Hello Everyone,
Sorry noob here. I just want to ask for your help about my phone. I have a Pre Prod HTC u11. and HTC pushes the Oreo update last month to us tester. I downloaded and installed the update. unfortunately it damaged the phone. now the phone wont boot up.. when i press the power button it only vibrates but wont boot up. no HTC logo..only black screen. And if I connect it to a charger, the screen shows a blinking battery icon.
Anybody can help me troubleshoot this one please?. thanks in advance.

If you are an official tester, then contact HTC that it bricked your device.
I heared about several bricks for other testers as well.

If you're a beta tester for HTC, why would you ask us here?

I've already contacted them but until now they didn't reply. That's why I decided to seek help from experts here. But I will try to contact HTC again. Thanks

I would imagine they're super quick about getting back to you. Probably within hours. Your phone either doesn't have battery or it's bricked. You also mention you have a U11 from preproduction which means HTC would've sent out incremental updates to the Oreo stack code. How did the oreo update damage the phone exactly?
Even I just threw Oreo on my device and while there's no radio (including no wifi) it should be easy to fix with a nice restore from TWRP (my guess is firmware issue). That said I'm a bit skeptical of your claim...
Try to long press the power button and volume up and down for a min. See if you can get to the bootloader. If so then try to flash the latest RUU for your device.

My less than two month old HTC U11 rooted phone couldn't turn on after I rebooted the phone. I did a search and got this website. The first suggestion on the article resolved my issue. Good luck.

prob should post in the sensation section im sure you could get more help in those threads! maybe even read a lil and you may find the answer to your problem
It got problem because you have update OS by yourself it can be a software problem so go to the HTC service centre for your OS 4.0 Update they will update your OS in a correct way it also can be a battery problem. I got face with problem my phone's battery got damage and got affect in the software because I update my HTC Incredible S software by myself and got problem in battery and software just because it was not officially updated by HTC, sometimes it happens so you can go to the service centre and my advice is you dont try to do anything by yourself.
OK first off apologies for being such a noob idiot. I've converted from years of iPhones and thought it would be easy to root a HTC One X Plus. I've owned one for around 24hrs now and it's spent most of it's time being broken.
I've have searched high & low for an answer and checked all other posts for fix's but I still can't get this working. I am a complete newbie to Android so please spell things out.
I've basically got it in a state now where it boots but no wifi or carrier - bluetooth seems ok. wifi just says error when trying to enable.
I used Hassons tool for the phone, but unfortunately when it got to kernel options in the tutorial I got a bit lost. I flashed the kernel and since then I have no wifi etc. so I'm guessing I've used the wrong one.
I don't know which to use and to make things worse now I can't seem to find the correct RUU so I can revert back to factory settings.
Model HTC One X Plus - O2 UK
Can somebody please help? Thanks.
Well, congratulations, you have NOT bricked your phone. From what i can understand, you just flashed a kernel not supported on your phone. You can download any ROM for your phone and flash it. It will hopefully solve your issue

Well that's a relief, thanks. I think this must be the route of the problem obviously as I could only find 2 kernels that I thought were compatible.
Anybody know if there is a list of compatible kernels for a HTC One X Plus O2 UK???
Thanks again.
Hi guys.
I have a HTC One X and I received the update for Android 4.1.1. My phone is already rooted.
But every time I hit the update button, it restarts and goes to ClockworkMod Recovery.
I don't know what else to do.
Ps: my HBOOT version is 1.12.

Rooting and custom recoveries usually bork OTA updates, which you should never take when rooted.
Also, this is the One XL forum.

I recommend flashing a stock 6.01 rom. You cannot flash a stock rom or custom recovery without an unlocked bootloader.
