After successfully altering the InCallUI (accept, reject, hangup icons in phone dialer) on my rooted S8, it does not retain after a restart or a Samsung system app update and reverts back to those default cartoony icons. I can return them again by changing back to default theme then re-applying my customized theme. Just beginning to be a bit of a pain in darse as this process also changes/breaks 3 or 4 other theming aspects, which are not affected by restarts, that I have to readjust to maintain my theme!
I know it all sounds very OCD, probably like most of us here, but anybody know if there is an additional configuration file/folder that needs to be edited/altered to make those "InCallUI" icons stick upon a restart?
Thanks in advance!

Made this because I was sick of having so many different sized and colored icons on the notification bar. That stuff drives me nuts, or maybe it bothers me because I am already nuts...but either way here it is.
This Morph converts your current static (ie-right side) notification icons to be consistent in size and color (White and Grey for Dark Bar, Black and Grey for Light Bar), and removes the black boxes around them. This only works for icons that appear on the right of the notification bar and will not effect "alert" icons that appear on the left side such as USB connection, Usb debugging, and others. Also included is a optional morph that will make your lockscreen alarm and charging icons more consistent with the main morphs. They can also be viewed in the image below.
Hit up the images below to see the full range of icons and a screen cap. Also this works great if you use the night rendering mode in CM6 frequently, as I do.
This is working for me on CM6, and I imagine it will work on many other roms as well.

Standard disclaimer: Do a nandroid BU before you flash this. I have no idea whats on your system, or what may cause it to break, therefore you flash this at your own risk, as with pretty much every morph.
If you are experiencing issues with metamorph hanging while trying to install, make sure you have usb debugging turned on in your system settings. yes, you really need to do this. go to settings-->applications-->development-->make sure usb debugging is checked!
If that doesnt work check this list made by morpher Formel-LMS. Must be that German efficiency...
1. Have you downloaded the correct files for your ROM?
2. Have you debugging enabled in the Android Menu?
3. Install "Titanium Backup" start it and hit the "Problems?" Button, then it installs a correct busybox version. This is required!!!
4. In Metamorph, press Menu, play with the applying speed. Choose a speed above 4200!
5. Never check the "Disable startup checks" in Metamorphs settings
6. Never, never, never rename the zipfile. If you do this, you'll get error messages like "Theme Control File Missing"

======================update 8-28-10============
NEW VERSIONS FOR BOTH LIGHT AND DARK, MORE ICONS INCLUDED!
Ok, the version for light bars is done and posted below along with an icon overview image. I have also added in a few I missed the first time around like the sync icons and vibrate only icon, for both versions.
Saved for future post.
Applied the DarkOnly icons, in combo with GlasStatusBar.
Works great, looks nice, thanks for making this!
[CM6 RC3, on N1]
(notification bar looks a bit off, because of Drocap)

Nice, glad you like it. Nice screen shot too, thx for attaching.
I applied this via metamorph and restarted, yet no changes are showing, I'm running CM6 and Debugging is on.
Hey, so the notification text colour in the 'drawer' is black, on a dark grey background which makes it almost impossible to read for mst things (downloads etc)
Is there any way to change this? I'd like to change the colour to white or somethng
Thanks in advance!
U can play with UOT kitchen, but several things seem not to work for our stock rom (window animation/lock screens/notification power buttons) It's easy and doesn't harm to try though.
go to uot.dakra.lt/
Thanks for the link, I tried out just changing the notification drawer, but although most of the edit worked, I lost the drawer transparency :/
More experimentation required! (I'll post back here if I have success)
Kit Kat changed the colors from blue to white, but there are still blue left overs. AOKP is doing a nice job with getting rid of it, but my kernel doesn't work with that ROM.
Change button color to white, as well as the little check mark, loading screens for power off, power menu, etc.
Not going to change. This was intentional UI design by Google, and changing it can potentially break the UI of many apps.
At some point theme engine support will be back in place, but this is an alteration of the default theme that should not be done.
I don't understand. If this is the way Google intentionally made it then why does my stock AOSP ROM on my Nexus for had grey accents? I'm running Omni and I love it but this blue color sometimes bugs me a bit.
Screenshot?
What wasn't supposed to happen happened: I was using the theme sd-black, and then I put my phone in ultra power saving mode for a few hours. When I reverted back, everything seemed normal...until I changed themes and none of the icons changed. I switched to the default theme and while a few built in apps changed (like Phone and Messages), the rest stayed the same: tiny icons in a black circle. When I opened my icon pack themer, all the default app icons (which I can normally choose from, even with non default themes installed), were not options anymore. I've tried to use the same process that I think caused the bug to revert it, but nothing works. Any ideas?
I know it's the gradient fading in of the notification bar, and it's just on the home screen...is there anyway to disable it?
Change your theme or wallpaper. Problem solved.

Obviously, but I would like to keep a dark wallpaper and stock theme. That's why I'm asking.
I've had the same issue! It's horrible as the gradient isn't even that smooth.
I tried Nova Launcher and it still did it. Changing theme didn't seem to fix it.
The fact that it goes away on every other screen makes me think it should be able to be disabled...maybe with package disabler, but I don't want to blindly disable stuff and mess something up.
I've only found a few similar things online for this, but it seems Samsung dump some stupid fade effect on the notification bar. I wish I could turn it off. Or force a proper transparent bar on the home screen

It happened to me also. I am using nova launcher. Apply the theme again, than apply the wallpaper and choose to apply on both scrern and lockscreen. Then you can choose whatever you want for the lockscreen again.
