Which mount options should be checked under TWRP generally? - Honor 6X Questions & Answers

So, when I first installed TWRP, the options originally checked were cache, vendor, and micro SDcard. However, I'd instantly get an error when trying to format data and factory resetting from TWRP, so I was wondering if any more boxes should be ticked with a check mark and if any ones already with a check mark should be empty.

By default, the ticked options should be cache, data, micro SD and vendor. You get error because data wasn't ticked, try to tick it and retry.

How to make a clean reinstallation

Hello,
I am currently triying to make a clean installation of CM12. I wiped cache, dalvik..., data and a format via TWRP. Then installed current nightly. After first boot I get dozens of error messages that processes stopped. And: "unfortunately, Setup Wizardstopped." I am not able to us the tablet because of those error messages...
What did I wrong? Thought a wipe cache, dalvik... data and a format is enogh to make a clean installation?!
Now it seems to work. Could it be, that data (like folder Android) on my SD Card caused the problems? I removed the android folder on my card and wiped it again....

[Q] Corrupted internal storage

ill keep this simple. tried to advanced wipe data and cache with TWRP which returned an E:/ unable to mount for both data and cache. internal storage is now saying its 0MB after i "fastboot erase" on as many of the partitions it would return success with (ie, what was mounted) flashall is asking me for a specific device.
How do i reset the internal partitions so they become mountable again? i believe in erasing the ones i had, it has deleted them altogether and i need to flash original firmware to get it to auto restructure (im guessing)
EDIT: so i downloaded this (link not allowed) i just dont know how to implement it through adb or fastboot
somewhere i read that the latest moto PQ versions for CWM and TWRP both have some selinux problem when wiping data, causing a force unmount (parroting. i DONT know what im talking about)
the first time i installed with CM11 with twrp (after CMW only allowing me to install 10.2) it worked great, except google play and whisperpush(whatever that is) crashing consistently. i should have used 'fix permissions' instead of going for a wipe+re-install
please help, what commands do i need to use through fastboot to restore the partitions, or where can i get the fxz file to use with RSD?
this is a brand new out of the box Sim-modded and pre-rooted PQ
SOLVED (i think)
god im so ****ing stupid.
due to corrupting the file structure and not being able to mount the cache or data partitions, when i installed CM11 snapshot it picked my external SD as the data storage /android/data/
FIX: unmounting and removing the external SD i rebooted to system, booted back to recovery. -> factory reset.... auto reboot, cant mount messages, then a second time it said SELinux supported message. ->factory reset again and finally no red messages, wipe to system (got an error, but probably cause system = external SD). i then inserted the external SD, installed the ROM and everything looks normal and working right
TWRP will restore file structure with 'factory reset' BUT ONLY IF you remove your external sd
i hope this thread saves time and headaches for someone.

Major problem after internal storage wipe.

Hi. I have a D850 and I accidentally did an internal storage wipe. Ever since then my phone boots up and all, but it does not show a navigation bar or a status bar. I am going around in circles trying to figure it out. I tried doing a factory reset and I'm having no luck whatsoever. When I mount my USB all I see is a TWRP folder. Is my phone ruined? Thanks in advance.
Is your phone ruined? Far from it. If you are seeing the TWRP folder, that means you have TWRP installed. Just go to TWRP (I am assuming you know how to enter recovery mode). Go to Wipe; then go to Advanced Wipe. Make sure to UNCHECK "System" partition, and CHECK "Dalvik Cache", "Data", "Internal Storage", and "Cache" partitions. Swipe to wipe, and reboot. It should work. If not, then probably some system files have been messed up, and your only option is to reflash system partition, which means flashing a custom rom. Before that, also try Fixing permissions in Advanced section of TWRP.

TWRP Unable to Mount storage on wiping all but Internal storage

Hi all,
I'm installing ResurrectionRemix on my device, and so to do that, of course, I have to wipe System, cache, data and dalvik. However, without anything happening, it says Unable to mount storage. So I go into TWRP mount and press System. When I try again, the same thing happens. The only thing I can do after is restore a full nandroid backup (With data included)
I have no idea how to provide a logcat, however I'm sure it's easy and if it's needed I shall find out how.
Thanks,
MajorPlayz
