Worked as it should. Pure stock rooted with some bloatware that can easily be deleted.

You did not explain how to install it
Through instal
Or through backup
Because I asked and did not really get an answer
So I went the way I understand
It was ZIP twice
I deleted everything and needed the file again

After repeated attempts without success
I tried to create some interest in the model H990
And I failed in a big way
So I decided to go with the flow and transfer to another phone

You didn't fail, I think the modding community just moved on from this device a long time ago, especially since the H990 got root almost a year after release when the V30 was beginning to be hyped up.
We can't thank you enough for trying, though. It's a shame that this phone didn't get the attention it deserved.

You saved me!
I would like to buy you a drink. You absolutely saved my phone!
I have an LG H990DS that was on firmware v10e-AME-XX.
Following emdroidles dirtysanta, I flashed firmware H990ds10d_00_OPEN_AME_DS_OP_1216.kdz. At step 17 I flashed h990-kernel.zip.
I ended up with a phone that would boot into TWRP but not into Android (It got stuck on the 2nd LG logo). I could use ADB and I could use Fastboot. I tried to use LGUP to reflash my firmware but download mode ended in a static screen. LGUP would not not recognise my model beyond H99010p. I tried the common.dll and the patched LGUP as well, I got nowhere.
Sadly I had not performed a backup first. After a lot of searching I got your backup to work. Here is how I did it:
1) Download the folder [2016-01-01--21-11-52_NRD90M] onto your microSD card.
2) Enter TWRP and perform a backup. (This creates a folder unique to your phone.)
3) Using TWRPs filemanager, copy the whole folder [2016-01-01--21-11-52_NRD90M] into /external_sd/TWRP/BACKUPS/[your phones serial number here]/
4)Using the phones back button you can return to the TWRP Restore menu. AVIMPEG's backup is then available for you to download.
I at least now have a working phone. I would still like to get LGUP to recognise my phone so that I can flash the correct firmware again. Any ideas are welcome.

[Q] Corupted system app. Please HELP!

Hy. My name is Steven. Yesterday i bought an Lg L Fino d290. I rooted it with purpledrake and i installed Titanium Backup. I restored some backups from my old phone (an Chinese one : Colorovo City Tone Vision). I restored Contact storage, Phone storage and some other apps. After I rebooted the phone an error pops up "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped". I tapped on "ok" and imediately it apeared again. I pressed ok again and still apeared again and again. I freaked out and i realised what I've done.. Then i delelted all app chache and rebooted the phone. Nthing changed. I entered in stock recovery mode ( i can't install cwm on my phone) and i whiped all data and cache. I rebooted the phone and nothing changed. The error dialogue is still there. I tryed to install Titanium Backup again to see what i can do but it didn't work because the error message poped up contiously. Even if i install the app from Magazine Play or from an apk file it doesn;t work. i have adb connection but not many commands are working. for example install.. I don't know what to do.. the phone keep showing me the error with and without the sim card. I can open the phone app and the contacts but i can't open the message app. Please help me. What shoul I do? I knnow i dit something wrong.. Excuse my bad english
Hello.
I don't know exactly what the problem is, but it seems as you states, that something is corrupted. Therefor i think it's better that you try to do a full restore with the LG software and reinstalling it. Try this link: http://www.downloads.techdiscussion.in/smartphones/lg-l-fino-pc-suite-and-usb-driver/.
yes, lvg2800 bro is right. u have to flash stock rom via pc.
Don't ever restore system data from one phone to another or one rom to another. They each handle this type of stuff differently. What happened is that when you restored you phone and contact data it used a different set up and corrupted your new device setup. Your gonna have to wipe the device now and start over. Lesson learned
question
How can i restore the firmware. the lg mobile supert tool tels me that is up to date and whe i click to repair it tells me that everything is ok... please from when can i get the stock rom

You could try wiping the data from the stuff you restored in TIBU. Or by doing a factory reset

Thank you very much for helping me. I stil have some questions. What does it mean "Note the number of firmware"? In LG Spupport Tool it tells me that is have the software D29010a and my phone is D290N. What does it mean that "10a"? On the site I gave you last time at HUN firmware version it writes "10b" not "10a" and "D290" not "D290N". Can I flash the HUN firmware or those details are important and I can't? Thank you!

I flashed TWRP and unlocked bootloader, I am on mha-l29c636b158. How can I return to completely stock? I want to receive updates via ota because I read that there is a new update to fix the touch screen not being responsive. Or is there a flashable stock zip update I can flash?

I spent that past two days rooting and flashing the one rom I could. Had to ignore some Chinese. I am USA 567B167. Got into trouble a number of times. This phone is funky compared to all the rooting I have done. I booted into erocovery, downloaded stock 2GB, wiped and was back to current stock without issue. It bootlooped if I didn't hard reset and wipe cache.

yes. I did it twice. that is how many times I got into trouble and was the only solution. It worked great as it gives you the ability to log into wifi with a keyboard present to put in the password, then downloads the stock current rom and flashes it. You have to format data and wipe cache yourself.
Miss Wugfresh root tool. Get you out of any trouble.

Erecovery only work for Chinese firmware.
Use the guide above and yes you can receive ota.
I also received the same message. Getting into recovery was inconsistent for me even with TWRP. Sometimes it would do the auto downloaded and fail thing and other times it would go into TWRP. You need to get where you have three choices and pick erocovery and push the start button. This brings up the restore ability. Worked perfect on the USA model.

Completely positive. It happened by accident because I got in a bad place with HRT rom. Came out completely stock and current when no upgrade need. Then I rooted stock and somehow lost gapps including keyboard. Did it again and back to stock. All in erecovery. No other programs or files. It did a 2.5GB download, flashed in Emui and rebooted like when I bought it.

Sorry for the no noob question: I just got my mate 9 and unlocked bootloader and rooted it. Recovery is TWRP 3.0.2-2.
Where do i find this erecovery? Couldn't see any download option in TWRP and even Google didn't know that term. Could anybody please explain step by step how to revert to stock (for the only sake of getting OTAs) once the phone has unlocked bootloader and is rooted using the method from xda with modified boot.img?
Or is it even possible to take OTAs while being rooted with system read only? On my previous phone, the Asus Zenfone 2 this was possible.
Thanks a lot

Thanks for the quick answer. Let me clearify what I understood : this erecovery is available only on the PC?
So basically I wait in rooted state until I receive the next OTA, don't take it but switch off the phone.
Then connect it to the PC and boot it up by holding the volume up + power key.
Then what happens exactly?

Well i actually got over the issue with the voice from Google and I have a keyboard now , but there are somethings out of place on my phone, like for example the clock is gone , my precious Notepad is gone as well along with all the important notes, before I attempted to root my device I made a full back up ( the root on my phone is terribly difficult, can't find a good guide that fits my need to do it safely.

And I want to get my clock back and more importantly to get the notes from notepad back :/

Its simple..but you need correct files to do it successfully..
Download correct stock firmware file
Correct I mean according to you model and build number.
The firmware number should be same or higher ..

No tool is needed , you just need to place the correct UPDATE.APP (downloaded from honor official site) in a folder called dload a
at the root of your SD card, shut down your phone then hold power + both volume buttons. When the phone is starting release the power button but keep holding volume buttons. It should start installing the firmware.
If it doesn't work you probably need to install a stock recovery and retry.
If the firmware you have chosen is the wrong one the phone won't accept it . (Upgrade failed)
Please take note that if the process succeed it will erase all your data, you should take a backup before
Good luck bro even if it isn't a tough process, and let us know the end of the story

Please take note that if the process succeed it will erase all your data, you should take a backup before
Good luck bro even if it isn't a tough process, and let us know the end of the story

I want to try to root and fix my phone before the weekend started so I can have fun, can I annoy you or anyone else with this?
I need to get help with two things, first get the flash on my FRD-L09 FRD-L09C185B387, emui 5 androids 7.0 and get my notepad and clock back, second, i need to root it, in the right way with no issues.
Thanks best regards
To root it you first need to install a clean ROM without missing apps. In order to do that you need to perform the dload method that I detailed previously.
Then unlock bootloader, flash TWRP, flash superSU and you're rooted

I bricked my S7... can it be fixed?

So I modded the hell out of my stock rom and eventually broke it. After failing to flash the stock firmware about 50 times I gave up and put Lineage OS on my phone. Eventually I decided I wanted to try putting the stock back on and somehow screwed up my IMEI crap and don't have a backup. Basically all my phone can do is run stock rom but without any mobile network support or the same thing with Lineage OS. I've spent hours trying to fix it but nothing's worked. I checked just about every guide I've been able to find and none of them work. the issue is either not fixed or there's some kind of an error/change during the process that makes it so I can't continue. I downloaded some combination file that is supposed to help fix the issue but it won't flash via ODIN like the guide says so i can't do that.
I really need this phone up and working again. Anyone got any ideas? As of right now I have a paper weight that I can browse the internet on.
Update: I fixed it by flashing Android 8.0.0 firmware onto my phone instead of 7.0.0. I'm not sure why that fixed it because even lineage OS couldn't get my IMEI number but it's working now.

Quickest way to solve the issue as you've found out is to flash latest stock for device. Bootloader was the source of your problems, once upgraded it cannot be downgraded no matter what. All these bull sh1t guides saying you can just end up with a bricked phone.
Now BACK UP your EFS partition so this doesn't happen again.

I am planning on install a One UI Based rom on my S7, my phone is running stock without any rood or something like this.
How to flash the Rom without making a stupid thing that will brick my phone? i mean how to start all the process from zero?
And another thing i wonder about, what is the IMEI thing that you guys talked about?

1. Go here to download TWRP an install it via ODIN,
https://twrp.me/Devices/Samsung/
2. In TWRP select backup and choose only EFS and back it up to your external card (preferably also to your PC)
that will backup your IMEI etc

Can't find matched carrier. Check NT-code: FFFFFF : 84

I had 10ulm and flashed it with the G710AWM and now every time I boot my phone i get:
WARNING: Current version is not available for user. Can't find matched carrier. Check NT-code: FFFFFF : 84
The phone works fine since it was unlocked, but I am getting a ton of calls go straight to voicemail and this may be the issue? How can I fix this?
any help appreciated. Thanks
also wifi calling is nowhere to be found under call settings. It seems like I don't have the setting on this version? thoughts
Don't bother pal, stick with the official rom, I had this same issue best option is to just stick with the same variant as your phone, might not be latest but it works good. FYI I have g710emw and was using g710em rom

You are probably right. What a pain to have to flash again and go back?
How are you guys backing up so that you just restore to the same phone you had without having to set up everything again?

I didn't restore, I tried out the rom first, and then just wiped it. What broke it for me was the wifi mac address somehow became lost while using it, maybe some software glitch only by flashing the same variant was I able to restore it.
Best to root and then backup and restore

Hey there, how do you do this KDZ with refurbish option? Will this mean flashing again anyways?
I was hoping that by now the official android 10 version from LG would be out for the unlocked 10ulm, but it seems that they will never update this phone for some reason. This was the Google Fi unlocked G7.
Suggestions please. Thanks

Thanks for replying.
I noticed you are the leader of the other thread I posted, so I will ask here so not to bug you too much
Will the choosing of refurbish option erase the serial or IMEI or anything else that I should be aware of?
Also, when you say flash again you mean using the canadian version correct? I was wondering about the Korean version vs the canadian and what advantage would there be in any.
If you could, please lead me to the instructions to flash again. When I did it, I used a guide from some dude on youtube and I can't find that again.
Also, read somewhere that the error at boot could be fixed by rooting and then changing something with the explorer app. Not sure if that is worth it. I just hate backing up and restoring to find I am logged out of most every app and all settings have to be set up again. It takes me hrs and I am not that technically savvy as you guys.
Thanks for your time and have a good evening.

Flash with the kdz you used before, Canadian firmware is better than Korean. In lgup select refurbish instead of partition dl. It won't tamper with your IMEI and you will loose all your data
Hi dapolicy,
I am done with the LG G7ULM since it will never be updated officially.
I really like having the fingerprint sensor on the back and it seems that the LG G8 is the last iteration of phones from LG with this feature and it is an upgrade from the G7.
It is cheap here in the US.
Which version of this phone should I look for? I will be using it on Mint Mobile, so an unlocked one sounds great and all, but then you see what happened to the G7 ULM that never got android 10 unless it was tied to a carrier.
So, what do you suggest I do so I can get the next couple of updates for android with the G8?
Thanks man!

If the firehose was available for the Wing/Velvet you can hex the FTM and fix the NT Code on the Wing. You can try the engineering service menu, but I highly doubt the IMPL is 0 under MID.
