Hello everyone, and thanks for taking the time to attempt to help me.
Earlier today, my T-Mobile Galaxy S5 updated to 5.1.1. I searched google and came across a few links on how to root my phone (G900T) - The one I ended up using was CF-AutoRoot
I used Odin 3.07, used the tar5 file from that site above where I downloaded the root, and attempted to root the phone. Odin says everything worked as planned ''passed'' was displayed with 0 fails. I waited about 20 minutes, but my phone never rebooted, it was stuck in a boot logo loop ' 'Samsung Galaxy S5 powered by Android'' or ''T-Mobile'' was displayed.
I tried going into recovery and reseting all data / factory wipe but that didn't help, and made it even worse. Now my phone says this when I try to turn it on: ''Firmware upgrade encountered an issue, Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again''
How do I go about getting back to stock firmware , that is rootable, so I can then proceed to install CyanogenMod?
EDIT: I used Kies and was able to get back to stock firmware and the phone turns on.
Can anyone recommend a reliable root for the G900T S5?

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
It's good to hear that you managed to revive your phone. Many of us find it convenient to install a custom recovery such as TWRP which makes backing up and restoring, switching ROMs, and many such activities much easier. XDA happens to have an active and friendly area dedicated to the Samsung Galaxy S5, and specifically to the T-Mobile version at http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s5. I suggest you search that area or simply post your question in the Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s5/help where our experts will be most likely to be able to guide you.
Hi guys, im new in this forum.
I have a problem with my galaxy s6 flat SM-G920F. It reboot by it self on the fist samsung logo.
I already tried with the Smart Switch Emergency recovery and with Odin as well flashing an official firmware downloaded from Sammobile.
None of these solutions worked for me, there is any way to save my phone?
Hi,
This is my first thread.
I am from Guatemala Central America. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (G925A) the phone is GSM unlock, no root, the phone is stock, the thing is that one day the phone suddenly went off and after that the phone never turned on again, when i turn on the device reboots in the Galaxy s6 edge screen, i am able to get in to the download mode and i have successfully flashed the device a few times with the original firmware using ODIN with out any different results, i am not able to get in to the hard reset menu, i can only get in to the download mode, what can I do? Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers from Central America.

Samsung Galaxy S6 UK, Locked To Vodafone
SM-G920F Android 6.0.1 (I maybe incorrect)
Basically I tried to root my phone and It seems I bodged it.
I used a guide called 'Root Galaxy S6 G920I and S6 Edge G925I on Marshmallow and Install TWRP' on Droidviews. (I cant post links due to me being a new member)
After completing all the steps my phone was stuck in an endless loading screen loop.
I then used the backup I created via the guide.
After that was completed I restarted my phone and got a message in red text in the top left hand corner of the screen saying 'recovery is not seandroid enhancing'.
I then started to panic as this is a new phone so I did a factory reset on the device.
This changed nothing.
Please help me as at this time my phone is bricked.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(I know about a potential method via Odin but I dont want to do anything without specific help in case I don any more damage)
Anyone?
Two weeks ago, my phone screen was broken. I tried to get my data from the phone with dr fone and some other similar software. however the software on the computer stuck in not responding and the recovery ends badly, while the phone still in recovery mode.
after that I sent my phone to repair and replace its screen but after that, the screen shows recovering... and android robot on the screen
using fonelab I got it out of this situation but stuck in bootloop.
however I tried to install a new firmware by odin 3.12.3 of SM-G920I as it was written on my phone back that it is G920I.
but the installation failed and showed sboot.bin error.
I have checked again the model number in the recovery mode and it shows this number G920FXXU4DPH5 which means my phone is in G920F firmware now!
but the thing that I never understand that I bought my phone from Saudi Arabia from normal shop with no carriers or boundaries and this number means that it have firmware compatible with Vodafone in South Africa!
I think this mistake happened during while I was trying to recover my data :crying:
Now I don't know what to do! which version should I install!
help me please! thank you very much....
