Camera Advice - Sony Xperia XZ Premium Questions & Answers

Hi
I'm just after some advice regarding the quality of the photos that my xz premium is producing.
I'm not convinced that all is well with the camera as its producing images with a loss of detail and blurry areas. I've updated the software and applied the distortion fix but its still producing results that I would consider poor for a flagship phone.
I've got a couple of links to some images which on closer inspection show what I'm talking about. I notice it more on areas such as trees and on the mid left hand side of the photos.
Any help/advice would be so great. I'm not sure if I should send it back or if the camera is just rubbish. I just dont think that I'm getting results which are consistent with other photos taken on other xz premiums.
Cheers
Liam

BUG on AUTO SCN(15.3.A.1.12)?

Guys look at this, there are daylight photos like this that is overexpose. It is taken using AUTO SCN... I notice it sets its self to "INFANT" and when I look at properties it says "PROGRAM NAME: BABY"... All of my shots when "INFANT" mode is automatically selected becomes overexpose... Look at the EV Value... camera automatically raised it to +1.5 which will obviously overexpose the camera.... I tried reshooting this with different angles but out of 10 only 2 cameout acceptable. Camera really is good right now compare before except it tooks some overexpose photos on broad daylight when using auto SCN.... kinda not happens when using older firmware...

Camera focus issue - Oukitel

Hi,
I have Oukitel K6000 and K10000, bought primarily for work and travel.
Part of my work is to take photos of small spec. plates on different equipment.
The problem I can't solve by myself is the primary camera on both phones - it just can't focus on anything closer than half meter.
The front camera focuses nicely, but can't do much in dark places.
Attached is a sample taken with front (blury) and rear (focused) camera. Taken from the same distance in the same light conditions.
Any help is appreciated.

Dark smudge keeps appearing on my photos. Not sure if hardware or software problem.

I have a LG G4 (H185). Yesterday, I was taking photos and I noticed this annoying smudge on every photo I had taken. It is, of course, easier to see in brighter photos. I'm quite certain this is a hardware issue and I think I can see a very small scratch on the glass window in front of the back lens. I'm not sure if this could be causing the smudge, so I want to be 100% sure this is not a software issue before I go a buy something and start taking my phone apart. Could there by a bug or something similar causing this smudge? Or is it almost definitely a hardware issue, like a scratch?
Thanks

Metering in 'photo' mode is a mess - Just me?

I just picked up a P40 pro again and a few days in I am finding the camera pretty bad in auto mode. Sharpness seems good but metering is all over the place.
I have only been playing indoors with our cats as the unwilling subjects but they usually prove a good torture test for phone cameras (and one that Samsung phones crash and burn on) As I say so far in 'photo' mode it just seems to be over exposing pretty consistently. I think I can see what the meter is trying to do but I do not like it. Night mode is fine and pro mode is fine too.
See examples attached. Anybody else seeing this?

Question Camera issue

While iam taking photos there was no clarity on human faces. Images were blurring while we zoom it. Both front and back cameras are giving that type of images. I have checked all lighting conditions. When I take a photo of any object they are getting good images, but if we take any selfee or photo with back camra the pics were like 15000 ruppees mobile. Please give me any solution.

Have you tried tap-to-focus?
This seems to be focus issue or may be some protection glass/film over camera?
Like svetius suggested above, try tap to focus.
