[SOLVED] I bricked my Honor 8 I think, PLEASE HELP - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

So I was trying to switch over from supersu -> magisk and something happened and now I can only access erecovery (can't access twrp or when I boot normally I just get the honor logo there forever). When I tried downloading latest version I get an error. What can I do? Please help ASAP since this is my first phone and I don't wanna mess up already
*EDIT
I can actually boot into twrp and my PC can access my phone but the only thing in the storage is the folder "TWRP" which is empty.

I faced the same problem and I fixed it somehow but I don't remember how actually I did that. But I guess I did first format the device using twrp and then flashed the magisk agin.(try it, but I am not sure if it was that or not, i did that about 3-4 months ago)

I bricked my device when I went to twrp and did a wipe when I was trying to fix a bug where it said there was 0mb in storage.

[Q] TWRP recovery vanished from Huawei Y300!

Hi all,
I wanted to access TWRP on my Huawei Y300, so I switched the phone off and tried to boot into recovery... But to my horror the phone just froze on the startup logo and I was unable to enter TWRP (waited several minutes but nothing happened). I've repeated the same process several times but still can't enter recovery...
I haven't been messing around with the recovery recently... But it should be noted I erased both the external SD and internal SD on my phone yesterday, so I'm guessing this is the cause of the problem.
What should I do? Is TWRP completely gone or is it still there but inaccessible? Should I reflash TWRP through fastboot, or will that aggravate the problem?
Thanks so much for your help, happy New Year.

[Q] Encryption bricked my OPO

So I had been attempting to encrypt my phone for 2 days and finally today I did something and it started encryption. I had rooted the phone and had TWRP on it.
The encryption finished and it rebooted and now its stuck with the screen on the 1 logo. i can turn it off and go to the bootloader and TWRP but no matter what i do it won't let me flash anything. in TWRP I tried formatting the drive but that didn't do anything either, it keeps giving the error "Unable to mount drive"
I was trying to find an Odin type package for it but no go yet. Even LG had a flashing tool. Any ideas?
You can download the fastboot images from the official cyanogen site:

Yes, i did have the fastboot images but it wasn't letting me flash them.
Ok, so I think I wiped out the OS while wiping the phone earlier and that's why it wasn't going anywhere after the 1 logo.
What I now did was pushed down the Pacman ROM zip via TWRP to the local drive and flashed it and its booting now. I should be able to get the rest going.
heres how i handled that exact situation and got encryption working correctly on 11S

XT1033 - Something that i haven't seen in forever.

Hi, guys.
I picked this xt1033 and it had the microusb input damaged, so i replaced it, but since then, it got stucked on motorola logo.
I guessed that the system got corrupted and then i uploaded some new system. It went through nicely, but when it rebooted got stucked again. So, i'ved unlocked it bootloader (to start from zero) and re-locked it, putting a new system from the ground and apparently it ended well, but it got stucked again on logo (and later i've founded that it didn't lock). I've begin to put TWRP to install a custom rom on it (to see if i've could pass throgh that) and founded that my files was still there (EVEN AFTER I'VE UNLOCKED THE BOOTLOADER, who would've erased everything from inside), system, images and even whatsapp files. MTP Service give-me a taste of what was inside and everything was there, nothing corrupt.
So i'ved erased it and put a new rom, TWRP said it did it and was asking for reboot, so i did.
And it got stucked again and nothing was erased.
So the thing is, it's internal storage is freezed and i can't do anything with it.
Could you guys help me? Thanks in advance.
i may be wrong here... but i dont remember unlocking bootloader erased my data.... but it was long time ago...
coming back to your problem.. have you tried using repair option in twrp?
also try wiping all partitions and do a recovery reboot to see if it works

Click to collapse
Already done.
I could only enter TWRP by boot it on bootloader, not flashing ('cuz was impossible to write on memory and was saying that the flash was successful).
TWRP said it wipe it completely without any error, but it's was there.
And by ordering to reboot on Recovery Mode, it went back to original recovery and trying to erase from there do the same thing (said that was complete, but everything is still there).
Same problem here, this is a problem with emmc bricked

Help! I m stuck on bootloader screen.

So I was trying to root my oneplus 7 which had Android 10 but due to complexities I decided to downgrade it to 9.5 and flash twrp and root. Everything went well. But then I decided to upgrade again to Android 10 keeping the root. I flashed rom using twrp and then flashed twrp again using twrp. Then when I went in again to flash magisk after reboot, twrp showed me the partition error and it was showing me 0mb for internal storage. I searched up solution for it and found that changing partition to ext 4 and again to ext 2 might work...but it again showed me some partition error while doing so..(I think I erased system while doing this process by mistake) then all it was showing was "no os installed* then I slides to reboot and bang I m stuck on bootloader screen since then. No matter whatever I press (reboot, recovery, fastboot) I keep going back to bootloader screen. I m using Ubuntu and it's not not detecting my phone for adb push. I don't know what to do now. I m not able to access recovery and twrp. Please help

Hi .
If you after flash twrp installer click on reboot to system , your phone be soft break., Because you must click on reboot to recovery and after it flash magisk.

Fastboot loop in already rooted OnePlus 7 Pro

I've done a bit of digging but I'm on a time crunch, and frankly I don't want to dig myself in a deeper hole.
I was attempting to make a backup of my OnePlus 7 Pro prior to doing an OTA update while preserving root.
I was getting a "failed to mount" and "0mb storage" so I looked into fixes and found this:
How to Fix TWRP Unable to Mount Storage, Internal Storage 0MB - Appuals.com
Some TWRP users, especially those who install custom ROMs, sometimes run into an issue where TWRP will an error that reads “Unable to mount storage”. The
appuals.com
.
I followed this and got to the point where I attempted to change file system from ext4 to ext2 and back again.
After doing this however I got stuck in a bootloop.
I entered TWRP recovery and tried to mount and boot? to system, and now I'm totally stuck on a fastboot loop -- unable to access TWRP.
I have several tools on my laptop saved from the initial root process such as the Tool All In One and the MSM download tool.
I would just like some clear direction to proceed. I'd rather not have to essentially reset my device, as I'm pretty sure all my data is in the device but I think I'm in the wrong partition. I'm just not savvy enough to know how to get it without causing further issues.
Any help would be great. I'm leaving for a 12 hour shift now, so I can't do any more digging on my own.
Thanks in advance.
Lower TWRP version.. is the fix, but.. i dont known anything about the OnePlus serie
