Backup Photos & Keeping own Album Folder structure intact - General Questions and Answers

I currently use Plex to manage all of my photo Albums and a lot of time has been spent organizing and naming albums they way I like. I'm wanting to backup up all these photos online to be able to share them easier with friends & family. Currently I tried backup up to Google Photos and Amazon Photos. In neither case does my album folder structure carry over. I have no desire to re-create all of these albums either. I had to upload my photos via the web for both since their apps do not support networked drives
Is there another service that would allow me to accomplish this? Or maybe another way to upload them and keep all my photo albums as-is?

Portable Photo Album Software on microSD card?

Just curious. Since you are able to connect phone to computer and treat SD card as an external drive. Wouldn't it be possible to install some sort of photo album software on the phone to execute from windows?
I hate organizing my photos, I'd like to keep them contained in one spot. I don't take many pictures but I hate trying to organize my albums into folders manually.
What software would everyone suggest as well for a simple photo album manger?

iPhoto and Nexus 5

Guys, can anyone recommend the best software to transfer photos to and from the Nexus 5 and iPhoto on a Mac?
I have DoubleTwist, but that software can only transfer photos TO iPhoto not from it. I want to be able to transfer albums from my iPhoto to my N5.
So far it seems a nigh on impossible task.
Also, music to and from iTunes is also nigh on impossible.

Android File Transfer is a pain as you have to figure out what photo's you have already transferred over.
I was hoping for more of an iPhoto style app that automatically picks up new photo's to transfer over.

I would probably just transfer them manually using whatever Apple's default file explorer is. Or you could turn on Cloud syncing, then just pull the new photos down manually from the cloud on your Mac if you wanted. Easiest would be manual transfer IMO. Drag and drop them.
Use Google+ as a cloud storage for your photos. They will automatically show up in your stock gallery and wont take up space on your device.

Transfer whole albums to PC

Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to transfer whole albums from my android phone (LG G4) to my Windows PC. I use Google Photos as my app for managing images and creating albums within the app, but when I connect my phone to my PC via usb, I no longer see the albums but all the images mixed up. I figured there must be an app (diferent to google photos) which will allow me to do this. Do you know any? Or any other way to do this?
Thank you!
I just use seperate folders and Syncthing, it's open source too and works really well

Looking for an app to cloud sync photos and then shrink them on the phone

I'm looking for an app (or Tasker actions or similar) to sync photos made on the phone to a remote storage and resize (shrink) the local photos afterwards. I know there is the app Gallery Drive Sync that does exactly that, however it's not resyncing photos that have been deleted in Google Drive from the phone back to Google Drive. The app Google Photos (with cached remote gallery browsing that feels like local browsing) is not suitable since I cannot choose which folders to sync and I cannot use another gallery app of my choice to view the "cached remote" photos (the photos that Google Photos removes from the device to save storage space). If you have a suggestion, please let me know. Thanks!

[APP][8.0]Poltreder

Hello,
I would like to present you a new exciting application I have developed to let users share their photos and videos without storing them on a any cloud server.
Sharing is secure and end-to-end encrypted between mobile terminals, and is done only from device to device (P2P) without any intermediate server. Only your friends have a copy of your photos and videos, but they cannot access them to save elsewhere (screenshot is also disabled).
You can install the application on Google Play
Poltreder, private secure phot - Apps on Google Play
Safely share your photos/videos with your friends while preserving your privacy.
play.google.com
Thanks for your comments or any issue report.
All the functionalities in detail:
• Poltreder lets you manage and share all the photos and videos available in the library of your mobile device (i.e. taken with the mobile camera).
• Organize your photos and videos into collections. A collection is a simple tag (see it as a folder) to group your photos and videos. You can then share the collection with your friends. This allows you to control who can view which photos or videos of your camera library.
• Your photos and videos are not saved in any cloud server, but directly transferred towards the devices of your friends. Sharing with Poltreder is fully secure and encrypted.
• Whenever you delete a photo or video from a collection, it still exists in your device, but it is automatically removed from the devices of your friends. Similarly, when deleting photos and videos permanently from your device library, they are also removed from any collection which contains them, and mostly, as well as from the devices of your friends with whom you have shared them.
• If you decide to remove a friend from accessing a collection, the collection (incl. all the photos and videos) will be also deleted from your friend's device.
• If you delete a friend, all the collections, including photos and videos, you shared with your friend will be removed from his/her device, and in turn, all the photos and videos shared by your friend will be also removed from your device.
• No need to create an account to use Poltreder. We just ask you to choose a username and an avatar: this only allows your friends to identify you easily! Account creation is done locally on your device using a process of invitations by email to link accounts between them for sharing photos and videos.
