Hi all,
I recently updated my XZP to Android 8.0 and having some lagging issue.
I believe this is largely because of third party apps that I previously installed with 7.1.1 which have not been updated to be compatible with 8.0.
So I'm planning to uninstall or disable those app to see if things improve, but since there are so many apps installed, I have no idea where to begin.
My question:
Is there any easy way to check OS compatibility of installed apps?

This is the xposed module Keepchat. Its been pulled at request of Snapchat and no longer available.
This version of Snapchat is the latest it worked with. DO NOT UPDATE TO CURRENT VERSION IN PLAY STORE. YOU WILL BREAK COMPATIBILITY.
Uninstall Snapchat, download and install this older version. Download and install Keepchat module, activate in xposed and reboot.

Just got a notification from teamshapchat that my version of snapchat will no longer be supported. I imagine it is because they want to force people to versions that keepchat and other apps aren't compatible with. Any alternatives to keepchat that snapchat hasn't covered that can work with a more recent version of snapchat that they aren't phasing out, or any way to fool snapchat's servers into thinking I have an updated version of snapchat?
The latest version listed in Google Play is 9.8.0.0 as of May 19, 2015. I'm on 8.1.2 as of right now. Is 8.1.2 the version offered in your archive link? If not, is it new enough that it isn't being phased out as of yet?

Snapprefs supports 9.3.1.0 it's Xposed like Keepchat, logging back in is kinda tricky so be sure to read post 2 on how, but saving snaps and sharing from gallery all work on that version.

Can someone who's running Android 5.0 and a custom recovery on their Nexus Player see how the x86 version of Xposed works with modules such as YouTube AdAway and Burnt Toast? I would try it myself but my Nexus Player is on Android 5.1 which isn't officially supported by Xposed yet.
After rovo89 releases Xposed for Android 5.1 (x86), I wonder if someone could develop and release a module for the Nexus Player which would restore the three-dots menu option that many apps normally use for full functionality.
After installing TWRP on my Nexus Player and freeing up some space on the system partition, I installed xposed-v65-sdk22-x86-by-romracer-20150629.zip followed by XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk. I also installed YouTube AdAway v2.5.2, enabled it and rebooted the device. The module doesn't yet block YouTube video ads on the Nexus Player, however. I've posted about the matter in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61617838&postcount=873 to notify the developer so hopefully there's an update for it soon.
The Burnt Toast module works as expected. I also tried a module called "3dot Menu Mod" to see if it would bring back the 3-dot menus on the Nexus Player with Android 5.1+ but this module was last updated in September of 2013 and does not work on this device. It does give me hope that a newer version or a similar module may one day be released for the Nexus Player, however.
For anyone who's running Xposed on their Nexus Player with Android 5.1, I recommend that you update to the unofficial 20150702 release from romracer if you haven't yet done so. It may have fixed a bug where my device was randomly rebooting in to recovery on its own.
If you've been following the thread for YouTube AdAway at http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/app-t2547316, you may have noticed that the developer of that useful module has begun work on adding support for Android TV. It's still in the early stages but a welcome sign nonetheless.
I'm happy to report that YouTube AdAway v2.6.1 now removes video ads on Android TV devices including the Nexus Player! This is great news and any other users who try it out are welcome to post their results.
What apps are safe to remove on the system so that I can installed Xposed?
Got it, I deleted the system apps like Music, Videos, Youtube, Games, Cast, Korean IME, Japanese IME, etc and the apps still work as they were in the data partition as a part of updates to apps.
You've got the right idea. The removal of foreign language input apps, files and folders from the system partition should clear up enough space for Xposed.

Thanks for sharing!
I've been a fan of Xposed since it's release and will definitely install it on my Nexus Player now that there's a use for it!
I've been seeing a slight issue with people running Android M and trying to use Snapchat. Remember if you're going to test a developing OS you're going to run into issues and bugs like this one. On snapchat's recent update they changed some user interface. For some reason this caused the app to force close after you login. I have found a temporary solution. If you have the newest update for snapchat you will need to uninstall it and downgrade the apk so is running (Snapchat 9.10.June 16, 2015.) I'm only aware of this issue for the Nexus 5 running on Android M
I have listed the link to the apks location below. I do not support nor participate with the website this is just where I found the apk.
Turn off auto-updates apps!!!

Hello everyone!
First of all I hope that I didn't get the section wrong - if yes, just let me know
So, my dad have some big issue with Android System WebView in his car. He is pretty smart with technology so he was able to install his android system in car:
MCU Version: MTCE_MX_V3.73_1
Kernel Version: 4.19.111+
Compilation: rk3368-userdebug 10 QQ2A
Main goal for my dad is to use Internet Radios (stream) from APPS. After last update of Android System WebView every Radio app stopped working, like you turn them on, there is loading and app is going down. My dad uninstalled all up-dates from Android System WebView and apps started working properly (so we know where problem is) BUUUUUT, even when he TURNED OFF AUTO UPDATE on APP settings, and also on Google Play settings, his system updated it anyway.
Now we got problem because after this update, he can NOT use Chrome app or EVEN GOOGLE PLAY so actually he can not get into google play to uninstall updates. I know he did couple of factory resets to get back to properly working system but we need help for sure.
Any suggestions? We would like to make his radio apps working on, and how to force android TO NOT update this Android System WebView.
If You need some more informations just let me know, hope we can fix it.
Thanks!

@rigattoni thanks, made new one, not sure if I can close this one.

You either stop all auto updates from the store settings or even better you disable auto updates for an application, once again from store, installed applications, find the application and turn auto updates off for it.
If you cannot open play store then maybe a reset is in need

We already did, like I wrote " even when he TURNED OFF AUTO UPDATE on APP settings, and also on Google Play settings, his system updated it anyway."
Thats the problem, we dont know why it was updated anyway after 2-3 days
Try WebView version 100.0.4896.127 from 04/14/2022. Chrome version: 100.0.4896.127 from 04/15/2022. Then disable updates for both.
You can use a VPN solution like afwall or tracker control to block internet access from play store, then update the apps using aurora store.
If magisk is installed you can get a proper solution to block access.
I use nanodroid system WebView module to have and "old" bromite WebView that isn't updated unless I do it. I don't update it because all webviews (chromium, bromite, mulch, google ...) stop working on my px6 with a recent version.
What about rooting the device and then using LuckyPatcher or something similar to delete it? I've been using LP on my phones for years, I haven't figured out how to safely root my PX6 RK3399 stereo yet but I'm looking around as I'm writing this.
