I was replacing my Huawei Mate 9 screen assembly the other day. When finished and tried to reassemble everything back, I accidentally shorted the battery connector on motherboard, which there were some sparks.
Then the phone does not turn on anymore. Every time I tried to turn on the phone, it only came up with red flashing notification LED and the screen shows a Red Lightning Bolt in a Circle. After that, the screen went off.
Tried replacing the battery, the USB Charging Board, still the same result.
Has anyone experienced this before and fixed it?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Had a perfectly fine HTC 8x till this morning. Then the pet at home chewed on the USB cable while the phone was charging .. I suspect the power cables may have shorted with the data cables. In any case, now the phone is totally dead when the charger is disconnected. If I reconnect the charger (new cable) then the phone vibrates, afer that the screen lights up for about 10 seconds with the HTC logo and then it switches off - it keeps doing this till the time I remove the charging cable. The Red charging LED does not come on at any time. I have tried the hard reset with Vol down and power key etc. and that did not work. Any help to revive the phone would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks & regards

I bought one listed for parts on ebay a while back that would do a constant boot loop. what i did was buy a cheap phone tool kit 2$ off ebay as well. removed the rear shell on the phone. dang phone is held with sticky adhesive. its take a minute to separate the housing and screen. if you have watched those videos on youtube where there using a blow drier to heat the plastic to take the phone apart is completely nuts. It only takes patients and dont force it . then disconnected the battery. 2 whole screws. woo hoo.. i couldn't do the hard reset either because the phone woudnt charge in off-mode. just constant boot loop. i had no choice to battery pull. strange thing was the charging light would always stay on even when it was unplugged. once the battery had been disconnected from the pcb it hasn't had any problems.
T-MOBUS HTC 8x Developer Unlocked, Sim Unlocked, and Running Windows 8.1
[SOLVED] Disconnect the battery from the phone for few seconds
Problems faced:
1. Boot Loop
2. Factory Reset using Phone buttons never worked, tried everything and never ever got the " ! " icon
3. Phone keeps restarting showing the HTC logo without "quietly brilliant" ( if you don't see that probably not going to boot the OS)
4. Phone does not work at all unless connected to phone charger
SOLUTION:
After trying almost every possible thing i got this to make it work.
1. Open the back cover ( you will need a hair dryer, check YouTube)
2. Unscrew just the two screws at the bottom of your phone and disconnect the clip-pin thingy (this connects the battery to the phone) for a few seconds. ( it has a metallic cover kinda thing)
Press the power button and your phone will go back to normal.
Make sure you connect anything that gets disconnected in the process... they are quite strong so dont worry, nothing will break or cut off, but do be careful.
hi there ok i found a solution you need to take the cover off and the plug in the charger because a button is stuck
there is only 2 screws you need to unscrew and boob it works
My Case

MY CASE... I've posted a thread explaining that...
This procedure works.. but in my case not at 100% fine... cause i can't insert back the sim card since the bootloops return if i do it...
That left us with a software issue i've not been able to solve yet...
Best regards...
On my replacement tab running latest 3.1.1 my battery light blinks green orange after charging overnight. Once I open the smart cover, it shows charged and then the light changes green. No other problems I can tell and the battery temp seems OK in gsam. I am using an Anker charger that I used previously with the old tab. I am going to disable xposed and charge with the stock charger to see if it does the same thing.
Anyone else experience this? Thanks.
I have seen this when charging the tablet in the OFF state. It seems to blink when it's done charging. Went away when I booted it.
I also have a similar problem. The led light of my replacement tablet:
1. blinks all the time (orange green) when tablet is fully charged. This happens when the replacement tablet during charging is switched off.
2. is aproximatly 30 second green then starts blinking (orange green) and then is orange and after a while is again green then again starts blinking and this happens over and over again. This happens when the replacement tablet during chargning is powered on.
There is never solid green charging led light even if I have tried to use diferent chargers
I hope this is not a serious problem which could damage the battery of the replacement tablet. I have never seen something like that during charging of different android devices.

I had the same problem. Then it quit charging completely. I did some searching online and found a solution. Turns out the green wire from the battery had come loose. Soldered the green wire back in to place and it works. No more blinking and it's charging.
If you are going to do this, please be careful when removing the black tape strip. You may accidentally pull some of the other wires soldered to the board.
Hope this helps.
I dropped my phone in the toilet by accident, I quickly removed it from the water and tried to dry as much as I could.
The only sign of life my phone shows is the blinking led every 3 seconds when i plug it into the wall charger, the PC does not recognize the device.
As you can imagine my phone has been "dead" since that day. Yesterday i tried to bring it back to live following a youtube tutorial.
This is what i did:
- Removed the back cover.
- Disconnected the battery form the main board.
- Plugged the wall charger.
At this point the screen turned on! D) showing the charging screen without any percentage just the normal "thunder" icon.
- Plugged the battery to the main board.
At this point the phone went back to its "normal" status, just showing the led blinking.
I dont know what else to do since Im not a too technical person, im wondering if any of have had the same issue or if changing the battery the phone will be working again. Since the phone is showing this screen im certain its not completely fried.
Thanks for any advise.
Hey guys,
a few days ago I accidentally dropped an HTC One E8 in water and obviously it doesn't work anymore. Before buying a new one I wanted to ask, if some of our "HTC experts" may have suggestions on what else I could try before giving up.
The situation: I dropped it in water, didn't turn it off (dumb, I know) and it worked for around 10 minutes until it powered off. I left it in rice for a day and it didn't turn on or charge. At this point I nearly gave up.
I left it for in rice (about 48 hours) and - the orange led was flashing while charging. Even the screen turned on and it showed a charging symbol first and after a few seconds it showed a red circle and a white exclamation mark. After some time I could power it on and the touchscreen worked and I could use it, but it still was around 1%/0%. The screen flickered, but it was usable. I wanted to plug it in my computer then to rescue some data, but 5 seconds after I took it off power (to switch from the wall charger to my PC) it died.
Now I tried it to power it on for like 2 days, but with no charger connected nothing happens and when I connect the charger, the orange led is on constantly. I tried power/volume- and power/volume+, but nothing happens. Not even the charging indicator comes up, the screen is completely dead.
Are there any steps to try before giving up? By the way I don't want to disassemble it
Thanks in advance
Hello,
I need some help from you, if you please.
I tried to replace a broken screen of a Huawei Mate 10 Lite, I replaced using a new one with frame.
But, with all connected and assembled, when I put the back cover the phone immediatly turns off, and even using the usb charge the screen doesn't turn on, but instead appears a red led notification light blinking.
I take off the back cover, disamble and assemble the battery flat, and the phone turns on, if I put the cover again, turns off.
Can please someone help me on that?
Thank you in advance.
