No notifications after watch mode if I don't restart again - Huawei Watch 2

I have more than one watch. And when I don't use my Huawei watch 2 I have tested to set it into watch mode. When I want to use it again I turn it on again to normal mode. The watch starts app as it does when it has been powered off. Back again and running I have to restart my watch again before the notifications will work again. Must be some kind of a bug

And another sad thing is that after restart of the watch, it has forget that I have disabled tilt to wake screen. So now it is enabled again and I have to disabled again.

Night Mode?

Smartphone 2 new owner here.
I am trying to find out if there is a Night Mode for the SW2? I often spend nights away from home on business. I need to look at my watch during the night sometimes to check if it's time to catch an early flight. Is there anyway to switch on a Night Mode that stops the watch vibrating and stops the screen automatically lighting up with notifications?
I know I can turn off vibrate and bluetooth manually, but then I don't get notifications stored, and I have to remember to turn them back on when I want normal operation.
It would be nice to have Alarm notifications operate normally (light and vibrate), whilst other notifications come through, but don't light ot vibrate.
Anyone have any suggestions please?
Disable Bluetooth on the smartphone, it's easier.
You can set also a scheduled profile on the phone that at night turns off the Bluetooth and at morning turns it on.

Many thanks TMI. The simplest solutions are often the best
One more question please... Do I need an app for schedulng this (Blocking Mode doesn't seem to control Bluetooth). And, if so, does anyone recommend a simple app for scheduling bluetooth on/off?
Thank you.
There are many free profile scheduling apps on the Play Store
Some examples:

Search Play Store with the keywords time profile for more apps.

Buggy "Always On" Mode on Samsung Gear S2

When I turn on the "Always On" mode in settings the "just two watch hands" mode sputters (flashing a couple of times) on the screen. Within a second or two the full watch screen then reappears. If I set the watch down on a flat surface, a variant of the same thing happens: the two watch hands (only) will appear for a second or two, then sputter and then the screen goes blank. If I use a digital watch face, it's the same thing except it is the numeric time values in black and white that sputter on and off. I have done a factory reset and it didn't help. If I have an app loaded up, same thing: the screen dims, the watch face sputters on then off again and the app lights back up. I called Samsung tech support and they are a complete joke. I thought that in "Always On" mode you would see just the dimmed watch hands and nothing else most when in watch mode. Help!
For me the Always on works fine with Samsung watch faces, however it behaves erratically with custom watch faces.

Interesting. I've tried it with several of the stock watch faces and with a couple from Mr. Time Maker and they all have the same problem. So, when "Always On" is "On" what happens if you just sit the watch down on a table or something? Does it stay on or does it need to somehow recognize that it is on a wrist? And, do you see just the watch hands when the watch is "idle" and then the full watch screen appears when you lift the phone towards your line of sight? Just trying to get a proper diagnosis here - thanks for your help!
I'm thinking you also have the Wake-up Gesture under the Device setting turned on. If so, these both being turned on can compete with each other. Try turning that off, and see if you like the results. Also, to save battery, the always on watch hands will turn off if the watch senses you set it on a table. Apparently, they will also turn off if you remain still for a prolonged period (30 or 60 minutes?), like laying on a couch or bed.

I was really hoping that you had the solution - seems logical. Alas, I tried turning off the wake up gesture and am still having the same problem. Thanks so much for taking the time to try to help out,

How would you expect it to behave? I ask because, unless I'm misinterpreting what you are saying, mine does the same thing, but this is how I would expect (and want) it to work.
It seems to me maybe you expect "Always On" model to suppress the display of the full watch screen even the the wake up gesture is enabled and activated. If that is the case, then what you are expecting is inconsistent with the design.

I think that you were misinterpreting what I was trying to describe. However, now, for whatever reason, I did another factory reset and it is working correctly and as you described. Thanks for taking the time to assist me!

Glad it is working correctly.
I wasn't having your problem but I thought mine was fudged too when I was first playing with it. With it in my hands the ambient mode kept going from screen off to dim w/ the hour/minute hands.
I figured out later it tires to sense when you set the watch down. If you are playing with it, it gets confused. If you set it down on a surface, the screen will go off in ambient mode but will keep the screen lit up when wearing it.
I can't say I have the same problem (Regular Model, Don't use Always On Mode) but another possible reason for it to act erratic when its off your wrist is the watch constantly detects your body to make sure it is on you, this comes into play especially for the auto unlock screen feature for your phone as well as when NFC payments through the watch become available.
Same for me, mine is set to "Always On" is "On", "wake up gesture" is Off, watch face is Modern Utility or BALR, I have it on my wrist and I have two issues:
- When I turn my wrist (to look at the watch) it isn't showing the full display. Have to use a button or the "ring" for this. It worked for several days and then it stopped working. I have done a factory reset already. Seemed to work for a few minutes and then it got confused again.
- Occasionally it even doesn't show the watch hands when in "ambient" mode.
My expectations are:
- "Always On" shows watch face, dial and hands, ALWAYS
- "Aways On" is "Off" shows black screen and when looking at the watch is automatically turns on. Some "smart" watch faces show only dials when screen is "Off"
- "wake up gesture" should not have any impact.
Guys (Gals?), if You want to keep the display turned on all the time, just install 'I am alive' app and have it running in the background.

There are 3 ways to reset the watch:
1- Light Reset
- Factory Reset
2- with restore previous settings & Apps
3- without restoring previous settings & Apps
Using reset-2 did not fix the "Buggy - Always On" issue
Using reset-3 did fix the "Buggy - Always On" issue.

The wake up gesture is initiated by the accelerometer, meaning any movement will wake the watch.

But that is not how it is supposed to work. "Always On" is suppose to show only hands, except with you use the wake up gesture (and that feature is enabled) at which point it will show hands and full watch face.

Thank You, finally. I said before - just use 'I am alive'. Standard option is not for that...
Just searched and found this thread, had the same issue, turns out the on body detection is the cause, as in if it's not on you it will go off, if you have it on it stays on as in the boring watch hands

Wishlist?

After about a week with my Gear S3 Frontier LTE, there are few things I think I'd like changed.
Is there a way to submit these to Samsung?
Anyway:
1. To conserve power, I turn off NFC usually, Yes, the Samsung Pay app has a means to prompt one to turn ON on NFC should it be off when trying to pay, but it does then stay on....
The watch should really have an option to auto-turn on NFC when using Samsung Pay (triggered by the 'pay' button after selecting the card) and then disable it automatically again when payment has finished (maybe a timeout of 2 minutes or such)
2. I notice that when turning on BT, it makes the watch 'visible' to devices around? Can that be turned off? I usually only want to make it connect to my phone and BT headset
3. I usually wear my watch on the inside of my wrist (old habit). I noticed that sometimes I accidentally clicked something. A screen lock (need to long-click ) would be nice.

Question DnD turns off in all modes

Hi,
I received my Asus rog phone 5 just over a week ago, but I am having issues with DnD. I have 2 schedules. 1 is from 20.30 to 5.40 for work and another is 21.00 to 9.00 for the weekend. Both were originally transferred over from my Samsung note 9. The problem is that DnD will start at the chosen times, but for some reason that I can't work out, it will just turn off. When I go back into DnD settings the schedule are there but DnD will not turn on. DnD will sometimes put the sound mode back to normal and recently it is going into vibrate. There is no warning, the icon for DnD will just turn off and no other problem will jump up from the phone. It just turns off. I do run sleep cycle but having that on or off doesn't have any effect on what DnD does.
I thought there might be issues with the transfer from my Samsung so I deleted all schedules and set them up again. Same issue. There is no exact time that I can tell when DnD turns off, but my Fitbit normally warns me around 21.00 that it is time to wind down. But Fitbit isn't the problem as I have seen DnD off before 21.00. I'm normally in bed before 21.00 so it's very annoying to be woken up my notifications when I'm almost sleep.
I've even tried digital wellness sleep schedule and the same thing happens. It turns the whole bedtime mode to off.
Last night I setup DnD to turn off only when I select it and turned off all schedules, but this morning when I woke DnD was off.
My phone has all the latest updates.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Question Wifi Keeps turning on every time i turn on the watch

I am going crazy with Watch 4 Classic.
every time I turn it on the wifi turns on automaticly although it is turned off before i turn off the watch (it always gives a pop up saying Wifi(Auto) whether i turn on or off.
I tried factory reset but the problem happened again
I had galaxy watch 3 and there were options of on/off/auto
I need to turn it off permanently and only works when i turn on.
thats beside the laggy disappointing performance. The watch is literally not usable for at least 3-5 minutes after turning on
Any help
Thanks
I found the problem....
It was the ADB debug over wifi enabled that keeps turning on the wifi with every boot
Thank you for this hint. I was just about to post the same. I found abnormal decrease of battery stamina - that was the reason.
