Ive been at this for 3 days straaaiiighhhtttt trying to figure out how to either:
Relock My bootloader
--OR--
Disable FRP
my mate 9 was bought last week, and i want to root it. my bootloader status is showing unlocked but the FRP is showing as locked. in Dev settings the OEM option is grayed out probably from the previous user doing a factory reset.
ive been skimming through this whollle forum, ive seen people say use "fastboot oem relock", " SRKToolHuawei-Lod-Chong-V2.0", "fastboot oem google unlock", or "flash the stock firmware"
In all my life of android rooting, ive never been so confused.
I just need someone to tell me how Im able to either relock my bootloader so I can unlock it again and remove the frp or disable the frp in its current locked state.
the fastboot oem commands dont work, and yes ive tried it with my unlock pw, i tried the SRK tool and that doesnt work either, i keep getting that status failed error. Ive seen people who have had success. so im sure SOMEONE knows how to get me where i need to be lol Please HALP!
Mate 9 (Not the pro) MHA-L29
Try: remove current pin, fingerprints, Google account. Reboot. Check if you can enable oem unlocking now in Dev settings.

Hmm. Actually, you did use the command:
fastboot oem relock xxxxxx
Where xxxxxx is your bootloader unlock code
?
Edit: ah, you used your unlock pw already, which I assume is your bootloader unlock code .
You could actually try adding your Google account again and see if that enables oem unlocking in Dev options...

Search for just MHA-L29C567. I'd try B183 or B190 (the one from 20/5).
B167 was the first public FW for C567, anything prior to that can't be installed.

Install using Firmware Finder. It's just more likely you'll be able to flash B167. B190 is kind of new.
It's like this. Huawei pushes an update to their server. A few weeks later they start approving IMEIs for update.
Edit: It's called In-app proxy in Firmware Finder. I have not used it. I've only updated using Firmware Finder for windows and changing routers dns to match Firmware finders IP.

You can't dload. Almost no Mate 9 firmware is approved for offline installation..
It's either Firmware Finder or FunkyHuawei(cost money to use, should be last resort).
And since you can't install twrp, rebranding to a dload firmware is not an option (AL00C00 and C636)

Using the in-app proxy? I thought you could actually apply it after downloading, but apparently it has to go through System Update...
Open Firmware Finder in your phone,
Tap on/Search for your firmware and on the one you want (FullOTA MHA-L29C567B167).
Tap on "In-App Proxy". Tap on OK.
Go to your phones Settings - Wifi.
Long-press on your current Wifi connection. Tap "Modify Network".
Check "Show advanced options".
Tap "Proxy", tap on Manual.
Set Proxy hostname to "localhost" (without quotes)
Set Proxy Port to "8080" (without quotes)
Tap Save.
Now go to Settings - System Update - "Check for Update".
It should now find the B167 update, let it download and install.

Since a lot of weeks and a lot of bricks I’ve tested this solution. You don’t need an unlocked bootloader or rooted phone, you just have to pay 15€.
Before testing be sure you have the full firmware of your phone to go back if you need so.
You need :
DC-Phoenix
full firmware NXT-L29432B320
15 € credit for www.dc-unlocker.com
You will first use :
DC Phoenix New Account (it costs 15 euros for 15 credits to use for 72h after initial flash (small price to pay compared to sending to repair shop or having a useless brick)
An UPDATE.APP at your choice for your phone (AL10 or L29, both are interchangeable) -
This file with partition rework and factory firmware -*DOWNLOAD*
1. Make sure you have at least 30% of battery.
2. Open DC Phoenix and login with your credentials.
3. Put your phone in fastboot mode (Vol. - + Power).
4. Select «fastboot mode» in DC Phoenix and then go to the «IMG FILES» tab.
5. Select the «NXT-AL10_M00A102_Factory_firmware_Global_Nonspecific_A ndroid_6.0_EMUI_4.0» file and hit Open.
6. Click on «Update» and be patient. This should take 10 minutes.
7. Follow the log on the left. When it says «writing success», reboot your phone (Vol. - and Power until display goes off). The phone should normally boot into a Chinese-like ROM.
This would install a factory firmware, erase all data and re-partition your phone, after that you would be able to install a new ROM.
My phone was mate 8 DL00 3/32Go and was with NXT-C900B180, no update OTA.
8. Put your phone back in fastboot mode and select the «APP FILES» tab in DC Phoenix.
9. Select your UPDATE.APP, from the zip file you've downloaded, and hit Update. Be patient. This may take up to 20 minutes.
10. Again, look at the log for «writing success» line and then reboot your phone.
Now my phone is NXT-L29C432B320 and a new update is immediately available NXT-L29C432B330
Big thanks to djmitza222 who posted THE tuto to unbrick mate 8.
I was looking for a trick to change my international ROM by european one, I’ve tested his post and work's with a full firmware ROM. :silly:
If your phone is bricked see djmitza222's tuto
Just few minutes later I've received NXT-L29C432B560, donwload, install, reboot.
All seem's to be :good:
Whait and see
Hello,
I followed your guide, i'm started from NXT-C900B180 (unlocked) and at the finish I have NXT-C900B320 (!?!).
Where was I wrong? Are you sure that the zip NXT-L29C432B320.zip contains actually NXT-L29C432B320 ?
Thank you

Yes I'm sure zip contains NXT-L29C432B320, perhaps you must change oeminfo before, to be EU.
I've done this and after, unroot and install zip file with dc-phoenix.

Yes there is a guide (google is your friend ), but after you have unlocked and rooted your phone you just have to use SrkTools and change oeminfo.
See this tuto : How to switch to use stock firmware from other models
at SrkTool prompt use menu 7 and 9, choose mate 8 and eu ( 432 )
Some time you need to do reset factory default after changing oeminfo, just check after modification like test below.
I think your phone don't have vendor info, when you use this code *#*#2846579#*#* and network information query / vendor country info
If all is good you must see :
Vendor Country Info
Vendor: hw
Country: eu
Have a nice day

I think it's possible but you must Choose factory firmware for your phone in phoenix data base :
https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei-android-phone-flashing-factory-image
After flashing the factory firmware, all would be erase on your phone (exept oeminf and IMEI, so you must unlock your bootloader, root your phone and change country with SrkTools) and you should flash full firmware for L09 with the country you would like to have.
Flash a firmware just before the new one ( for exemple if the latest is B560 take the full B330 or 320), so you should test if OTA update works fine.
I've only tried the tuto at the top of the thread.

Sorry, I don't know what is happening.
My bootloader was unlocked and after the upgrade with DC Phoenix it was already unlocked.
I've found this :
u can fix it using the HCU tool to repair or reinstate serial/imei but you have to have that information at hand..once done repairing you can proceed to read the bootloader code using the same tool..at fastboot, the phone may already show that bootloader unlocked but all you have to do is unlocking the bootloader again using code received from HCU tool, via fastboot oem unlock XXX.

How do i do that, flash system, boot and recovery.img using fastboot without reflashing cust?
Some context:
My MHA-L29C432B138 with TWRP got an OTA update on the phone itself, and I wanted to update (it wanted me to update to B182).
Since I had TWRP replacing the stock recovery I could not flash it through the normal way, so I went ahead to replace TWRP with the stock recovery so I could update.
I was unable to flash the stock recovery since I had no access to flashing in fastboot (FRP Lock, PHONE Unlocked, OEM unlocking option greyed out in developer settings), so I attempted to relock so I could unlock again, hoping that would solve my issue (fastboot oem relock KEY).
By doing this my phone went into a reset, now I'm stuck at FRP Lock, PHONE Relocked, and I can only access the bootloader and eRecovery.
eRecovery is attempting to download updates but fails every time, and I can't use HiSuite to do a system recovery neither (says my device is not supported).
So this is where I'm stuck, any help would be nice!

Try to unlock after this.
This does low-level format.
My device: Mate 9 supersu B190 Mediapad X2 GEM 701->703 B212 KangVIP (AJ mod)
Everything in fastboot (flashing, locking, unlocking) was unavailable, eRecovery was not working, HiSuite said my device was not supported, and dload didn't work neither (tried 3 different firmware versions).
After spending 1-2 hours on Telegram with others I ended up using funkyhuawei with eRecovery, only thing that worked for me.
Last time I buy a Huawei device for sure, their own services don't even work (eRecovery, HiSuite).

As I said here, for your case the patched HiSuite method would have worked. But it's too late now, you paid, I was in holidays.. I know it's a shame that HiSuite says unsupported or erecovery not working but you could have made your phone compatible by writing some text in a file and using Lucx's script instead of paying funkyhuawei, their service never worked for me.

Hi, am on the same situation, could you plz provide detailed steps to patch hisuite am unable to find any lucx's script.
i got my phone bricked like this
I could fix my phone flashing a factory firmware using DC Phoenix (Yes, I have to pay).
I Flash MHA-AL00 first, then I use eRecovery to install the latest stock firmware and finally HCU Client to repair the empty board (IMEI, S/N, MAC, etc).
I had the same then suddenly it is hardbricked no charging no nothing . It was a 1 month old phone. I didnt do anything other than downloading a c636 oreo and i was c185. But i received it trough the system update using firmware finder and even it authenticated itself. Even installed it with no problem. Then suddenly it broke and after soft brick became hard brick nothing. Now it in service centre i hope they can fix it. It is under warranty. pray for me
help me please
i have the same problem what should i do please help

Which number of firmware you tried via dload??
Which firmware number you were on before issue??
When you say that the dload method doesn't work, what do you get when you try it ? You have to flash the proper firmware for your phone, otherwise it will deny it, you can maybe use a rollback package.
Try the Huawei tool ... U can fix it easily and you can play around don't panic it's the first thing ...

Alright I think this is a good point , now that you can use the dload method you need to know under which EMUI version you were because the phone won't accept a firmware that is lower or to high compared to your actual EMUI version.
What I did when I was in your case is flashing a rollback package downloaded from honor official site and then flash an old EMUI which is under Android 6.x.
After a few tries you can make it, I hope I've been clear, English isn't my native language
An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.

What I did when I was in your case is flashing a rollback package downloaded from honor official site and then flash an old EMUI which is under Android 6.x.
After a few tries you can make it, I hope I've been clear, English isn't my native language

Thanks a lot for your help but I don't really know how but while I was trying to go back to the erecovery menu the phone just boot up and it worked. I did a factory reset because the phone was a bit laggy and now it works.
Lol everything's alright then

Ok here i go ... Open the Huawei tool ... And follow steps to install TWRP ...turn of the phone , once it's off hold the volume button down then connect the phone to the PC that would take to some type of fastboot ! Flash recovery the 2 option .... Reboot into TWRP .. from the Huawei tool u would see and option of stock i think there u can copy the recovery OEM info system and boot option flash them all one by one .... Reboot the phone ... And you would be redirected to recovery from WiFi and now it would work since u flash the OEM info now the phone knows what to look for u won't get the getting info failed ... And that's it just makes sure u have a good stable WiFi connection ...
And like a said the more calm and relax u do these the better the first time I screw the phone I almost get a heart atack :crying: it's easy
Unable to get Product ID - Honor 8

My Honor 8 broke after it downloaded and installed the very first update. Since the failed 'update' I am NOT able to access Android at all. The phone was stuck on the Huawei eRecovery screen which fails to connect via wi-fi and is unable to connect or retrieve any information from the server to update and repair the phone. I was able to use a 'roll-back' package and install the stock firmware (FRD-AL10), but since I have done the roll-back and restored the stock firmware the phone boots to the first screen where you select your 'Region', then the 'Language', WiFi connection, Agree to the Terms & Conditions, then skip the following steps for Cloud and something else - after all this it goes back to the 'REGION' selection screen, then again the Language selection screen and so on - it just loops and never boots into Android.
Thus I am unable to get the Product ID, the unlock code, etc.
The phone is still locked and UNrooted as all the other solutions rely on the phone being UNlocked and Rooted - but since I DON'T have access to Android I cannot do anything with the phone.
Can someone help me to retrieve the Product ID from an essentially 'DEAD' Honor 8 phone??

I have followed this 'dload' process to load the stock 'FRD-AL10 - ...C00B135' onto my Honor 8, it completes successfully then the phone reboots to where I have to select the Region, then Language, then WiFi, then agree to the Agreement, etc.. then the phone 'loops' back to the Region, Language, WiFi, selection and everything from start.
Is there a way to get past this 'loop' to the point where the phone actually boots into Android?? I cannot access the Product ID, unlock or root the phone.
Any help will be appreciated, thanks.
Hi, Frd-L02 (IN) B361 update is out and its approved for installation (available on firmware finder).
Anybody tried this?
Do we get updated Gallery and Cam apps or just security updates?
Gallery recycle bin, some icon changes, icon in the heads-up notification to directly switch to multi window. It's quite stable so no issues there
I downloaded the 400mb update from firmware finder using "change DNS" method but after downloading it says "authenticating package" and then says "server temporarily unavailable". Anybody know how to fix it??
Edit: also tried "in app proxy" method of FF but update download continues in a loop once download reaches 99%
Installed the update, did a factory reset.. looks fine for now!!

"Your device has failed verification..." after Firmware Finder update [SOLVED]
Hello to everyone!!
I have a problem with my Honor 8, it is the FRD-L09 model firmware B394.
I installed Firmware Finder from Playstore and tried to downloaded the B402 version, it downloaded a lot of packages ota and then tried to install the update without success.
After that, when I turn on the phone, there is this message. If I push the power button the phone starts.
I don't know if it can be useful but if I go into fastboot mode the phone says: phone unlocked and frp locked, but I haven't unlock the bootloader. The phone is new, purchase from the honor site.
Thank you in advance!!
EDIT: I was able to resolve the problem with the rollback guide of huawei, flashing MM via dload!!
When you update with FF, I recommend to use the change DNS thing. Just for the future.

You can try to reinstall EMUI on it. There is a guide called "back to emui from custom roms", which requires the openkirin twrp, though. Anyway, did you check that you have firmware access with IMEI?

Yes, I checked it before start the update
EDIT: Can I use the restore option into Hisuite?
When using either option, in System Update press the 3dot menu and select full package. This will download one large update rather than the multiple OTA files.

Typically you get this problem when you install an update without locking the bootloader.. This happened with me couple of weeks back.. I think happens, cos during the process of the update the bootloader gets locked, but it doesnt come up on the fastboot (donno why)
I just unlocked the bootloader using the OEM code and voila it worked... I was able to get ride of this message as well as root the phone.. Do try and let me know!
@kishorev
have you asked OEM code from huawei site?
