I've flashed Rizal Lovins ambient display mod (here), but the only thing I get is this kind of behavior:
I'm on latest Nougat, rooted and installed superuser mod.

for first: yo don't need super mod and any patch for enable ambiant display.... only need moding your SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk (work on odex rom too!)
for true answer: a bug inside sony code, ambiant display not work perfect like pixel/nexus or oneplus mode.
and for your problem better report the problem to orginal moder.

I test orginal app for note 10.1 on i9505 and its work ok, but i must change dpi for see all buttons.
I have no idea why Sony developers decided not to enable lockscreen rotation on our beloved Z1, I mean it looks just stupid! when the phone is docked the screen remains in horizontal position, making it hard to read the clock, widgets or unlock if you use an unlock pattern. Luckily this is Android and WE CAN solve this things.

To install this Framework you need
-Android 4.3, 136 build number
-Root
-Recovery
-Deodex
-To be honest, I'm a n00b and I don't know if a Superuser mod is requiered to make this work
How to install
Like any other .zip via recovery. Wipe cache and Dalvik before rebooting
Download

It didn't work? Got any other problem? Here is a Framework repair .zip that will install the stock, deodexed and un-modified Framework (Remember to wipe caches)

After a a few minutes you will be rewared with a nice rotating lockscreen!
PS: This will NOT enable Home rotation, you still need an xposed module to enable stock sony launcher autorotation
Hey guys.
I have feel responsible to share this xposed module. Simply download it from the thread activate it then reboot. You will have a blurred expanded notification panel like in the screenshot. Working without an issue on my D802 running Cloudy G3. All creditcs goes to serajr.

Cant get it to work on my LS980. Im using a couple of Xposed modules. One of the gives me the G3 panel. Maybe thats interfering.. ill keep messing with it.

Which module are you using to get g3 notf. panel? If g3 tweaksbox its have an option for blurred notf. bar already

Yes, but your mod requires deodexed firmware, I managed to get that with xposed module.

Works on ODEX. Delete Settings.odex
I have stock (original ) rom. And i dont whana to root it.
I have managed to get vibration on answer and hang up working...
Search on google play for: Vibrate Call
And NO ROOT REQUIRED :victory:
i like my keyboards with a dedicated number row--google keyboard doenst have this
--THERE IS A WAY TO ENABLE THIS VERY EASY--
i tested this on my google keyboard running cm12 temasek-but it should work any other as well.
