Can any one pls make it possible to use stock like android status bar and notification shade on miui 8/9. I tried material notification shade app but not satisfied with it. I have TWRP installed. Can any one pls make it possible. Thanks in advance ?
Why you are not satisfied, you have a miui rom with material notification shade. The next thing is to flash a los or aosp rom. Sorry but there is nothing in the middle.
I had the same problem. At the end I sticked with a miui rom like epic rom.
Miui notification shade sucks.

But stock notification is so quick and smooth. It consumes a lot of time. Miui notification shade is the worst part of it
The only solution would be to install an AOSP/CAF-based ROM altogether. To get what you want, you must replace MIUI's SystemUI (the notifications shade and statusbar are a part of it). But I don't think AOSP's SystemUI and MIUI are compatible with each other.

Wish there could be an xposed module or something else tweak.
I am at the same boat as you but otherwise, I want to use the aosp android but with miui status bar and notification settings, I've tried almost anything besides actually doing it on my own, but as someone else said, I just don't think that miui and android are compatible to mod with each other..
Just wait for new MIUI notification shade guys... It will update soon.

i dont think it will be a soon.. xiaomi devs had a much time in miui 9 beta program to include this feature in system..but no they ignore that..they actually not fixed some double notification issue on some app like WhatsApp where we can see examle "67 new messages" X2
same problem on miui 8.5 and now in miui 9 without fixing that.
EDIT: after reading changelog on new 7.11.2 beta weakly miui9 i find they fixed double notification issue finally, but still no word for new notification shade.
Should I switch to RR Remix rom for better performance and stability?

Greetings.
So like many of you I enjoy having CRT animation on any ROM that I run. I also really enjoy the Cyanogenmod option to have a shortcut in the Notification bar to put the phone to sleep.
The app Screen off and Lock is free in the Play Store, and does exactly that. It allows you to place a shortcut on your notification bar and when used, can also provide you with that CRT animation that hasn't been added to Sense 4.0 ROMS as of yet.
So why post this? Well, I'm not too big of a fan of the Status bar icon that this app puts there when you choose the option to place a shortcut on the notification pulldown.
So, I hit up my buddy @akashptl and said, "Wouldn't it be nice if someone would just remove that icon on Screen off and Lock?" 10 minutes later, he sent me the apk with no status bar icon.
So what's here?
Screen off and Lock apk with a transparent icon in the status bar.
FYI:
The process of removing the status bar icon resulted in a transparent icon for the app itself. The text is still there and if you use ADWEX or Apex Launcher (or any other launcher that supports custom icons) you can actually modify the app icon to your liking anyhow, while keeping the transparent status bar icon.

3.32? You mean ics? I'm running it is sgh-t989 and ordroid 1.8.4 both ics roms. That's strange I just installed it like any other app. What rom exactly are you using and I'll see if I can get it to work.
Make sure you have "Unknown Sources" checked in the security settings in ics and in the "Applications" section in gingerbread.

its a DPI issue i believe.
dont know the fix, but nothign is "wrong" enough to worry about.
hopefully someone can tell you how to fix it.

That feature is built into PA so no need to download any 3rd party apps!

Yeah I figured it out, under the PA setting hit the menu button and select apps. From there you can assign the size of each app. The best one for GS3 is the smallest one which is 1.26p I believe (I switched to CleanRom 7). From there use the slider and bring it all the way to the right. Apply changes and you should be golden.
Until custom ROMs comes to Nexus 5, I want to change stock toogles.
Is this possible? Any mods?
Why a hell Google didn't include sound toggle for example?
The one toggle I always miss is auto-rotate. I'm in favor of a mod too.

When using Power Toggles widget, I have to be on right screen, with "toggles/tiles" you don't need to.
Widgetsoid has a customizable toggle bar that will attach nicely to the Nexus 5 notification bar. It´s free. Love it.

Cataclysm rom is extremely stable, and has the option to customize the quick settings toggles. It's like stock 4.4 with all the basic goodies like battery percent, reboot menu, etc.

ashot80 revived this old thread - and so I read your post. Just in case this issue is still unresolved, Power Toggles does have the option of showing the toggles in the notification bar, so it is available everywhere.
Xposed framework + gravitybox is also good

Just a personal opinion, I don't like the rounded corners (it causes graphical glitches and weird shadows)

Yes it works on both devices since they use basically the same software. Not everything will work on OOS though

Yes it should work on every phone at least partially. But no full support from me, I don't have the time to look into every rom.
Work on PA. Only thing that didn't work was getting rid of carriers info.
