Files are not copying from pc via usb

The device gets detected easily in mtp mode on original usb cable. I can open files and copy to pc (windows 7x64) but I cannot for sake of nothing, copy any files to my note 2. Only found ftp filezilla method working, but I want to do normal cable mass storage file transferring like I did on my desire z.
I just have to get sd card?
btw. Is using filezilla dangerous? I can see all the files which are on my phone (only entering sd memory tho - internal 16gb)
No help?

[SOLVED]Slightly urgent - Multiple OTG devices on Lollipop

Hi all,
I have a sd card that i want to copy its contents to an external hard drive. I have the following
OTG cable
USB Mains powered hub - This one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plugable-Te...8&qid=1419902366&sr=1-6&keywords=usb+main+hub
1 tb external hard drive(NTFS)
Micro SD card (Fat32)
Micro sd card adaptor
I have connected the external hard drive and the micro sd card adaptor to the usb hub, then connected the usb hub to the OTG cable which is then connected to my phone, however Stickmount is not recognising the external hard drive, nor is Nexus Media Importer. Does anyone know if this is a limitation wihtin Lollipop (5.01) as it use to work in KitKat.
Should i just go back to KK?
I am rooted and on 5.01
if someone has any ideas please post, as i need to get this sorted wihtin the next few days
Thanks

To add to this, your portable hard drive is likely formatted in NTFS. Look at the OP in the thread beekay201 posted for instructions on how to handle this.
Thanks for the link..... I placed the files needed into the sdcard root, but it still does not recognise the 2 drives together
You need to provide more detail, like, help us to help you.
This external HDD you got, have you tried to hook it up, without using the USB hub? The external HDD itself, it's self powered, or draws power from the phone (or the hub)?
Paste a logcat to hastebin.com when you connect the HDD or the sdcard to the phone through OTG cable for us to see.
What StickMount version (I mean, literally the version number, not if pro or free) are you using?

1Tb Samsung Drive - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Sli...qid=1419981942&sr=8-1&keywords=1tb+samsung+m3
The drive is self powered
I can connect the drive using the OTG cable, but using ES explorer, when I try to connect to the folder, it says "failed to open files"
Logcats
1. 1tb Hard disk connected - Files were viewable in Astro Manager, but not ES File Explorer - http://pastebin.com/jG00mnLr
2. SD card connected via sd card reader - Files were viewable in Astro Manager, but not ES File Explorer - http://pastebin.com/CSGaCUQv
3. SD card and 1tb HD connected via usb hub - SD card connected but not the HD - Files were viewable in Astro Manager, but not ES File Explorer - http://pastebin.com/UB21JFRG
Stickmount version is 3.26
Hopefully that should be enough

right.. if you had searched about this, you'd have found lots of people having issues with L+Es file explorer. use another file explorer, and be done with it.
also, there's nothing wrong with stickmount or the logs. if it works with another FM, i'd just stick with that.
if you want to keep trying ES, be advised that you might need to try the "PIE PATCH" - fixes issues with root access/ES. I'm feelin generous (and bored) so here you go: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/development/fix-bypassing-pie-security-check-t2797731
Right,i've got it working using the mains power plug on the USB hub. also ES File explorer is also working if i go via the folder structure rather than the left hand side menu.

[Q] install apk from a desktop PC onto an android mini stick ?

install apk from a desktop PC
onto an android mini stick ?
how ?
I already have done this
from my PC,
to a tablet
via the usb cable.
Will it be the same ?
what do you mean mini stick(do you mean SD Card)?
just take the apk you want with usb cable like you said, and put it on your sd card or internal storage on phone.
Download and apk installer through the play store, open the app and you will see the loaded apk or you might have to type in the directory, then click on it and click install.
sorry ahead of time if i didn't understand what you meant.

Corrupted SD Card Need Help

Okay so I have an OTG adapter.
I try one USB Flash Drive which works fine currently, but my other, the one I had just spent all night uploading files too, comes up as corrupted when I plug it in.
It still works just fine in my computer, no errors found, so I don't know what's wrong.
Does anyone know how I can fix this? Without reformatting.
Misleading title - you say corrupted SD card but are talking about using an OTG adapter.
In any case if you're talking about a USB flash drive or a card you're reading via an adapter: If it were me and as you have stated - it works fine on the computer - then I'd copy all the files off to my hard drive using a computer, format the flash drive/card in exFAT format on the computer and then copy the files back onto it using the computer . . and then test it on the device via USB OTG. You could just copy a folder or two onto the reformatted flash drive first just to test to see if things are going to work as expected before going through all of the effort of copying everything.

Error copying files from PC to S10e using USB cable

I have a weird issue when trying to copy multiple files from pc to phone, using an USB cable. In about 95% of cases, the copy process gets stuck at a random file... ("Copying..." and the file name is displayed meanwhile). After some time I get an error message "Cannot copy file <file name> . The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected. Stop copying? / Skip this file / Cancel" . The file is always a different one.
The more files I try to copy, bigger the chances to fail. If I choose Skip, the copy continues but chances are it will get stuck at another file and so on.
Files are pictures, movies mp3s, it doesnt't seem to matter.
For the moment, the workaround is to repeat the copy process until the number of files in destination matches the source...
I can copy just fine anything (lots and lots of GB) from phone to PC, using the same USB cable, without adjusting it, before and after the failed copy from pc to phone.
Phone is Samsung S10e up to date
PC is a Windows 7 x64, all 4 USB ports behave the same.
USB cable looks fine as far as I can tell
I wonder if someone experienced something similar or has some idea on what to check.
For the next week I am limited to the hardware mentioned above.
What prog you use to copy?
Update:
Changed cable, no difference
Tried on another win7, same behaviour (error copying to phone, on random files)
Tried on win 10, copy from phone fine, copy to phone does not show error, yet randomly some files are not copied to phone (?!).
I used windows explorer to copy.

Make sure you get a high quality cable. Post a link to where you purchased your cables to warn others ^^
Both of them are original Samsung cables.

wow.
Having experienced similar troubles copying from PC (Win10 x64) to previous phones (S4mini) via USB cable, I now avoid this method. Instead, I copy files from PC to 64gig microSDcard in a USB thumb drive adaptor. Then I put the card into S10e and sometimes copy from card to internal storage. It's actually faster this way than from PC directly to S10e internal storage, especially when I want the files on both of my S10e's. This phone is really fast moving files from its external to internal storage.
