Currently using this as a daily rom on device.
no major issuse noticed. Just occasionaly need reboot to fix camera not connecting.
one unexplained blank screen upon unlocking, needing to force reboot in one week of running rom.
Continuing to push and swap libs to get final stable versioln ready.

I decided to try this ROM out cuz I wanted nougat, but I am unable to use my mobile data. Everything else works fine though

need to maunually set / add apn settings.
You can also try this apn-config update
flash in recovery

What do u mean calls shut off screen? I'm interested in the rom and want to use it for daily driver and how's battery life?

that was fixed.
I did not have the sensors.so file properly ported in. And when the light sensor was activated because of a phone call it would shut off the screen (almost like it should have) but then take very long before it came back on. I solved it in the current release.
I have been using this rom on my phone since I got it running just over one month ago.
and battery life is great for me.
I can almost go two day between charges with moderate use. And if I'm on the web all day long I can still get over 14 hrs.
for example. this weekend I have been on my laptop and not on phone too much.
charged phone 31 hours ago and battery is now at 54% with expected 36 more hours of use.

So I'm using the rom now and I am having no issues with recording or using the camera. Last I thought it was having issues. Any comments on that?
---------- Post added at 07:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:44 PM ----------
X that last comment. It's not real stable? What is the issues? My camera had to be changed resolution but works great.

It was about 1 out of 5 times opening the camera it would fail to load, and need to be rebooted for camera to work.
That was when I put the up for sharing.
But then after first few weeks of running this rom and using camera, it has not given issue.
I did not change the resolution. YMMV.

So I started messing with the camera and I did notice that the camera is pretty glitchy when u record it then play it. I was wondering if there is any way to help try to fix it. My daughter has her first bday on Saturday.

I don't have any more information for you.

Good question . I am also experiencing the same issue with regards to the glitchy playback after recording a video

Maybe try a different camera program(open camera)
I just did factory reset and started fresh with my phone again. The camera app would not even open. It just kept crashing. But I noticed that camera worked fine in messenger. So I installed open camera , and so far have had much better results.

What is open camera and where do I find it?

not 64 bit, stock kernel is 32 bit, so this having stock kernel, it must remain 32 bit rom

hey @mrmazak are there possibilities of 8.1 in this phone? thanks for the rom too

I have a Go Phone sim card in my phone and couldn't get mobile data to work even after adding the Go phone APNs. Everything else seemed to work though and it was pretty fast and smooth. If I could've gotten mobile data working I would have kept running it.

AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, the Rom has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
With the rebrand of CM to LineageOS (LAOS) we are now actually LAOS based with some tweaks from AOSP.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or the LAOS team will if it concerns their code base. This rom isn't LAOS supported, so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

GApps: http://opengapps.org

I recommend Lawnchair launcher:-https://github.com/Deletescape-Media/Lawnchair/releases/tag/238
Nothing!
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Nougat. You don't need to install any Add-Ons, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended)
3. Wipe system, Cache, data and ART/Dalvik cache
4. Flash ROM Zipfile
5. Flash/Install GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work)
6. Flash/Install the root solution of choice (optional)
7. Reboot to system

Commonly asked questions & answers:
Q: Why am I getting "error cannot read" while attempting to sideload the ROM
Spoiler: Answer
Well, you should be using the latest platform-tools and have it added to PATH. A lot of unofficial drivers floating around on the internet install outdated adb/fastboot along with the drivers. Please refrain from installing these as well as minimal adb & fastboot; Use the official google driver and official platform-tools instead.
Alternatively you can prefix each adb/fastboot cmd with ./ while in the platform-tools folder via powershell or bash, etc.
For example:
./adb sideload ./rom.zip
This basically tells the shell "Hey, I want to execute this local binary rather than the one in PATH".
Q: I'm a windows user and my device is not being listed when I run adb/fastboot devices. I'm using the latest platform-tools, what could be the reason for this?
Spoiler: Answer
Use the official Google USB driver
Q: I'm a linux user and my device is not being listed when I run adb/fastboot devices. I'm using the latest platform-tools, what could be the reason for this?
Spoiler: Answer
Set up udev rules
Q: Why is MTP and/or Android Auto not working?
Spoiler: Answer
Set the default USB configuration in Settings > The Evolver > Miscellaneous > USB Configuration
Don't see your question? Well, feel free to post a comment in this thread, we will reply as soon as we can. We'd appreciate if users used XDA FIRST and the telegram group as a LAST RESORT.
To be continued (I'm sure).
Custom Kernels:
Custom kernels may be flashed at YOUR OWN RISK. However, we will not provide extended support regarding such and it is up to YOU, the end user to make your reports in the appropriate thread for X kernel, not in this thread.
Obtaining root:
Let it be known that we will not assist anyone with bug reports until they have disabled all modules and restored to the default, unpatched kernel that is shipped with the ROM!
Root can be obtained by either one of the following methods.
Spoiler: Method 1 (flashing magisk.apk/zip)
1. Download the Magisk.apk on your pc (you can change the file extension to .zip if you wish, though it is not required).
2. Reboot to recovery
3. Navigate to Apply update -> Apply from ADB
4. adb sideload magisk.apk (replace "magisk" with actual filename)
Spoiler: Method 2 (patching boot.img)
1. Download the full rom.zip from post #2 of this thread
2. Download payload-dumper-go that corresponds to the architecture of your pc
3. Run payload-dumper-go against the rom.zip
4. Grab boot.img from the extracted folder and transfer it to your device
5. Patch the boot.img with the magisk application and transfer the patched image to your pc
6. Reboot to bootloader
7. fastboot flash boot boot.img (replace "boot" with actual filename)
Retaining root across OTA updates:
When an OTA update is available, let it download and install. Before rebooting simply open Magisk Manager and click on the first "install" button and select "install to inactive slot". Once it's done, reboot and enjoy.
Reporting bugs and submitting logs:
In most cases logs should be provided when reporting bugs. This can be done by enabling USB debugging in developer options of the device, connecting it to your PC and running one of the following cmds depending on the type of bug/issue while reproducing it:
General system log
adb logcat > logcat.txt
Kernel log
adb shell su -c dmesg > dmesg.log
Please provide a detailed description of the bug/issue as well as link/upload the log you had taken.
There are exceptions to this as some issues are unable to be caught in logs. In this case, it is expected that users provide clear and accurate steps to reproduce the issue.
Getting involved in the development:
We've set everything up in such a way where all you need to do is install AOSP build dependencies, initialize a repo client, init the tiramisu branch of our manifest, sync the code and lunch your device (e.g lunch evolution_instantnoodlep-userdebug); Roomservice will automatically sync all device specific dependencies for you to compile without error. There is no need to manually clone anything due to this and applies to OnePlus 6, 6T, 7, 7 Pro, 7T, 7T Pro, 8, 8 Pro, 8T, 9R, 9 & 9 Pro (enchilada, fajita, guacamoleb, guacamole, hotdogb, hotdog, instantnoodle, instantnoodlep, kebab, lemonades, lemonade & lemonadep).
Device and ROM source changes can be submitted on github to the appropriate repositories by making pull requests via comparing forks. Please follow the google patch format for commits and triple check your changes by compile testing and verifying they're correct. Please retain proper authorship if you are not the author!

Lineage 18.1 twrp is only aa11 support
Safety net no pass
Only Issues I have are the default camera app not working(not a big deal) and no sound for alarms and incoming phone call alerts.
I already have lineageOSR installed as I am currently using stagOS. Can I flash by doing factory reset first and then apply update?
Can you try changing the alarm sound and ringtone from the sound settings and report back?

Yes me too , No sound for the incoming calls !!!
I've also noticed that data has been pretty bad on T-Mobile, not sure if that is a ROM thing or just how android 12 just deals with networking. Areas which I used to have decent LTE and 5G connections are just either completely dead or 3G now. I noticed switching airplane mode on and off will give me connection again for about 10 seconds and then it switches back.
I use this daily since release, it s a master piece.
Things i want to report are screen flickering on fingerprint, slow fingerprint read (sometimes needs even 5-6 tries and no BEEP when i m calling someone). There are some SOUNDS (alarms or ringtones), that doesnt work, but there some that does. So there s no big deal for me. 9/10 until now and xDD

Do some research first and expect nothing, it s called alpha because it s the first release on regular 9 and wasnt tested as much as the 9 Pro build was. Want more? Send them a regular 9.
