that is beautiful widgets with the basic theme. It's availible in the market as a paid app. and well worth the money. Theres a good hundered themes for it including new weather icon themes as well. And apparently theres some big addition/update coming soon.
beautiful widget is a great clock/weather app.
i also really really like weatherbug elite. it's my new favorite for weather. has a radar map widget and a 4x1 forecast widget, and the app rocks when you open it. definitely the best i've seen.
OK, where to start. I've been searching forums and the internet in general trying to find a way to mix and match Fancy widget & Beautiful Widgets to get the desired effect I'm looking for.
I've been trying endlessly to find a way to get Fancy widget to open up Beautiful Widgets Forecast when I touch the weather icon and there seems to be no easy way to do this (if it can be done at all).
Now, I must say I have tried Fancy Widget, Beautiful Widgets and Weather & Toggle Widget and so far I love the look of Fancy Widget, love the look of Beautiful Widgets Forecast and didn't like Weather & Toggle Widget at all.
I have noticed that the Forecast app/add-on does appear in my Recent apps when I long press Home; so I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me figure out a way to get Fancy Widget to see it as an app when choosing an app to open when touching the weather icon.
Also, Beautiful Widgets by default brings up the Alarms section of the Clock app but I can only get Fancy Widget to bring up the Clock app instead of directly bringing up the Alarms section. If anyone knows a way to achieve this also, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Does it have "tap to open another application" feature?
I'm not sure about what you mean with "tap to open another application" but as a registred user, if you tap on a clock file link and you have d'watchmaker installed, d'watchmaker will open automatically and will show you the working clock.
Then you will have the option to save the clock in your collection to use in d'clock live or to use directly as a d'watchmaker widget.
It's like tapping on the widget and you can open your favorite alarm clock app. It would be great
Right now, if you tap on the widget the standard alarm will open (although you can change this beahaviour through preferences).
In next release you'll be able to input the application package name, so you will be able to open whatever application you like)

I'm by no means well-versed in weather apps as I'm only starting to play with them, but these are my observations so far. Accuweather has nice icons that I like but keeps force closing on me. Hope that will be fixed soon. Genie news and weather is good too, you can choose to display just weather.
Beautiful Widgets is my choice. Fully customizable with downloadable skins for Clock, Weather, Battery widget, and Toggle Widgets.
Press the weather area and it will launch your choice of Weather App *I use WeatherBug Paid (I try to support if its a mainstay)* the Radar can be slow though but it works..
Press the Time spot and will launch you choice of Clock or Alarm. *I use Gentle Alarm*
Press the Date area and will launch your choice of Calendar. *I use Jorte*
All of that is customizable. For instance if you wanted to you could config it to launch Angry Birds on press of any of above or any other app or shortcut of your choosing.
I love the Animated Weather effects. though last week during Snowpocylpse here is Chicago area I thought the drifting was a bit overkill... LOL

- animated weather icons at clocks;
- select static background wallpaper;
- use animated effects at background like neutron links;
- colors and transparency at elements;
- show forecasts with animated effect show and hide (by clickind on current weather icon);
- show external data: battery level, cpu temp, next alarm;
- show humidity, wind, current, minimum and maximum weather temp;
- translated at many languages.

I have a wildfire , and there's no flip clock in the official rom in it , so i searched xda and found a zip file that can be flashed to make the clock flip , it didn't work neither in the official froyo or the cyanogen mode , it was as a widget ..
your idea to make the clock as a wallpaper is great
i think that the official flip clock of htc has a better skin , so i suggest you to mix that style with your beautiful idea ?

You beat me to it. I was going to develop the exact same app, but I had not gotten a chance to look into it.
One suggestion is to open the clock app when you touch the clock and the weather app when you touch the whether (Like the HTC widget). I don't even know if it is possible to open an app through live wallpaper (again, I haven't gotten a chance to look into it), but it would be great if you could.
