Is there a stable rom for the Xiaomi mi3?
Now I use the unofficial cm11 build, but the phone sometimes reboots automatically and battery life sucks![emoji22]
So besides the Miui roms are there roms thats pretty stable because I can't find official supported roms.
Hope someone knows.?
which is the best custom rom for mi4i with good camera , better battery life and reduce heating
MIUI itself, is already a great ROM, it provides better battery management.
But since the lacks of official stable ROM for MI4i, u can always try things out.
My reccomendations are:
1. CM 12
2. Infinitive OS (Daily Driver)
Just experiment,
cheers.
I changed my phone from mi 4i to mi 6, so i was about to give this phone to friend. But she not really technically inclined, per say. Currently my mi 4i has miui 8.0, but it is kind of unstable, super laggy at times and bad battery performance.
I was looking at most stable miui rom from xiaomi.eu as a permanent ROM. She loves miui so I dont want to flash cm based ROM. Appreciate anyone experiences in custom miui ROM.
Old version is fine, as long as it is most stable
In my opinion, Miui 7.1 or 7.2 from official site is the best in terms of performance and stability. Try it out

Miui 7 is marshmallow? Official site means xiaomi.com? I presume .eu vs .com is the same except chinese bloatware isnt? All those firmwares and drivers will be the same? Or there will be differences?
No official marsmallow is available for our device. I was talking about the official xiaomi website. not the eu one
HI! As per my opinion, you should gift it to her with MIUI7 stable ROM (Android 5.0.1)
On the other hand, if she wants to use Android 7.1.2 then install AOSP extended official 4.2 (Android 7.1.2). Only its in built FM app does not work but it can be enabled with the third party FM app.
You have to do some manual settings and work in that AOSP Ext official ROM.
1) Remove inbuilt Magisk tool, FM and camera app with LInk2SD
2) Install Snapdragon camera, All in one tool box (It has Best cleaner & startup management tools), sweet selfie camera and Spirit2 FM (Requires ROOT & Use Official superSu)

You have to only teach her that, "Do not grant ROOT access to untrusted or unofficial apps".
like aosp but updated cause the one we have has no updates
You did not tell us if you have Osprey or Merlin phone. If you have an Osprey, like me:
I guess the ported stock Nougat ROM will be the most basic. Link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/20.../rom-stock-rom-6-0-1-optimized-t3609991/page1
Check this thread for further ROM suggestions for Osprey:

Or just search through the Original Android Development forum for all different G3 variants:

Lineage OS is also a great Nougat rom. Almost AOSP, no heavy customization and great stability
If you do go for more customizations AOSP Extended is great
Pure Nexus ROM: very stable (my daily driver and never found any issue), smooth and very simple and light ROM ?
LineageOS or aosp-caf, I’d say
I agree with @nubry Purenexus is my favorite for a close to AOSP rom.
Best Custom ROMs for Android
LineageOS
LineageOS is a well-known name in the Custom ROM category. If you have ever used custom ROMs on any Android device, then you must have heard the name of the CyanogenMod. In 2016, the developer of CyanogenMod ROM stopped the development of CyanogenMod ROM, but later they released the CyanogenMod ROM with a new name named LineageOS. If you want a fully stable version of LineageOS, then install the official and Nightly build of the LOS ROM. However, the Android Pie Update of LineageOS ROM released for many devices but currently, most of them are Unofficial. So you may get minor bugs and issues in the ROM. If we talk about the customization the ROM support some basic customization like the Theme, always on display, Pixel blue accent color, etc. Like the LineageOS, PE ROM does not support the wide range of devices. However, if you are a Xiaomi device user, then it is likely that pixel ROMs are available for your device. Apart from that unofficial update is available for many Android devices but you may face some issues and bugs on the unofficial ROM.

The Performance of the ROM is outstanding. The customization is limitless in the Havoc OS ROM. You can select the Theme, Customize the Notification Panel, Animations, and so on. Overall the ROM is perfect in all terms if you want a feature pack rom then once try out the Havoc ROM on your android device.
AOSP Extended ROM
AOSP Extended ROM is an aosp based custom ROM which provides you the Stock UI along with some customization option. As the name suggests, the aosp source code directly builds the ROM.
