hi firstly sorry if this is in the wrong place, ive got a Samsung s7 edge (uk Vodafone) its rooted all was well until yesterday I was going to factory reset it so I thought id plug it into pc and put all photos etc on there before reset so I plugged usb in and it didn't pop up as it usually would it only started charging so I tried different usb port and lead even another pc but to no avail, so went in settings turned usb debugging off and back on still nothing tried everything I could find online to solve this issue but nothing worked so I turned the phone off then back on and it now says "custom binary blocked by frp lock" the phone will go into odin mode but wont show up on pc when usb is connected also tried smart switch it wont show up on there either so I'm stumped any help will be gratefully received thanks in advance.

has stop being recongnized by pc, i almost tries anything i know and find on net.
The pc doesn't recongnise it on device manager (i have a win 7 pc), the phone however react as pluged in a charger.
their is no mtp or mass storage switch on notification.
i have reinstall the driver of samsung several times with smart switch & also made it manual by suppressing directrly the samsung usb driver from programs on control panel then reinstall it but no hope.
I can't figure out eitheir its hard or soft.
i had change my cable & also test my pc with another Galaxy s6 it works fine, but mine no.
i have made wipe cache / factory reset also made an initialisation from parameters the phone is formated but not recognised by the pc also test it on another pc but the same behaviour windows pcs doesn't recognise my phone.
However, i figure out that when its on the restore mode (volume down + lock + home) the pc recognise it by Odin and smart switch.
i install the same rom on it also made an emergency restore with S/N and model and the process completes fine with smart switch and i saw the donwload progress bar completing on my phone.
but still i m stuck its not recognised please help !!!
i tries to use *#0808# and its on AP / MTP + ADB but no hope
i plug it on ADB android studio but the device list is empty :'(

i have done as asked but still no usb detection even after reinstalling usb driver

i used different cables and pcs but still not recognised

it has taking some while to execute but after that my phone was working and detectable again by my pc the problem was resolved for a couple of hours, in the evening the problem occured again.
and i have tried the process again the same why but no connection at all.
i don't know if its a hardware problem or software related problem
because the usb work when i m in restore mode (Odin mode) otherwise no.
Its an advance problem i already check all about usb / cable and pcs related problem.

I sent my S6 to Samsung SAV it take them 4 days.
they doesn't give me proper answers on what they have done but i saw that my mini-usb plug is new so i expect that they got this part changed accrodingly the samsung has no sign of damage its a clean operation.
Its now detectable. It was indeed a Hardware problem
i have the same issue but in a g928f
today i changer my lcd with the micro usb flex
so all is new except the main board and still is not recognised at any pc with any cable.
i am really starting to feel very sorry for this phone.
odin does not see it at all even at download mode.
i don't know what else to do.
Software or Hardware Issue
I have a s6 920t that I am suppose to pay for at the end of the day. I got it from a friend who bought it while overseas. The only time my computer detects it is in download mode/odin mode, I hear the sound and I see it as "Added". When I try to connect any other way I don't hear the sound my laptop makes when it has detected a new device also otg cables don't work. I just simply want to know if this a software or a hardware issue? Software I can fix but if it is hardware I don't want to waste my money. Please anyone reply as soon as you can so I can decide what to do.

I have two S6 Edge and one of them started doing this (phone only appears on USB when in Download mode). When swapping the motherboard between the phones, it works. So the problem isn't with the motherboard, but the USB connection module attached with the ribbon cable... There must be a chip on the module which gets locked somehow and replacing the board is at least one way to fix it. Hopefully someone finds another method without replacing the charger board?
I recently rooted my phone and soon after (unrelated i believe) i think my phone stopped connecting to a computer with a data cable. It still charged fine. It might be related to when i bought it from a person on craigslist it had dirt stuck in the headphone jack, usb port, and speaker holes. I cleaned it all out with a push pin and maybe I somehow messed up the pins on the usb port? Anyway, I thought maybe a reboot would fix the problem, and when it rebooted i got the "Fix custom binary block by FRP lock" error. (i'm wondering if i accidentally turned off OEM unlocking). I read online how to fix it, however the ways I found all required connecting my phone to my computer with a data cable. I even tried to format/wipe my phone but when it boots i still get the error. Is there anything I can do? I don't KNOW that my usb port is messed up, but that was just a theory, but when I connect it to the computer with ODIN3 or Kies3 it doesnt do anything. Greetings and welcome to assist. Unfortunately i don't know of anyway to remove frp without the use of a pc, have you tried a different usb lead ?

Thank you for the reply, yes I have tried many different USB cables. Do you think it could be a hardware issue? would a cable charge a phone but not work as data if the pins got messed up or something?

So I have a strange problem, a while back I discovered that I can't connect my S6 to my computer and or other computers, whatever usb cable I use the device is not detected at all. and only charging works.
I already tried more USB cables and validated they work with other devices, I also discovered the USB is not detected in fastboot mode, so I can't flash any images anymore over USB.
I also discovered that I might have flashed a wrong stock rom a few months back and I never tried to connect it to the USB in the meanwhile, when I trace the baseband version it says it's Asian..:crying: And this device is a dutch PHN. The device has ADB working over WIFI and root enabled, it also has TWRP installed and even there MTP is not working!
However i'm afraid there is no way I can flash a stock rom back to the device without a working fastboot, unless there are flashable zips.
What do you guys think?

I can´t belive it, someone who has the same problem then me. A little wierd is that I got 2 phones here.... Got my S6 which I´m using atm and some days ago a friend gave me a A5. Actually the A5 has exactly the same problem and one more problem is, that the "Home Button" of the phone is not working. No chance to root it at all.
It was like this.... I came back home with the A5 and first I thought about was rooting it. Restarted and tryed to go into "Recovery Mode" which wasn´t working, same as going into "Download Mode". So my first thought was that some of the buttons arn´t working. I was right, it was the home button which is without any function. My next idea was rooting over Laptop with Odin. Enabled USB Debbuging, connected a data cable..... and usb connection was not working... only charging!
After like a minute of trying and no success I wen´t eat first. When I came back i tryed again and USB Debbuging asked me to accept the Laptop. (Till now I didn´t thought about that it could be my first and my last time I will have a working USB connection.)
I wen´t into "Recovery Mode" thought about restarting cuz I wanted to go into "Download Mode". So I restarted and that was FATAL.... since then I had no chance anymore till yet to get a working USB connection. No matter which PC, Laptop, USB / Data-Cabel. And since the "Home Button" is not working, I don´t even know how to get Root.
Right now I´m asking myself if it could be a Firmware related problem?! I mean, when my friend gave me the phone there wasn´t the newest update installed on it so I just updated it. It´s a A500FU running stock Android 6.0.1 newest DBT Firmware..... and also I´m not able to change it without having a working USB connection.

I ordered a new USB port board, will let you know the results!
Any results after changing the usb port?
Did fast charge still work for you? And this replacing the USB port work? I think this is related to a broken USB ic. For me replacing the USB port didn't help
Sometimes it's a bad charging port and / or liquid damage to the charging port.
If your home button clicks but does not work it could be liquid damage near the home button. Same goes for power and volume buttons.
I just fixed a S6 edge plus yesterday power button not working, liquid damage all around power button area, fixed burnt components and corroded pins.

I have bought a new Samsung Note 8 and took the sim Card from the S8+ out and changed it to the Note 8.
The S8+ is rooted and the ROM from CARHD is flashed.
After the new boot from my S8+ there stands in small letters : CUSTOM BINARY BLOCKED BY FRP
After that the S8+ powers down.
I thought no problem and wanted to initialize the S8+ with smart switch.
and now the problem : The S8+ does not connect to any PC in download mode. And i can not boot into recovery mode.
I tried it on 3 different PC´s with the original cable installed all drivers completly new. But no detection anymore. (unknown USB device)
The Note 8 is always detected but not the S8+
Does anybody have an solution for this or is the phone completly dead ?
I don´t know how i can try to get on.... I would be happy for every help or solution i could try.

Can you boot to the download screen? You get to it by using the bixby+vol down+power. If so, you can use Odin to install an official rom or install twrp recovery and install a custom rom

I can boot to download mode but the PC does not detect the phone right...it is always unknown usb device. That´s the big Problem. So i am not able to Flash anything.
Only suggestions would be to either uninstall and the re-install the Samsung mobile drivers on your 'puter or try another 'puter if you have one. Sounds like it's related to the pc and not the phone.
If you have read what i have written ... I tried it on 3 differnet PC´s and every other phone is detected. I think the phone is dead. I reinstalled also all Drivers.
The only way to get out of it is to find a way to detect the phone again.
OK - when you are in download mode and connected to Odin, does your phone show up as an activated ID COM port?

Today I enable OEM lock on my S8+ and rebooted phone. Now i have problem with FRP lock "custom binary blocked frp" + i can't connect phone to PC cause windows won't recognize it. I tried to install kies, smart switch, samsung USB drivers, google drivers. I even tried deferent cables and ports in 3 of my pc's ( 2 Win 10, 1 Win 7) nothing is working i cant get phone to show up in odin.
Is there something that i missed?
Pleas help my fix this bad boy.
