Is there a root method for the S8+ build AQK3 - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

I'm not seeing a root method for my specific build, I see other's listed. Is it possible to root my phone with the method that has been released? Thank you and sorry for the ignorance.

How can I root the gs7 verizon baseband g920vvru4api3?

I tried a few outdated methods not for this version and it just bricks the phone or doesn't work. Is there a working root method for this version? Can I flash to a previous version, root and upgrade? I'm new to the forum but somewhat experienced with rooting/flashing. Thanks for any help you can give.

This should work for you since you're running MM (6.0.1) - https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s7/how-to/root-files-t-mobile-s7-t3488067
If you upgrade to Nougat though, this won't work.
EDIT: Btw, don't try putting TWRP on unless you are able to unlock your bootloader. I'm pretty sure it will flag your KNOX bit too or you might run into a situation that I'm in with DRK errors/IMEI being gone (due to issue with EFS partition). Basically my phone can't be used as a phone anymore.

you can root with a pre rooted rom on nougat, but its not full root so theres no point, so if you really want to root you have to downgrade to 5.1.1 OK7 and root on there. however if u want supersu u have to use a computer to restart. if u use kingroot you can reboot but you gonna have the ads of kingroot, and after 1 week of being rooted on 5.1.1 it becomes slow and buggy, id reccommend just stay on nougat and dont root, btw you cant really do anything with root on nougat.

Question Rooting the CE2 Lite

Hello i just wanted to see if anyone would try the root method for the N20 5G on the CE2 lite since its nearly identical. and maybe some of you can find more relevant info in that thread. just keep in mind that the stock firmware is not cross compatible so our method requires gaining temp root and pulling your own boot images to root from. we have yet to get a full OTA package so rooting this way should be safe and device-specific no matter whic security patch your on....
