Did dedicate camera for samsung smart tv will work on android box? - Android Stick & Console Computers General

Hello, I have a samsung smart tv and dedicated camera for that: SAMSUNG CY-STC1100. The skype application used to run on the TV, but it has lost support.
I plan to buy the H96 Pro tv dongle (android) and my question is if the camera connected to it will handle that?
After smart tv stopped supporting skype I found older version of skype(for various TV series) with drivers(inter alia to camera) which was installed from a pendrive and this worked wonderfully, but now it doesn't work. If you don't know the solution, could you recommend a camera that works on the android box?

Any support for Hisense TV's yet?

I am looking for support for to start support for Hisense TV's
Mine Specifics are; Android 4.2.2,Original Rom Updated.
Hisense TV model; 55K680GW
TV User Manual;
http://hisense-canada.com/support/manuals/55K600GW_can_M_en_man.pdf
The TV is suppose to be a "SmartTV" everything that seems to make it a smart TV does not work. Can't pair to YouTube, can't stream my tablet or phone "mirroring" or "stream". YouTube app does not work, only play's a second of any video and then stops, will not do anything else. Virtually no software in Google apps. Bluetooth wont pair. WiFi Direct doesnt work. Can really do anything that a non-smarttv can do. Networking resources seem to work however, it will most media files from my computers on the network, but otherwise not all are supported. For a Android "SmartTV" it seems to be really lacking in the "smartness".
Is there any support, or planned to be any support for this TV?

Is it possible to turn my old Android into a TV box?

Hello, first of all.
It's been a long time since I have visited this place, so excuse me please if I missed a similar thread. I have searched for it.
My question is if it this possible to turn my old Motorola XT 720 into an Android TV box (i.e. Chromecast or similar).
I have tried CheapCast app that only crashed when opening YouTube. This phone has a HDMI port and I assumed it can connect through it to my Philips TV, which is not a smart TV, but a regular HD TV.
The only connection I was able to create was the built-in version of media gallery from phone which has the option to display the pictures from phone on TV screen (proving there is a working connection at least).

This should be possible as the device has the ability to use another display. I would recommend using something like Tablet Remote or other similar apps on the Play store so instead of using the device as a chrome cast you can use it as a full media center device connected to your TV. By using one of these apps you would play videos directly through your device instead of "casting" them. This should hopefully work arround the issue of apps like CheapCast crashing.
Hope I could help and good luck
Thank you, Tablet Remote works good between the 2 Android phones. Still working on it.
I am also working on this route, trying to make use of my screen-broken Xperia Z. However apart from using as mediacenter with kodi, it would be nice if I could properly emulate chromecast. I would love to see a nexus android TV Rom being able to drive my phone, is anybody working on that?

Skype on TV using android box

Hi,
I am looking to get Skype on my TV. There are a couple of options - tv specific skype cameras, universal skype cameras that can be hooked to any led tv- but these are too expensive. Another option being android tv box that can support skype. Android TV box seem to be the cheaper option as well as they can actually add on a lot of features. But all I could find on amazon is some unknown chinese companies selling android tv box that can support skype. Is there any good brand that I go with, even if it means buying a web cam separately? Any suggestions pls!
Thanks!

I think, you should first find all the devices that fits to you (hardware, functions, shape, color)
When you get devices' short list you can check and ask for their real functions and issues(find some videos on youtube as well)
After these steps, it seems to me, a few devices left.
I use skype on my UGOOS UT3s without any issues and troubles. Talking to skype wasn't my main task when I bought it, but then I got my PC webcam and start using big screen. Webcamera should be UVC supported.
