[Q] Moto G 4.4.4 update breaks Play Services

I tried to install the GPE rom on my bootloader locked verizon moto g this caused the device to show invalid system image at startup, after many failed attempts I was able to restore by upgrading to android 4.4.4 through Motorola device manger.
Now when I open Google Play it says "no connection, retry"
When I launch hangouts it says "Couldn't sign in because we couldn't reach Google. Try again."
If I try to enable Google Now "Google now requires location services which are not available" (location is on high accuracy)
I think the problem could be due to the fact that I bought and used the moto g in the US but now I am in Russia.
I tried most of the usual fixes for Google play services, none work and tried factory restore (I can't do the ones that require root, no root for 4.4.4)
Does anyone know a possible solution including downgrading?

System update is always showing Waiting for wifi

I have Google Pixel 128GB locked bootloader and when i checked system update. It shows waiting for wifi even when I connected to strong wifi connection. But when I factory reset and check update, it can download and install update. Is there anyway to update without factory reset?

Yes. Just follow this guide (it's in a february ota thread but works for every release, I can confirm).
Always did this, zero problems.

Having trouble upgrading your phone?

I almost resorted to unlocking the bootloader of my Huawei Mate 9
So my friend and I swapped phone. I gave him my Huawei P9 and he gave me his Mate 9. The unit's stuck on EMUI 5 / Android 7. I know that later updates have been around for quite some time now. First, I tried searching for updates through the system updater-- didn't work. I flashed firmware through "dload method" which also failed miserably. Then I read that you can "force" an update thru TWRP. As a preparation, I downloaded HiSuite to backup some data on my PC. I sh*t you not, the app immediately detected an update. The app allowed me to update the phone (a series of updates though) to the latest version. So if you're facing the same predicament, try this out.
Download HiSuite for PC, install, connect your Huawei phone, and the application will then guide you on how to set things up. On successful connection, an option (HiSuite on PC) may detect an update for your phone. The app will download the update and install it on your phone. You may choose not to update too.
Tried same. Nadda. Still stuck on Android 7 and Emu 5

Galaxy S7 - Custom binary blocked FRP lock

Hello,
- my S7 had a originale ROM (Vodafone) and worked fine.
- to install a app for saving and moving game saves I have rooted it with Odin: CF-Auto-Root.tar.md5
- OEM Lock and USB Debuggung was active, all works fine until this point.
- phone reboots and error message, all data lost and need to make a fresh installation.
- After loosing everything I thought with adding new profile and everything it is back to the original mode and have not remembered to look at OEM Look.
- After a reboot it still get only the message "Custom binary blocked FRP lock".
- can´t start the phone, loop active.
- Odin: tried several images tried with VD2 and the free, Android 8 and 7. Nothing worked. Only error messages for boot.img, revovery.img and other files. Relating to the version of Odin I tried.
- SmartSwitch does now work - unknown ROM
- Factory Wipe done, has not helped
Have tried now a lot of time with Odin to bring it back to life, nothing helped. Have you more ideas? Don´t want to loose the S7

I'm assuming you are in the UK?
You must install the latest Vodafone firmware then unloock the phone with the original Google account you were using on the phone, (email and password)
Latest Firmware
Custom FW blocked means the firmware you are trying to flash is not the correct versiion or is not signed.
No, I am from Germany and would need the German ROM, which I had found on the page you postet too:
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s7/firmware/SM-G930F/VD2/download/G930FXXS7ETA8/315535/
Saw I must register there for downloading, normal slow download does not start. After registering the zero premium account, they want me to pay at least 5 Euro for 30 days. Is this what you mean? Then I pay and download it.
But could you please let me know where or how I can unlock it with the Gmail account? Have not found something in the Google tools.
Success, searched with the exact number an alternative download, slow over night and this ROM works. Phone is back, case solved.
Just for information for others: https://samfrew.com/de/download/Galaxy__S7__/qc5m/VD2/G930FXXS7ETA8/G930FVFG7ESK7/
Thanks a lot

Question OnePlus 9 cannot update from 2113_11_C.60

Hi all,
I have a weird issue - I have updated my OnePlus 9 EU last year over Oxygen Updater, but managed to install India-only update on EU phone and now in settings it shows 2113_11_C.60.
After scouring internet I found that C.60 was India only update.
Now, I haven't received a single auto update since May 2022.
I have tried downloading incrimental updates to C.62 both for 2113 and 2111, but neither local upgrade nor special oneplus app was not able to update.
Also tried full install of C.62, no success.
Even tried full upgrade to latest EU build LE2113_11_F.75 - same result..
The local upgrade through settings constantly shows "verification failed" no matter what file I choose.
OP's System Update app would fail after showing system updating for a minute, with 0% progress.
As I understand, I somehow managed to install Indian version of incrimental update on EU phone, but now I am stuck on it.
What are other reinstall options on OnePlus 9?
Can I somehow force install if I connect over PC?
Many thanks for the help!

Forgot to attach screenshots...
Index of /list/Unbrick_Tools
Find the one compatible for your device whatever stock would be and run the msm recovery tool. This will get you back where you need to be to be able to update to latest software.
Otherwise you can try editing the file payload_properties.txt inside the update zip and changing oplus_update_engine_verify_disable to 1. This way your phone should skip the verification process entirely. Keep in mind that this could still result into bricking your phone because of this unintended update path but since the alternative would be using MSM tool why not trying anyway.
