Gear s3 not receiving incoming call - Samsung Gear S3

I have a problem. My gear s3 stopped receiving phonecalls. Everything else works normally. Does anyone have the same issue??

I have similar issue. I can make calls using Gear. But incoming calls are not forwarded to the watch. What phone are you using? I am on Nexus 6P, running Oreo.
Anybody using a Nexus 6P with Gear? What ROM are you on?

Randomly missing calls and texts. Help please

So the title pretty much sums it up. I have a rooted sprint nexus 5 running stock 5.0.1. And I'm a still randomly missing calls and texts. Phone doesn't ring. Missed texts and missed call notifications don't appear until rebooting the phone.
I know this was a problem with 4.4 on the nexus 5 but I thought 5.0 was supposed to fix this. Am I do in something wrong? Help would be much appreciated.

I'm having the same problem
I have had a Nexus 5 for the last year. It was a great phone but did miss some calls, but had good reception. I recently broke that phone and purchased a newer one. The reception is awful. I had to buy a microcell booster just to work it in my home where I didn't have to before. If the phone has one bar you can't receive or send calls. If it has two bars it's a crap shoot. Often times when I call there will be two bars and as soon as I press send to call someone the phone drops to no bars. Is this a software or phone or hardware problem?
My issue seems to be receiving texts and calls while on wifi. If so, I will get texts really late, or out of order. With phone calls i just may note receive them at all, nor get a missed call or voicemail notification. I've heard some peopl say that the issue an LTE one and switching to 3G helps the problem but I've found that recently that is not the case. If I am on wifi my sprint nexus 5 just cant seem to get it right...
For Sprint, there could be issues with the signaling for voice/sms when on LTE since the N5 is a single radio for everything. Another thing it could be is the modem version. Also if you got a replacement it's possible the connections are just loose inside or one of them is disconnected for the antenna.
I'm on sprint too and I get the notorious double texts has to be something on sprints end

Sorry to necropost, but i'm reviving this to see if anyone else is still having the same problem??? Has this been fixed on Android 5.1 or 5.1.1 ? There has to be a better solution than having to be on 3G and keeping wifi on only when phone is awake. Help or advanced knowledge of the problem would be appreciated.
Its Sprint, it sucks

Auto direct calls with s2

Is there any way, while connected to the s2 to direct calls based on which device answers the phone? For example, if I answer the call through my phone the call will play through my phone or play call through watch when answered with the watch.

Answering call not seeing on Gear S2 screen

HI all
I am using my gear S2 with Moto X pure edition. Everything works except that when some one calls, I can see a reject option on gear S2 but cannot see a accept call. I tried with a Samsung phone and it works. Anyone having any workaround for this.

Disable auto answer on watch?

Does anyone know how to disable the auto answering of the watch. I don't want to have to switch every call to my phone from the Bluetooth menu when I receive a call. I can't find a toggle in settings on the gear app or on the watch itself.

I don't have it yet, but it might be in the bluetooth settings on your phone

What do you mean?
if you answer a call with the phone, it will use the phone for speaking with. if you answer with the watch, it will use the watch to speak with.
if you don't want to talk on the watch, don't answer with it.

Nope that isn't how it works. I answer on the phone and the call audio is on the watch. That's the problem I'm trying to solve. Then I have to manually switch it to handset.

I have call audio enabled in bluetooth settings.
And yes, that is how it works. I just tested it. I answer with my phone, I can speak on the phone. Audio doesn't go via the watch if you don't answer with the watch.

Did you ever consider that it might work differently on different phones? That isn't how it worked by default on my pixel and T-Mobile s3.

It shouldn't be any different.
It's a Pixel. Very basic device. Bluetooth works like it's 1999.
I have a different weird problem. I just got the S3 (T-Mo) came from the S2 (T-Mo). I have used the Note5, Note7 and S7 Edge all T-Mo with the S2. I got rid of my personal phone (T-Mo) and started using my work phone (S7 Edge Verizon) when I still had the Gear S2. My calls would sporadically auto answer or not be received at all; going straight to Voicemail. This phenomena never occurred when I had the T-Mo phones, so I am wondering if it has something to do with how the Verizon phones interact with T-Mo phones. This is now happening with my (T-Mo) Gear S3 connected to my Verizon S7 Edge. Is anyone having the same problem? Or anyone NOT having this problem but using a Verizon Galaxy phone with a T-Mo Gear S watch? I'm curious if I just need to tweak a setting I am not familiar with on the Verizon S7 Edge (some menus are different than the T-Mo phone) and the way they forward calls is different, as well and I don't completely understand how it works compared to the T-Mo phones.
I am having the exact same problem and my gear is identical to yours including TMO. I will try disabling the phone audio in BT but this should not be happening at all.
I have to disable this daily, horrible. Every time I leave my car it automatically switches bt phone audio back to the watch. What a bummer!
Same problem here. Nexus 5X and Gear S3. Even if I dial out from the phone, the call gets redirected to my watch. Same if I receive a call. Even if I answer on phone, audio gets sent to the watch.
Any solution?
I'm having the same issue. It does not matter if I answer on phone or watch, the audio is always on the watch. How do I make it smart to tell the difference? I'm using a Pixel. Thanks
Might take a look at this:

I had the same problem. I disabled the phone audio profile and it worked. However the second time this happened and I disabled the phone audio profile it turned the blue tooth off and I would not get messages or call notifications on my watch. I turned on the phone audio profile and now I get the phone notifications but also get the answering on my watch (even though I answered on the phone). I have tried disconnecting the watch, rebooting the phone but nothing.
Solved with MacroDroid:
Trigger: Call active (any contact)
Action: Kill application Galaxy Wearable
Constraints: Trigger fired Call active
AND In call
App Alive BG Galaxy Wearable

7 pro and Galaxy Watch

I have the latest Galaxy watched and just connected it to the 7. I get app notifications on the watch but no calls or texts. I checked the settings and did all I can think of. Is this an incompatibility issue or is there something I'm not doing?
Thanks!
IIRC, the calls only come to the watch when you're away from your phone? That's how it was when I was using it on my Note 9. Haven't tested calls on my 7 Pro yet with my GS3 Frontier but texts came through.
Texts and calls come to mine no problem. Works pretty flawlessly.

I don't get anything as calls, call log, messages or inbox. Very weird because on my s10+ it was working fine.
I completely reset the watch. Didn't think of that at first. I just "connected to new phone" before this. I'll keep everyone posted.
Yeah when you change phones you have to reset the watch. I have the GS3 Frontier and this was I had to do. Mine works with getting notifications from textra, WhatsApp and calls no issues.

I just woke up and that's the first thing that came to mind. I don't have the OOS messages app on there. Thanks!
Do you have the Samsung Accessories plugin installed? And the Galaxy Watch plugin? You need both.
