Hi Friend,
i my using motorola photon 4g in India, can any one suggest if i can use Nokia WH-701 handfree with motorola photon 4g. Will the media control of Nokia WH-701 support my device.
or suggest me any better handfree to be used.
Thanks in advance.
Mostly Android smartphones support any kind of handsfree-kits.
So with 95% making calls (speech control) works fine. Whether multimedia control is working you just have to try out.
I would suggest to buy a Sony Ericsson MW600.
This one is bluetooth powered, so you have no disturbing wires and still use any headphones you wish to.
This device does support anything you want. Speech control, multimedia control and even shows you, who is calling
Do you have any suggestions for a non-Sony by head set?
As an alternative you can look out for the Jabra Clipper.
Pretty much the same, but without display.
The Jabra device has great build quality, as the body is mostly out of metal and the battery life is impressive.
But why not that Sony thing?
Im using it since one year now and am absolutely satisfied.
Further the Sony headset supports up to 2 devices. So if you use a phone and another external mp3-player you have not to reconnect every time, but just switch the devices by a keypress
Why not Sony it is a moral thing, due to they build quality of there products, the way they treat customers.
Ah, i can understand your point
It's like the reason, why i never would buy apple products
So, as i worte: Jabra Clipper.
Best BT-adapter i had before the Sony.
Just changed it for the display.
Hi everyone
This is my very first post to XDA.
Hope my query comes through correctly and is of help to others as well.
Well, for the last couple of months I have been trying to figure out which bluetooth headset from Sony (SBH52 AND MW1) is better over the other in terms of-
1)Sound ie, after reading a lot I have known that the MW1 packs a Wolfson Dac but just could not figure out if it's the same or better on the SBH52?
2)Are the live Sound ear buds MH1A on the MW1 any better than the Mh755 in terms of the audio quality?
Is it possible that the Mh755 have been improved over the years?
This is because the whole SBH52 family of headsets have them instead of the live Sound ear buds.
3)And lastly the SBH52 being newer in comparison to the MW1 have any technical advantage in terms of the usability over the MW1.
And has anyone tried to couple the live Sound ear buds with the SBH52 and experienced the overall improvement or degradation in the sound?
Because I have the live Sound ear buds and would like to buy the SBH52 and use it with them.
I know a lot to ask but it'll really be a great help if you can help.
Thanks

Was wondering if anybody is using this device for VR and how is the experience? I have never used a VR headset but i would like to know what are some of the best/ most recommended headsets available. I've seen the Zeiss VR One headset but not really sure if there are any features or pros that would make this set a viable purchase over say a 15-40 dollar set off of amazon. Far as i know the only features any of them offer is adjusting focal length/distance? Nothing to spend an extra 60 bucks on.
PS: A large 5.7 QHD screen with stereo front facing speakers seemed perfect for VR hence one of the main reasons i decided to go with this phone over my other top picks. Might as well get the most out of the experience lol
Can the Gear VR games and software be used on other headsets

No the Gear VR only works with very certain Samsung handsets such as the Galaxy S6 and S7 Family of Devices. But there are other VR Headsets under the name of Google Cardboard all over amazon etc that will work with Android phones as long as that VR Headset supports a screen size that your phone has.
The P2 from Dodo Case is a great starting VR Headset. It's currently at $18. I love it. As the market sits currently, there is no reason to purchase a $100+ VR Headset. The support is not all there, and the VR apps are just beginning to grow. I'd say purchase a cheap cardboard VR Headset so you can test it out, and later, once more support and more demanding applications are made, then purchase a real VR headset. It's been reported that Google themselves will create a more sophisticated VR Headset, and with LG's, HTC's, Sony's, Samsung's respective headsets, will create a hopefully amazing and demanding market for VR.

the most reasonable ones ive seen were destek and vr box. there about 25 dollars and look to be pretty comfortable
I really like the design of this one.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B4DK0WO?m=A28UPC11K5E82V&ref_=v_sp_widget_detail_page
Pleasing to the eye and looks comfortable.
I am using google cardboard v2, very interesting project, and its good to get familiar with VR world.
Using the ViewMaster, got them for $15 from amazon warehouse. This phone just fits without much wiggle room but it fits. They feel very solid and my kids love them.
I have the FreeFly VR and that really has been very good.
currently i use a homido. the adjustability is ok since you can swap the lenses out easilly for near/far sighted. the main difference between them function wise is some allow for pupillary distance and focal length adjustments *look for dials on the side and top* and optics. the zeiss headset has a very high quality optics set. but you can get by with a cheaper one with a few mods very easilly. *you may have to custom make a headband or padding so you can wear it continuousely.
An option i would look into is a bluetooth controller. can get one for a couple bucks and will save you a lot of headaches from having to take the phone out of the headset to start an app or something.

I got a WeAreVR headset from amazon! Can't expect Gear VR quality from a 30 dollar headset but it ain't to bad for an early experience. Not really sure of too many worthwhile VR experiences yet outside of the big money ones, but as a cheap headset for youtube videos occasionally it's not half bad.
Any updated recommendations for VR headsets for my Moto X pure? I'm in the market. Thx!
I got fiit VR and it's pretty good imo
Anyone know if you can use the netflix VR app with moto x pure and a headset? I think i saw its only supported by the daydream product line?
I like a lot the BOBOVR Z4, a little pricier than the usual 18$ Chinese headset, but it has a good built and lens quality
I am using One Plus headset its pretty decent for the price.
Zeiss One plus.
Sorry to dredge up a slightly dead thread.. But..
Supposedly Zeiss are going to release a kit, which lets you connect the Zeiss VR One Plus to your computer, so the headset functions more as a Rift HMD, which will also allow compatibility with Steam VR.
This sounds pretty nice, since the VR One Plus, supposedly does not need any adjustments to lenses (I am constantly fidgeting with my 20€ china headset, and never getting a great image) and also the high resolution on the X-Style should make for decent sharpness.
And.. Supposedly a set with the VR One Plus and the connection kit, should cost about 150$, which isn't too bad, if it works.
Obviously still needs to be released, reviewed and available near me.. But I am a bit excited.
Question though.. The Seizz VR One Plus website, states that it works with phones up to 5.5", and the X-style/pure is 5,7".. It has a fairly small bezel, but still.. Anyone have any experience with this headset ?
Thank in advance.
(Edit.. What the hell.. 150$ in first article.. Next article states about 200€... That EU tax hits hard sometimes..)
Hello there,
I would like to know if there is a compatible/working VR headset for this phone, any help towards directing me to one would be greatly appreciated!
Edit: i have found a headset Nevermind
Which one did you get? and what about compatibility?
I have one old cheap noname "VR" glasses, that work with Google Cardboard, but not apps/games dedicated to commercial technologies, like Gear VR, Occulus VR, etc.
I wish I could get Minecraft PE VR or other good VR apps/games to work.
Hello dear people!
I am actually looking for how to use a smartphone (LG V30 in my case) as a music player only.
So I would want to have installed the 'best' sounding audiophile app and have everything else, everything not audio related removed from the phone.
Would you be able to point in the right direction? Or even have a step by step guide..?
I am 100% new to this matter, so I already got totally lost on this site when I searched before. I have no idea what everything means (every sentance has 3 or 4 words I dont understand..), so even when I would able to find the right thread, I don't understand at all what people are talking about.
I am an audiophile and I chose the LG V30 because it has 4 dac chips (digital to analog converter) and should have the capability to sound very, very good.
I would appreciate your or anybody else's help in this greatly.
Sound quality with music is my passion!
Sincerely looking forward to all clear and directional responses!
Gaston
In any case ... the best sounding audio player (having tested a lot of them - I also am an audiophile) is AIMP . I use it for my laptop and also for my smartphone. The Stereo separation on the V30 is not that great (tested in 2018) but maybe they improved that with software updates. I am looking to buy yet another pair of headphones - having bought JBL and JVC and Philips and Sennheiser + many more in the past. I have my eyes on Sony XB50AP (not taking any chances). May I ask what are you using? Thanks.
