Hi everyone,
I have the s8+ international version (the exynos version). I got an OTA software update today but it doesn't look like something has changed ,still have the same android and Samsung experience version after the update (although during the update there was a screen says "updating android").
Anyone knows what was that update and what's new in it?
I'm adding the software info from my phone after the update (below).
Thanks

Not sure what else has changed but you'll find that in YouTube the 'crop to fit' option is no longer available.

Had the same issue and it really bothered me. This morning however, a text notification from the app appeared as the video started.
It seems you can now simply pinch your fingers (like zooming in photos) to use the "crop to fit" function. Works quite well.
No idea how to get it back but there is pinch to zoom for full screen.

Yep, but it is also in russian.
Sowwy for my bad english:
- Android updated to 7.1.1
- Latest security patch from Google
- Improved performance and stability
- Fixed some applications issues
Interesting. I'm quite sure this was meant for the Beta ZTE announced some time ago. Anyways, let us know how it runs.
Well, it works fine since update.
As i wrote - phone looks less responsive than B12 for me.
Battery lifetime looks same...
upd: now i feel that battery works some better.
Launcher looks same as before (4.2 MiFavor now).
Dual window mode supported now (bottom right button long press). Also notification settings button available now. AndroidPay included into settings menu and works even w/o installed application (idk if it was into B12). HiFi headphones button included into default music application near DolbyAtmos button. Also widget was changed.
As i know from 4pda forum one more man from RF got update too, but that's all. A lot of people still waiting for update there.
Some images (Idk how to correctly upload images here. Be carefull! This image hosting needs to be used with AdBlock only):
-------------
UPD: - Before this update DolbyAtmos used profile for current task (video, music, games...), now it uses only profile you selected.
- Screen auto-rotation become turned off after reboot.
I am getting the update now as well.
Downloading...

I got B2017GV1.2.0B09, so apparently the same build.
I can not confirm any performance issues though. The system runs perfectly fine.
(It feels a bit snappier to me actually, but I can't back that up with actual data.)
Security update is from June 1st.
Hi guys, did you download the ota file and then flashed it or did you receive a notification for update? Thanks

This file does not work in UK versions of the Axon 7 Mini as it has the wrong update signature. Just for information. Guess we really are being left out and ignored. Well...F#@k them, never buying from them again.

I think the UK version isn't a standard build. We have a MR version (Merchant Release). It's a company specific distro release and seems to be alien to the rest of all standard update releases. We seem to have been forgotten by ZTE, we didn't get the chance to purchase a full AXON 7 and we seem to get the dregs from the company. And, to top it all off, our customer services is akin to a dam ghost. Useless is a kind word.
1. I installed the beta 5 from the forums, the build number is GM57AA but the system shows that there is an update;
OxygenOS: OP7_O2_BETA_1 of 2035MB, is this normal?
2. Where is the pill shaped navbar?

Hi,
1. I think you installed the Developer Preview 5, but I suggest you updating to Open Beta 1 (more recent and should be more stable), which is the update that you mention.
2. It seems that some OEM removed the pill, I think I eared such thing in a recent xdatv video on youtube.

Sent from my OPPO CPH2025 using XDA Labs
This is my update, unlocked UK.
Cannot find Region? Just Language?
So cannot change Region now??!!
Any ideas? Tried reset but alas no luck.
I saw on several news sites that the Korean version had the final android 11 rolling out.
If anyone's got it would love it they shared a screen cast of what's different

Not much you can do with that. As per the gpl they have to release the kernel source. If you had root and recovery you could use it to build a custom kernel but since we don't it will be of no use. But Android 11 shouldn't be too much longer.
Just received Android 11 OTA update today for my LM-G900EM (Europe).
No issues so far, and good news: they finally fixed the VPN bug when switching to WiFi!
Received G900EM20b-EEA-XX update yesterday and lost mobile data connectivity. I thought maybe location (GPS) needs to be enabled for data to work in Android 11 but that's not the case.
BTW other changes: color of status icons and toggable icons changed, "emergency alerts" app was installed
EDIT: just needed to manually re-add APN entry for internet

Not much is different, emojis were changed in android 11 so that was quite noticeable and I used to use pixel launcher but now it doesn't work
So things I have noticed:
IoT integration in the Power menu to get the payment cards... doesnt work at all, not sure if its a geographic location lock or something (canada)
If I click open a notification from the lockscreen and unlock using fingerprint ... there is a janky finger print animation thing... which causes the fingerprint icon to keep displaying randomly on the screen :/
There seem to be 2 system emoji fonts installed... One LG and one is google cuz gboard shows the google version in messages app but otherwise the system shows the LG ones
Lockscreen for some reason only displays conversation notifications for me by default i have to swipe down which pulls down the notification tray to show all the "notification" section items
LG launcher STILL does not have auto sort by alphabetical order
Scrolling and general slugishness in the system that existed in android 10 is definitely gone
LG and their sad state of software ...
After update I feel like system is kinda unstable. I am constantly getting UI freezed. Except few changes in quick settings panel and chat bubbles, I do not see any changes and improvements.
I don't know if I'm imagining things but the fingerprint sensor seems to be a lot worse, the brightness has gone down and battery drains a lot faster, camera is a lot slower. I can't see anything that's been improved going to downgrade it back to the old version its unbearable.
Hi all, just received my Android 11 update on my Velvet LTE in Belgium.
Hello, is there a way to flash back from Android 11 to Android 10.
I have a LG Velvet 4G LM-G910EMW (Germany).
I would be very grateful for any links or tips.
Thank you very much.
Yeah, pretty sure you can downgrade to Android 10. You can use LGUP, just make sure you download android 10 KDZ from http://lg-roms.com/
