[FONT] Roboto font on Galaxy Note

Installed Roboto Font on the galaxy note and it looks very nice
I have taken this from the guide prepared by user Mustang302LX on Rootzwiki forum, so i take no credits for it and thank the user for putting it together from internet
The below method worked flawlessly but i don't take responsibility for any unwanted damages
Pre-requisite: root using any of the methods specified in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1329360
*root explorer may not be needed compulsorily and can be managed with any file explorer / by mounting sd card in computer

To install:
Download file on your phone. Once complete open Root Explorer and navigate to /sdcard/downloads and long press on the zip you just downloaded. Choose to extract all to /sdcard/extracted
If you don't already have the app download Font Changer from the market (free). Once downloaded navigate in Root Explorer to /sdcard/extracted and copy both Roboto font files. Paste them in /sdcard/.fontchanger. Now open up font changer and apply Roboto font!

Using "Cuprum". Most of the fonts in the screenshots can be found at www.google.com/webfonts

Installed the font. I really like Roboto Font. Everything seems fine except the homescreens do not scroll smoothly now.
Anyone else having the same issue ?

Touchwiz or some other launcher? If it's the latter it's a known issue... only touchwiz is scrolls smooth atm.

hmm.. I actually prefer the Helevetica S that's supplied with the Note.

Thanks for the information
I've found that theres not too much difference with these two fonts on this high res display. It made a world of difference on the Samsung Galaxy Tab but really not too noticeable on the Note ....

no worries. I found turning off the "screen bounce" aka Elasticity in Launcher Pro seems to reduce the scrolllng lag between home screens. Had to turn off app drawer animation though.

Helvetica neue is better
I prefer the Helvetica Neue Flipfont.

Roboto font without root
I was able to use roboto font perfectly on my GNote without root , using the flip fonts from this thread , very easily done.

All lollipop launcher have theme support built in I tried with S4, S5 and Note 4 launcher and all have Theme support. In next days I'll make a guide.

I got theme chooser to show up as a selectable option with some smali editing but can not figure out how to install the themes or where they go tried to give permissions to them in priv-app folder but no go so Im looking forward to @Albe95 to throw out this awesome guide he speaks of.:good:

I'm on a chinese ROM For my S4 (not enabled by default) but tested with S4, Note 4 and s5 launcher (european apk) and all work so I guess work even on note 3 and s5 official rom

Now you are referring to the lollipop roms floating out there correct right now im on dompop and can get it enabled but not sure how to get the actual themes installed? Sorry if I am confussed here.:silly:

G3 and Lollipop are the only two that pop up in themes Note4pro and chinese classic do not show and the only thing the two themes do is change the home screen wallpaper followed your opp to the team set permissions correctly but they do not look like the screen shots that were in the link with the how to only background change

Enable "voice" not sure what you are talking about in your guide it says to add "themev2" in the floating feature, what line should I be looking for for the"voice"

hi.. it happened to me before when I tried to activate themes in note 3 launcher. Everything working unless when changing theme just the wallpapers will change but icons and others remain the same. Anyone else facing this?

Note 5 Marshmallow Launcher

Here Is The N5 5.1.1 Launcher themed like 6.0 MM.
I haven't this device.so not tested.do a backup before u using it.
Try It On Motion LL Rom
Features:-
- Added new 6.0.1 Clock image
- Replaced wallpaper button with 6.0.1 one
- Replaced page indicator with new rounded from 6.0.1
- Replace entire folders colors with 6.0.1 color scheme (Grey, Light blue, Green, Orange and Yellow)
- Fixed in Settings black text on black BG thanks to Martillero
1. Download and extract
2. Put apk in system/priv-app/TouchWizHome_ZERO (or ZERO-MR1) and set rw-r-r permissions for the apk.

I just creatr a TouchWizHome_ZERO folder contains apk and lib folder. set all permission. then reboot

I dont love 320 dpi.so change dpi to 270...?

[TWRP] SamsungSans V1.6.6- Flashable fonts for S7/S7E

Hi all! I have been using the SamsungSans apk for very long and have edited it as to my liking.
I removed a lot of fonts I wasn't using and added some I like. So now I want to share the zip file I am using.
Any additional font request can be granted as long as you can provide and apk similar to the apks from Samsung fonts.
CREDITS TO: @Winb33 for this great mod!
Tested and working perfectly on SuperMan and BatMan Roms!
Requirements:
- Must be rooted
- TW based ROM (Tested on Superman-Rom)

it is possible, but i havn't dug too deep into it, but it has to deal with the sec folder settings within the apk

I think we are using the same method, a flashable zip, since SamsungSans.apk is a system file, to make it work properly, flashing thru TWRP or manual push thru root browser or adb method would be the way. I removed font more so and added some that I like on my version.

I can't say it's impossible, but since it's size is so big and that it need to be in system, is the reason it won't be in an installable apk, but if someone can make it into one, then that'll be great!

To be clear ! No this cant be possible to make an apk installable as a standard apk. Apk i use previously need to be place in system, standard apk are installed in data. Flipfont system cannot be bypassed for this. Also it need a mod like signature bypass in framework and other restriction i do not remember... I've it somewhere but it an old old project and i dont have time actually to work on it. Cheers ! (I'll look if it change since i've made original mod but i dont think it can be done) ...

Not a problem, to keep your original fonts. follow below procedure -
- Apply this theme
- then in themes app click on "Me" tab
- click on "customize"
- there you will see font style, click on font style and apply. you will get old fonts i mean original one

When I click on customize, I can only edit the screen lock, the wallpapers and the icons... No sign of the fonts...

i have already wrote that's it's a Share lol. and i had ni intention to claim it as my own creation , also did not knew you or didn't notice the name of creator otherwise i would have already given credit to you lol
