Standby Screen Tinted White - Huawei Watch 2

Hi, just got my HWatch 2, upgraded from LG G Watch R.
one thing ive noticed is that the screen is tinted purple-ish when the standby screen is on. I emailed and tweated Hiawei, email said it was an issue, twitter response said its normal
So I thought id throw it out there, is this something other people have seen? tinted white text when standby screen is on and normal white when screen is on full?
Screen off - tinted
Screen on - ok
thanks

I havent noticed this but this seems normal because if the screen had some kind of problem, it would have been like that in every white situation
but if you tell me which watchface this is, I will try to test it for you :good:

I agree. I think it's fine but wanted to check.its a stock watchface called explorer

Nexus 5 display multicolored dots and black screen

Hey guys,
my phone felt on the floor and the screen was broken. Unfortunatly also the display showed just colored dots. So I bought a display on ebay replaced it and it worked fine. After a few days the screen started to flicker and after one day the screen was completely stuck. It showed the same pattern (colored dots like on the TV) like it did before. I made a hard reset and it worked again. After a few days the same problem. Then i read that i should replace the USB Flex cable. I did it but still nothing is better.
As I said, when I make a hard reset it works for a few days/hours and then I end up with a colored or even completly black screen . The digitzier seems to work because it reacts to touch gestures. Also the phone itself works (gets messages etc.) while the screen makes the problems.
Could you help me out here or give me a hint what I could test to find out what I realy have to replace?

Screen Burn In

Hello everyone.. I just got my (used) S7 today and I noticed that the status bar is whiter than the rest of the screen. As if the status bar is clearly white, while the rest of the screen is yellowish? Does this happen often ? Or is it just me ? Please state if it is or it is not happening to you (makes my nerves normal again
I have checked with my friend.. he has the same problem..my next concern is battery..from 100% to 90% in 20 minutes of screen of time

screen issue

Today my screen made some funny stuff for about a minute the screen sides are black and random colors were splashed on the screen (blue, red, green etc..) the screen was half messed up and the other half where you could actually see the UI the colors were all faded. This stayed for about a minute and then returned to normal.
I'm worried now that this is the end of the life of this screen. Anybody had this issue? Note that the phone useage was normal not even heavy and it did not drop or anything of that sort

Screen Issue!

So the other day i got a call on viber (a calling app) and when you get a call the status bars not transparent so it was still black anyway after the phone call i noticed a black dark pixel on my status bar and it annoyed me it was on my home screen, on the play store. If i watched a video in full screen or a white screen i couldn't see it. Anyway i gotta viber call again and thru the black status bar i seen the same black dot glitch like it couldn't turn the pixel off anyways it magically fixed. Well it was gone till i woke up this morning it came back, it looks like a dead pixel or a dark grey pixel or something. What should i do. I have 12 months of waranty from wanda mobile but im not sure it will do anything
You sure it's not the proximity sensor?

It's hard to say if this is really a dead pixel. If it's really really tiny dot then it is probably a dead pixel.
Other wise it could be a glitch from a app causing a black dot on screen which isn't impossible.
So try removing viber completely and see if it stays if it does then it's probably a dead pixel or stuck pixel. But if it disappears immediately and never returns then there is a bug in viber app causing it to do tiny dot on your screen.

I had a very similar issue, but in my case it was white pulsing light after Viber call and only when I was tilting the phone. This resolved after reboot.
I would suggest you download a dead pixel checker app from the store and see if it is really a dead pixel. Also, is it always there or only when tinting the screen? Is it constantly there or pulsing / going away and then appearing?
I use this app to check dead pixel: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bean.android.screeninspector&hl=en&gl=US

So its not dead because if i watch movies or videos in full screen with nice color i cannot see it but if im in an app with a grey blue, lightblue, etc i can see it. But it bothers me a lot especially considering this was a 1400 dollar phone
Switch screen resolution and see if it does anything. Sometimes these artifacts stick just because samsung is too buggy.

Mine is also on the same place, but mine is proximity sensor like a dot. Your seems like there are some dead pixels around the proximity sensor.
That doesn't look like dead pixels at all. If it was dead pixel it would be clear black dot not ha transparent grayish type of spot. I also checked my note 20 ultra for this by going on gray background and saw nothing like this on mine. So either it's a burn mark that it has burnt something in that the viber app has caused or it's something else.
Download Display Tester from the play store and take some pics with solid colors being displayed. It looks like the aggressive usage of the proximity sensor from Viber has effected that area.

Try to use the software to test dead pixels on grey blue and lightblue background to narrow down the issue.
For me, it happened everywhere and fixed once I rebooted the phone.

Green Screen

Hey guys, new to XDA here.
My phone is currently experiencing green screen. It started 2 days ago. I have been using dark mode since I got this phone last year and two days ago I noticed that the screen color isnt as vibrant. Imagine a black screen with a bit of white color. I also noticed that the lower right of my screen got really hot.
Then I restarted my phone a couple of times and I also noticed that during the Huawei animation, green spots started to display on the screen. Also, the whole screen starts to green when unlocking using fingerprint.
I turned off my screen the qhole day and opened it before I went to sleep and the issue went away. But right now, the screen would randomly flicker and display green color.
Im not sure if this is a display issue. But I have read that Mate 20 suffers this as well. I wanted to ask here first before I bring this to the service center.
Anyone experiencing this as well? How did you fix it?
Thanks!
Ok, so my phone is experiencing the greenscreen right now and I dont think it will disappear anytime soon. I did, however, install the Device Info HW app on my phone. There is this 'shell_back' on the 'Thermal' tab that had risen to 41 degrees. Any idea what that is?
