"Hey Google" hotword

Instructions
Well lot of u people might have enabled google lens in photos application but the assistant integration of lens is kept exclusively for google phones but it can be enabled by changing certain build.prop codes
-open root explorer
-navigate to system/build.prop
-Look for these codes : [the font written in italics will not be seen in the codes - your device info will be there]
Code:
ro.product.model=[I]your phone's model[/I]
ro.product.brand=[I]your phone's brand[/I]
ro.product.manufacturer=[I]your phone's manufacturer[/I]
-Change these values to :

ro.product.model=Pixel 2 XL

-now add this line at the end :

-save the file
-clear Google apps data

i dont think so ...as it's still in developement stage they might not have implemented languages other than English (US)
what should i change in redmi3s build prompt , product model =Pixel 2XL or product devices =Pixel 2 XL
This worked but ok google detection no longer works and the option in settings is grayed out and says "not supported in current language". I'm on US English.

By "Clear Google Apps data", do you mean clearing data and cache for the Google app? I did just that and no lens button for me.

I read an article here on XDA which said that Google fixed this trick, so now it won't work unfortunately.

I restarted and signed in again and it appeared. Works like a charm. I'm on a nextbit Robin running Resurrection Remix BTW.

Mmh, weird. Don't know what build your ROM is based but I think Google fixed the trick with the latest build of January.
It works. You just need to wait until a kind of "server switch" automatically enables your google lens. But, at exactly the same time you'll loose the "anytime OK Google hotword detection" feature.
So, it's a difficult choice for me
Any workaround to fix this?
Confirmed working here in the UK on my S8 running the new Oreo release.

Did it worked immediately after rebooting or did you had to wait some time until Google "pulled the switch"?
I did everything as mentioned and flashed the zip, but only habe lens in Google Photos now. Maybe i need to set my language to English? (It's German now, but I'll read that lens is also available in Germany)

I had to wait a few moments after reboot. Recently flashed a new ROM and had to do it again. Took a bit longer second time round (like half an hour).
I think it will only work for English language currently (US, UK, Australia, Canada etc.).

I'm not sure if it's a system level language change or just per app. I would try the app to begin with just to be safe.

NOTE: If you are updating your ROM, please flash the keyboard zip after the update again, allways.

btw i wasn't able to get log for AOSP 5.1 as i tried installing by flashing zip didn't worked so checked if your mentioned folder exists in system/app with all files as per flashable zip or not & permissions as well everything was fine then went ahead & did factory reset & tried same again but didn't worked so went ahead & checked all apk's installed to check if keyboard apk is installed or not & as i guessed it wasn't so last option to install manually & make it system app with proper permissions but while installing manually normal mode & forcefully via adb didn't worked parse error & i guess until a app is not installed there is no way to get logcat

in language & input settings press on "actual keyboard" , on the popup again press. "choose keyboard" then u can activate it.

thanks for your support, i have found the problem: the root/recovery app doesn't works good on my phone, the file is partial and i cant copy/move in "manual mode" your apk because I can't write/overwrite files without corrupt it...

Cleaned data and didn't work. I flashed using TWRP, also tryed manual setup. Android version is 4.4.4.

Almost perfect on Nexus 5 Android 5.1 Cataclysm. Only problem I had was the Fc when I was trying to download additional languages. As workaround I was installing an older port of Z3 keyboard, download the desired languages and the flash again this keyboard. Tho the problem might be with SELinux permissive but is too late for me to test. For now I'm happy fhat I managed to make it to work. Was expecting for long time for a material Xperia keyboard (best OEM keyboard in my opinion). Tomorrow I'll test if the issue is with SELinux or not.

you can rename the apk to your wishes. (doesent affect anything but i think if same package name inside it will delete one of them after reboot) or you install 2nd keyboard lik google one, then backup current xperia keyboard to SD, delete from system, manual install my keyboard.

I only want google assistant and the wallpaper features, hate the camera? Is there a way to exclude some apps in the package?

sol1: my pack has nothing to do with xda app
sol2: not at all a problem when the slider work perfectly fine... its the mistake of the app
sol3: a reboot solves the problem with assistant, then works perfect (see the attatchments )
sol4:as i stated in post #2, earth wallpapers is a wip, and i wil update one soon ,
and sol5: i too used it on aicp and i found only one of your issues to be true.. thats with earth live walls and the clock force close.. and i dont see how its not at all stable too..
please try again with my solutions i mentions and report back

i dont know anything about you loosing lineage camera, thats wiered, you are the only case..

i was just lighting that it was the same kind of issue with first Nougat Rom with gallery crash when attaching image...
so may be i still need a 3rd party app for using images in apps
I will try VF right now.

I just updated from 7.6.10 epic to 7.9.7 epic. No problem. Working fine. Keyboard only google keyboard installed. And mi account working no problem.

My opinion is: If I update from 7.6.10 to 7.9.7 it's OK. but when I try to install 7.9.7 from clean devices, it had no keyboard, then I can't enter my mi account password and my device has been locked.

I used both EPIC 7.6.10 and 7.9.7. It's very good and I love EPIC and xiaomi.eu. But both of theme have a bug in fingerprint and set screen lock setting if you use PIN for screen lock. Now I'm using Global 7.9.15 , it's also a good ROM.

Yeahh so far its good, not getting problem. Only fingerprint didnt work to unlock after phone restart. Must unlock first. After that fingerprint worked no problem from screen off to unlock. Battery so far not draining. And also no overheat like in miui pro.
Completely bugged !

On mine working normally. No heat. Sim used dual working no problem. Internet smooth. Good battery too.
7.6.10 I have LTE but I can't install apps from play store, 7.9.7 I dont have LTE but can install apps from play store lol

I used both EPIC 7.6.10 and 7.9.7. It's very good and I love EPIC and xiaomi.eu. But both of theme have a bug in fingerprint and set screen lock setting if you use PIN for screen lock. Now I'm using Global 7.9.15 , it's also a good ROM.

Due to the inability to edit pin code or add new fingerprints, I had to pull up my stock backup...
Try change ur phone language to english uk. It solved the network problem. These rom ONLY APPLIED VIA TWRP. UNDERSTAND.
I hv given up on gaming with miui, but yesterday I think I found the real trick, I installed nova launcher as i did in aosp roms, and I don't know and I still wonder why my game (mobile legend) plays smoother and with hi graphichs. yeah but I got some fps drop randomly, then I try to greenify the system launcher which is not being used (cause I'm using nova), and got more improvement, then after 30 to 1 hour my phone heating much (yeah mediatek s*cks) and trigered what they called thermal throttling and my game lags.
so then I disable thermal controll by editing build.prop, change the ro.build.type=user to ro.build.type=eng. and then go to mtk engineering change the thermal policy to thermal protection only, and now my lovely games run as smooth as in aosp. fluidity, good camera, multitasking, awesome gaming, practically everything
Found bug. Google assistant some times work...sometimes not working.

problems found -> 1. when one sim card is deactivated com.android.phone process crashes all the time and you can't enter the menu to activate sim again
-> 2. menu - additional settings -> cannot change region (selected is China)

Hi guys!! Whats up. This is Shwetank here from Tech Stuff. Most of you might know me. For the ones who don't know me, please search on YouTube as "Tech Stuff".
This ROM is a port from Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro(Kenzo)'s MiUI 10 V8.7.26 Chinese Alpha. And that's why there are only 5 languages in this ROM including English, Mandarin.......
I want to thank @ycjeson for his various libs to make the ROM run at a very stable condition.
Since this ROM was Chinese, it took me a lot of time to remove all the Chinese Bloatware and add Google Apps in it.
What's Working:---
1) EVERYTHING
Bugs:-----
1) VoLTE is not working VoLTE working in new version. Check here
2) GPS is not very accurate ( I'm working to fix that) ISSUE FIXED
Just Open the compass app and rotate your phone several times in all the directions along its axis. And restart your phone. GPS will work fine.
3) Brightness Issue (Completely dark in lowest level, Not too bright at Highest level. Solution to this issue is using Boot Shell method which can be found on my YouTube Channel.
Just disable auto brightness to get stock ROM like brightness

Yes. It's marshmallow. No SLR camera.
Install it over Android 6. Wipe everything except internal storage> flash it

I have built a custom version of ProtonAOSP that is customized to my personal specifications. This ROM is NOT a general-purpose ROM like ProtonAOSP is.
What are the differences?
Seedvault has been implemented. It does not rely on GMS backup anymore.
Lawnchair is the default launcher.
AOSP stock apps have been replaced with the Simple Mobile Tools apps. I find them to be more interesting and better looking than the AOSP apps.
Stock camera has been replaced with CameraPX, a modded GCam.
Aurora Droid, Services, and Store have been included.
MicroG has been implemented. Full signature spoofing since ProtonAOSP includes that too.
FlorisBoard is default.
Includes support for locking the bootloader so AVB doesn't throw a hissy fit.

A lot of ROMs, especially the ones for coral/flame usually come with GApps out of the box or they come with nothing except dialer, messaging, browser, and a launcher OR they are out of date (on Android 10/11). There really are no ROMs that come out of the box configured with the same setup as this one does now. That's why I made it and I decided to share it.

Thanks for your great work, @kuantum69. All the ease of use without the personal data collection from Google. Will certainly be trying this out, thank you for brining the Simple Mobile Tools apps to attention as well. Some great choices here.
You should fix the installer or include the bootloader being called so its an all-in-one firmware like Proton is (to reduce confusion and issues by newbs). Proton has the bootloader in the zip so the installer works without requiring any other firmware prep beforehand (same as a stock firmware is, all-in-one). Your version may not work as intended due to missing the bootloader being expected by your installer, but not there (in the zip). This may cause a bootloop issue if the older bootloader is left on the device and there is a major OS version change or AOSP/stock/Proton/ETC change with the /system around it upgraded or downgraded BUT the bootloader remained the same version prior. This may cause a loop or worse, data-loss if a newb cannot recover from it:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-coral-.img
Missing bootloader in zip
Please do NOT take this as a negative attack, its not. I am simply pointing out the code is wrong (missing bootloader) so newbs do not try it assuming its all-in-one and have issues.

The problem mainly is that I do not know how to do OTA updates.
The Updater from GrapheneOS is neat but to rework the server side component and make it work with ProtonAOSP is a lot of work that I don't have time for.
Realistically, you could just flash the image itself and that would be the equivalent of an OTA update. I included Seedvault because of the limitation of not having OTA updates and the fact that keys might change when unlocking the bootloader, at least you would have a backup.

I understand, thank you for the response. My PC is kaput, so all I have is a pi 4 and the repo isn't updated to the latest adb, so I can't flash factory images with it.
