You can choose between English US / English UK in your phone for the watch language.

Google App broke it on the last update. You can check by uninstalling the Google App on the watch. It will uninstall the updates. Test to see if "OK Google" works.

I have same issue: ok google hotword is not working...tried changing language (i'm italian )resetting watch and also phone...downgrading google app, setting all authorization on...nothing worked...can someone help?

Smells like a temporary fix for the slowdown caused by ok Google, deactivate it ??

Had the same problem. Deleting cache and data of Google app on the watch worked for me. OK google finally works, but I cannot send WhatsApp messages via ok Google. After a reset it's possible but only for a few hours. Strange.

I had an update for Google few minutes ago. Try to install it and check it out later.

[Q] How to enable Google now in China, please!

Hi there,
I am from China and before getting my nexus 5 I owned a galaxy nexus, in which Google now works well just when phone is switched into En-US.
Now for nexus 5 this does not work.
someone uses a AT&T SIM card to enable google now.
some turns the phone into airplane model, turns off location and connects to VPN network to enable it.
Some says "Ok Google" then follow the instructions to enable it.
It seems that all these does not work for me, is there a easy way to enable Google now.
Regards

What worked for you? I had to uninstall Google search with titanium backup, install Google search 2.6, enable google now, then update to the latest version of search to have google now enabled in China. This is kind of annoying though as you can't flash otas if you do this because it modifies some system files. If you do my method you'll have to reflash the system image to update manually. So I'm wondering if you could share your method here.
Thanks!
sorry, I forgot posting, I just did the same as you did.

1-you need a proxy(Fqrouter or GAE)
2-install Market Unlocker
3-run Market Unlocker and select Enable Unlocker and Auto Unlock(You should already be connected to another market)
4-If you dont have Google Experience Launcher, then install it
5-Clear data of Google Search app and Play Store
6-Long press on the screen until the settings toggle of the laucher appears
7-Select settings
8-By now you should be able to activate Google Now.Done
I hope this has been helpful.Cheers

[Q] Lollipop: No Voice Search, Ok Goodle, TTS..

Interesting one, and can't figure out why it's happening - so if anyone has any thoughts x)
Flashed L tonight, all went smoothly and generally everything is fine. The only weird thing is that Google Voice search has stopped working. I press the Voice search button, and it just doesn't pick up any sound. I trying saying "ok google", and it doesn't pick that up either. Also, along with that, Text to Speech refuses to work too, tried with different languages and different voice packs.
Any ideas?
I know I had to go into the Google Now settings and activate the "OK Google" from any screen, to get it to work.
I had the same problem when setting another language as the primary language, then switching back to English, but something seemed bugged.
Removing all the other languages and restoring English (US) only, and finally rebooting, resolved the issue. Hope this helps.

Hmm, just gave that a try, no dice Was it just the Voice language or the whole phone that you had to change?
The weird thing is, it's like it's not even connecting to the microphone, just sits there listening and not hearing anything x)
Yes, that was exactly the same behavior i had with mine. I also ended up trying to configure Ok Google from any screen, and the voice training feature didn't hear anything, remaining stuck on the 1st of 3 verifications.
Maybe you can try going to Settings > App > All > Google Search and deleting cache/data to restore it brand new.

Tried that, and reflashing it, factory reset etc. Turns out the problem is slightly wider than just that not working though - It's killed the Microphone completely, can't make voice calls, it's like it's just not picking up the mix exists for some reason :S
It takes time to activate, there is a backend update of google going on while you select your language, but eventually comes back on.
Try voice typing if your believe the mic is not doing any good for "ok google"

just to try it out to rule out whether it's the telephony app or in effect a bug which affects 5.0 as a whole(which i highly doubt, because i have mine working like a charm) Hell mine even works on off-screen while charging.

Ok, voice search nothing, voice typing nothing, Making Phone calls, nothing x) The only thing I haven't managed to try yet is downloading a 3rd party voice recorder app - but unfortunately I'm on GSM at work and for some reason, Lollipop is refusing to connect to the wifi as well. Good times
Might just flash it back to 4.4.4 and wait for the OTA upgrade to see if that does it better
Just as an additional - managed to download a voice recorder app.... Nothing either. So the whole OS isn't picking up the Microphone. Curiouser and curiouser
Oh hell.... I'm going to hang my head in shame now and hand in any tehcy credentials I may have once had.
I have a Pressy.... I forgot it was plugged in... I didn't install the app. Lollipop saw it as a headset and mic.
In conclusion: I'm an idiot. That is all x) Thank you for anyone who tried to help though.
I have the exact same problem but no pressy. Could it mean that there is a fault with the headphone jack?

Tricking google to bring back ok google

Let's brainstorm! So my theory is definitely that Google turned that feature off server side. This is why factory resets change nothing. When Google services reads our phone it detects its a galaxy s6 and deactivate the service. Is there a way to trick Google services into thinking it's a note 4?
Thread moved to proper forum.
Round 1 goes to google! Changed the build prop to the vz note 4. Did nothing. Downgraded google. Nadda.
May I ask what you mean? OK Google works flawlessly on my phone.

Same here. Some settings were removed a few weeks ago, but I can OK Google from the homescreen, with apex at least, haven't tried the stock launcher but I assume it would function the same if not better.

iNTEL Joying JY-UL128N2 - No "Ok Google" in all screens in Google App

So basically the issue I am experiencing is my JY-UL128N2 doesn't allow me to setup "Ok Google Everywhere" or basically allowing Ok Google from outside of the Google App. Is there any way to fix this? I really want Ok Google to work outside of the google app so I can talk to my radio and initiate commands while driving.
I attached images of my settings menu and the lack of Ok Google on any screen settings.
Does anyone know at all or has anyone else experienced this issue or am I the only one?
I noticed the same thing. I assumed it was because it's a version of Google Now for Intel, but I didn't investigate it further. Let us know if you find a solution.

It appears that this is the solution for now:
http://forum.carjoying.com/thread-218-stop-voice-inputgoogle-app-from-crashing.html
Have you tried this? Given the date of the post, I doubt it's for an Intel unit. It might not make any difference. However, the problem we're having isn't that Google voice input is crashing, but that the version of Google we have can't enable OK Google from any screen. Otherwise it seems to work fine for me.

The "Extra Credit" part applies to this issue..but no havent tried it yet.. Not sure if this will fix the issue or not...I'm kind of thinking that it won't.
Extra Credit
When you install 3.6.16, you'll find that it doesn't support OK Google except when it's in a Google app (such as Maps). Here's what I did to fix it, but I haven't tried to reproduce this to make sure these steps are absolutely essential.
1) Do all of the above steps, except you'll want to skip step 2, turning off the auto update.
2) Once you've installed 3.6.16, it'll work for some time, but at some point, Google Play will update it.
3) After Google Play updates it, do step 2 (turning off auto-update) and then repeat steps 5 and 6. At the end, you'll be back on 3.6.16, except now you'll have more options for Voice Search, including turning on Ok Google for any screen.

My Google maps is still not connecting to my car Bluetooth. What needs to be done. Has anyone facing the same problem. I got Huawei p20 pro.
You are the only one with Google maps problem?
Anyhow this is what the you need to do, first delete ALL you smartphones under Android Auto from your car system settings, from system settings also remove Bluetooth devices, now in your phone remove Android Auto, Reboot phone and re-install Android Auto and plug in to your car run setup
i dont know if this has already been answered but i have the android auto connected to my car so i can use google maps as a satnav through my car system and mid directions it will cut out and go to the home screen on the computer interface. when i click back on maps it continues my journey but whilst on the home screen no directions are read out. its super annoying and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it?
Hey guys! And what about Google Timeline? Does it work on your Huawei P20 Pro's? Cause I have a one which doesn't write a history of my positions, so my Google Timeline is empty? Does anyone know how to fix this?
