I'm about to buy this same radio, do you have more info about it?
Do you know if the little tecnical difference (the 4gb ram) is going to be a problem with modding?
I have the device for a week and Malaysk V6.2 on it, runs up to the USB problem very well and smoothly.

@Oberbergler
I have the problem with Malaysk V6.2 that the cold start the USB connection is mounted too late, Since with me the DAB app is in the autostart it comes here to the misfire and is only the second time started, the same I have when the device in put the sleep mode and start again after 5 hours, I went back to the V5 where there are no problems with USB and the autostart works correctly.

I would like to ask whether this model has the option of spreading SD cards, there is no SD slot anywhere in the pictures. And if the SD slot does not have the installation of a custom ROM over USB problem-free?
Device does not have an SD Katen slot, you can import Malaysia easily via USB.
My unit has since been fitted to my Octavia with reversing camera and dab. All working ok including Google maps as the nav and the latest version? Might try the updates dab app though as the stock don't look very pretty lol. Is there any reason to upgrade to malaysk ROM? Still playing with it and it seams ok for now. Hi,
I broke the screen on my Nexus 5 while on a long holiday. I can still see about three quarters of the screen but the touch screen is basically busted, and as a result, I can't unlock the phone to get the data off. I backed up 90% of the photos via Dropbox but there is one week of photos I couldn't upload and there are also some really nice videos I'd like to get off.
Is there any way to sync to the file system without unlocking via the touchscreen? I don't think I have debugging disabled (I'm not particularly development savvy) so not sure what my options are...
I have a little time before I need to send the phone to LG for repair, so I'm willing to learn whatever I need to to salvage my phone. I think I saw a thread somewhere detailing how it's down for the nexus 4 but not sure if it's applicable to the 5 as well...
Thanks

I don't think it is as I didn't make any modifications to my phone, just used it with the standard features.
Is it possible to unlock the bootloader now, with the screen being broken?

Thanks, that's a pretty good idea! I'm looking at OTG USB cables now but I do have one question, will I need drivers in order to use the USB mouse, or will it work as soon as I plug it in? I read somewhere that if you have the latest Android software then the USB devices should be recognised without a problem, however, my phone has been out of action for a couple of months now so my software may be out of date...

By latest, I don't think they specifically mean the newest ROM for the nexus 5. Probably just mean 4 or 4.2+
As mentioned, no drivers needed. Just plug and play.

You have to use an OTG cable. Not ordinary micro USB cable with female USB end. Secondly some OTG cables are faulty. So make sure that the one you are using is working well.

I was able to update to lollipop using the OTG I don't know why it is not working.
Thank you,
I have a friend who has this^^ phone model, and I wanted to transfer a file to her phone from my thumb drive, using an OTG adapter, both of which I use all the time with my phone. When I plugged it in, it said "preparing USB storage," but then no further notifications. I went to Settings>Storage and saw that her phone had detected that the USB was connected, we could see used and available space on the USB, but we were unable to view or access any files on the USB. So is this a problem with their UI? Is the phone just not compatible?

Hi,
Purchased nexus 5 (refurb) and as the tittle states, my computer seems unable to recognize this device. I've switched the USB cable as well as test it with another device AND I made sure that the usb configuration is set to MTP,so I know it's the nexus itself. Weirdly, it does receive a charge. Any help would be appreciated as I am hoping to root this device.
Thanks guys
You tried different USB ports?
If you are using Windows, no new devices appear in device manager after connecting the phone?
Was it ever recognize by your computer? Was it recognized by the seller's computer?
Once connected to your computer, swipe down on the Nexus 5 screen, there will be options to change connection type.

Seriously? Nice try though, thanks anyway
Does the phone function properly other than not being seen by your computer? Were you able to try it on another computer?
Does the USB port recognize an OTG drive?
If everything works (mic, speaker, etc.), it's possible that the USB port is damaged in some way.

I'm assuming it has to be damaged. I've tried three computers so far and all it's doing is charging the phone. I don't have an OTG cable on hand so it's hard to determine if it would work that way, but pretty much everything works out of the box except for this issue.
This is pretty annoying, I was looking forward to putting some custom ROM's after working with the s6edge sluggish Touchwiz software
Yup, sounds like th USB port is damaged and needs to be replaced.
When buying a replacement, make that the seller has good feedback. I saw a few posts where the replacement port had issues with the mic, charging, or data transfer.

Not alot of excitement here over the update...
Clean flashed , found no need for root as kodi and sd card set up without issue. No issues streaming netflix/kodi/youtube. Even managed to connect MS wedge mouse ( click return after you see mouse pointer and before the pairing or it fails to stay connected). overall smooth and responsive update for me. I still cant believe I paid 80 bucks for this thing over a year ago now. Thanks Google, your the best ! Now, off to 6 forum to ***** about that crappy Google for no 7.1 , that Google, they're the worst.

Noticed I can hold the circle button to bring up context menu in kodi ( not sure if this was already doable?) but still temp booted twrp and flashed remote/buffer tweak and 720 2.0 streams are quick to load and stable. youtube HD is also stable for me.

Had the same Problem. Just quit the Beta Program.
I received the Update immediately after that.
I was also wondering why I hadn't got the update to 7.1.1, then I remembered I was in the beta. Removed the box from the beta and got two updates immediately to 7.1.1.

Hi all,
I've been searching for answers to this issue to no avail so far!
The Bluetooth works flawlessly when it works but after the unit has been off for a few hours and comes back out of sleep or even after a full shutdown, the Bluetooth stops working and looses both its name and passcode
Sometimes takes up to 3 full reboots to get it back
It's got an sd-968 in a px3 unit running Malaysk ROM also with the most recent MCU
It did the same on stock ROM too
Thanks!

AFAIK there is no USB bluetooth module that works with our units...if technical support is going to send you a replacement it will be a full coreboard replacement.

The same situation with my PX5 Dasaita - very rare, but some times bluetooth looses name and password. Can t find what is the cause...
Regards
I have a KBT unit and the same has been happening to me too. Initially the name was "EONON" (the reseller) and passcode something starting with 5. For no apparent reason the name would change to "CAR-KIT" and passcose 1234. The same happened after I upgraded the SoC from a PX3 to a PX5, updating the MCU and firmware (multiple times for reasons unleated to this). After the upgrade it would go back to "EONON" and at some point it would change to "CAR-KIT" again.

Hello, i have the same problem with the same bt chip.
SD-968 on Eonon navigation. Last summer it was working ok if i remember correctly when i was on stock rom, but then i changed to malasyk and hal9k, and i have problems.
I checked the factory settings and i have SD-968 option on BT. I even dissasembled the navigation to physically check if i have SD-968 and its there!
If i put the navi to autosleep, almost never wakes up with BT available. Always no name and no password with no luck of writing them back. The only solution is to reset the navi once, maybe twice.
I tried to put it on auto off after 30mins, so it will do a full bootup, and maybe 5 times out of 10, it works.
Maybe is has something to do with the cold? i tried the navi on my table in the house and it was a perfect 10/10 at bootup.
