Just move the apk to system/app, change permission to 644. No need to create a folder first.

I don't know if there a fix for this but its not the first time that happened this to me (not only on my current rom) some apps that use camera like cymera, instagram (using the instagram cam) procamera and others, the image that I get on screen is upside down, so its imposible to use them but the buttons of the app appears correctly, dont know if Im being clear. Has anyone encountered such problem? my current rom is legend 3.7 kk4 corn kernel

Many of these ROMs include hacked Camera.apk . Get some stock based ROM and extract Camera.apk from it.

The default camera app works ok, like I said there are only some apps that use camera that doesnt show correctly

Hi all, I have a Chinese clone of Galaxy S4 called No.1 S6 with MTK6589 Cpu and Android 4.2.1, well, I tried to replace some system app like contacts, phone dialer and messages with the same apps taken from the Slim bean 4.2.2 Rom for the Google Nexus 4 that has the same screen resolution. I odexed the slim bean apks with dexopt-wrapper as explained here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1462648, I signed them with auto-sign software, so I put them into system/app folder with right permissions, deleting old apks first, rebooted the phone, wiped cache in recovery and when the phone booted the apk I replaced was gone, so I wanna ask u if it's really possible to make this kind of replacement or I made a huge mistake, of course this is a noob that talks...

It's maybe an stupid question but, did you tried to install it normally? With the apkinstaller or filemanager.
Well, If it's to replace other apps. Uninstall it first and then try to install your port. Without any wipe or so.
Unfortunately these apks can't be installed as normal apks, the installation fails if u try, and I can't uninstall them neither because system apps have to be replaced manually in system/app folder. So the question was if the problem is with the odex file or the signature or if there is an absolute incompatibility between OS and the ported apks that I want to replace. I'm afraid that's not possibile at all because system apps have deep connections with the OS...

you can't replace apps from 4.2.1 with 4.2.2 thats your fault.
Well, I know there are other zip files in the forum, but do not work for me. I hope not to offend anyone.
I made this zip files and compiling information from many sides,
then I can not remember to thank for their contributions, I just Collect all into one.
I also hope you can help me if they find errors
Just install the. Zip with your favorite recovery.
The Location actions does not works , I have no Dockin, then i dont know if works
Maybe an off-topic, but since Llama is much more sophisticated, why bother with SmartActions ?

I have a small problem, I remove the folders:
/cust/"name of my provider"
/data/.op
And now every time I reboot the background of the lock screen is returned to the default one.
This happened after I uninstalled a few applications of system including the default launcher and replace it using nova launcher. It occurred to me to look where are the images of wallpaper to modify or add the I want to use, but can not find. Another option would be reset but im not sure if it works.

Heres an example of the dialer. All this was done using my phone only. Having issues with the lgres.apk so some stuff cant be themed .
How to install
Unzip zip file
Move to proper folder overwrithing old apks
Set permissions
Reboot
Only will work with cloudy lollipop rom
Not responsible for any issues this may cause your phone
Always make backups!!!!!!!

Nice the only reason i have been hesitating to move to cloudy was the lack of dark theme. Now looks like there is some progress
Id black out the whole rom but i cant get lgres to decomile on my phone. Gunna work on calendar n music soon

Use tickle my droid in pc.. It decompiles very well..
