For some reason I feel like I saw a button somewhere on the phone settings saying "Glove mode" but I don't find it...
Does the phone has one or am I confused?
Glove mode? Other phones have this, but not Honor 6X by what i can see. Try to check under accessibility, if glove mode isn't there, then there isn't
Don't now if it is the same for all models. But my BLN-L21 (Honor 6x), had that option in emui 4. Now in emui 5, only pocket mode appears.

I'm happy that I didn't get confused then...
But if so, why did they remove such a useful feature? It makes no sense to remove it if it was working...

Maybe because you're getting touchscreen gloves on every corner these days! ?

I know but I have some some gloves that are very comfortable here, and I won't find a equal pair with touchscreen support lol... But if the phone supports it why did they remove? Lol

Hi everyone,
My previous cellphone is s5 which I most like for its multi windows function.
But unfortunately, I only received "this application is not supported by dual windows" message for any applications that I've tried.. Any of you have success experience with this feature with mate 8?
Thanks,
Gerry
hm iirc this feature only works with supported huawei apps....

If you're rooted, you can enable it for all your apps.
Follow instructions here:

It worked for me.

I have the Chinese version (AL-10) Mate 8 that was brought from China and an attempt to make it more European i did unlock the bootloader, root and install a rom, all went well untill, he reboots turns off and never more gave no sign of life. Can not turn on or any of the combinations of buttons (vol +, vol- and power) works. Is it possible to give him life again? I apologize for my bad English. Thanks!

Unfortunately no.
wow then this must be pretty bad indeed... do u have huawei hisuite installed? if theres no sign of a connected device within the software suite, then it sounds like either a hard brick or damaged hardware..

Does No body yet figure out why Double-Tap to wake up not working on mate 9 and any trick to enable it???
I really wish that there was a solution to enable it
Yes, sell and buy something better. I'll back to Z11. Mate 9 not have any special and user friendly for me.
download from the market
There are several apps who promise to do this. As far as I know it depends on the kernel. Huawei mate 9 kernel does not support it yet. So if you tested a app which has a working workaround please give the link to that app.

as far as I know those apps only works with Amoled displays and I think for mate 9 power consumption would be high
correct me if I'm wrong
Anyone tested this guide on Mate 9? It works on Mate 8 and P9.

Yeah, you get the setting but can't enable it.
I decided to go with Proximity sensors for the time being until someone could find a solution
Also is your mate 9 touchscreen a little bit weak in sensing your fingers too??? Sometimes I have to tap 3 times to do a thing. I'm coming from Galaxy Note 3 and this really began to bother me

Anyone knowing why Huawei want to disable DT2W? possible they can't make it run with finger print unlock "security pin required".
The programer run into the blind spot of the design logic...
Hi all,
I have an honor 8 that I really like but am super frustrated that I can't remove the lock screen. I have tried everything on these forums and read through the threads - no luck. Any other advice? The only thing that I haven't been able to do is set a backup pin for the fingerprint or pattern lock and then get around it that way. Any idea how I can do that? My phone just never prompts for a backup pin and I see no way of putting one in. This is driving me insane.
Thanks for the help.
Best,
Seth
Try this, do a pattern or pin unlock without fingerprint, then add a fingerprint

I just tried this and was able to add a fingerprint in fingerprint management. It then asks for backup pin and when I do the wrong fingerprint 5 times, I entered the in. Still didn't unlock the setting. So frustrating!

Yes, the one that we set after setting fingerprint unlock

If you have pin code, it bypassed .
No locks.power to wake and homescreen is displayed.

I think if we remove protection and set it to none then the option will come back on EMUI 5. I'm not sure though since I don't want it to wipe all my fingerprints.

Hello,
I had Huawei GR5, there was Swype for Huawei keyboard pre-installed.
I bought a new mobile ( Huawei GR3 2017 ) and found only Gboard !
I thought Swype for Huawei keyboard comes with all Huawei mobiles, Am I wrong ?
If there should be the keyboard, Why I can't find it ?
If the mobile doesn't come with it, Can I take the APK from another Huawei phone ( GR5 ) and it will be compatible with GR3 2017 ?
Gboard is better I also using it

I liked Swype more than Gboard.
My question is, Does the phone really don't come with Swype Keyboard ? Or I'm missing something in the settings or I should do factory reset or something else ?

Hi there, i don't know if every Huawei phone comes with Huawei Swype installed, since that this is my first phone of them, but you could try to install it via APK indeed. You have it, or you need that i upload it here for you?

It got removed for me after updating. This is happening on plenty of users.
it should be by default. if not, a factory reset or settings-apps-3 dots, reset app preference may bring it back again.
or can install from - https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/themes/huawei-swype-apk-t3489898
i just backed up it on EMUI 5- https://mega.nz/#!6FVB0SiR!wZmxHiKIwRsayHITLhLwdarfv-GoGXyRAx1pWe36baE
