to much advertisement in mx player pro v1.9.10

App: MX Player Pro (1.9.10)
Manufacturer: samsung
Model: SM-G955F
Brand: samsung
Version: 7.0 (REL)

Advertisements in purchased software are an unacceptable impertinence.
Advertisements in a paid application are unacceptable.
One does not pay for a Gold/Platinum/Premium/Pro version to still be bothered and harassed with f...g advertisements. I was just about to buy this application, but after a dozen important file formats no longer being supported, placing ads in a purchased version is too much impertinences to give an author incentives for.

How much do you playing before you get advertising?
I have not received any advertising yet.

MX Player Pro is the ad-free version.
There's actually no other difference between the free and "pro", except lack of ads.
Are you SURE you paid for that version?
Are you SURE you're not infected with some malware that is putting ads in your phone?

Pro version of the MX Player 1.9.x doesn't have ad modules. So, It can't show ads.
Kindly make sure that you are using pro version.
If you are using Pro can you just press the recent button & check whether ad belongs to MX Player Pro activity or not?
We are identified that some apps that have "draw over other apps" & "usage access" permissions are showing the ads on the top of other apps. Kindly let us know if you have any such apps. We will report such apps to Google Play Team.

MX Player Pro Downgrade.

Is there anyway to downgrade to an older version of MX Player Pro? Before the last update, when all my videos played properly and there wasn't a full screen ad every time i opened it.

]It seems that you are using a unofficial version. Pro version doesn't have ads at all. Even in Free veraion ads are in banner format which is basically displayed on the bottom of the list & very small in size. From where you have downloaded?

I downloaded it from the same place i bought it, The Play Store. The Same place that updates it, and yes it does have ads. Every time i open it, i get a full screen ad. And also when i open it back up after temporarily checking something else out. Anyway, do you have an answer to the downgrading question?

Can you share the screenshot of menu > help > about screen...? It will be better if you can share the apk file too? I will just check the integrity.
MX Player Pro doesn't contain ad modules & it can't show ads at all. You might have installed MX Player instead of MX Player Pro.

I'm using the free version. I'm not sure it started from which version but 1.8.15 has full screen ads which are very intrusive. Full screen ads appear whenever I launch the app or go back to the video list. Is this intended? Will installing an older apk make the ads return to banners?
Their latest version of MX Player is garbage, because to much ads. I will move to VLC.
Latest version looks like the project is took over by some scammer and they try to get as much add revenue as possible while it lasts.
New changes: Bug fixes
Result: full screen adds, extra adds in between list items and a new privacy agreement...
I don't mind adds but this is absurd. And what an a** way of hiding it behind 'bug fixes'.
Added negative review to play Store to warn others.
Goodbye MX, hello VLC

Uninstalled this past weekend. Ad blight plus a never-ending battle for AC3 audio made the decision for me. As if streaming ads weren't enough, video ad downloads are endless. Still unsure where I'll land but MX is dead to me.

What's the story with MXPlayer by J2 Interactive in 2018? It's all too fishy.

So I'm confused.
I've been using MX Player for over half a decade now. Just the one app, it's the only MX Player in my app history.
Their website is ( http://j2apps.com/ )
But lately it says "including MXPlay". WTF is MXPlay?
They deleted their facebook page that's listed in their Play Store page description.
Also ( https://www.facebook.com/MXPlayer/ ) -- was also deleted.
There are two other pages that haven't been validated by Facebook yet.
( https://www.facebook.com/MXPlay/ ) -- They just updated their page an hour ago with a new name and new logo and foreign language description.
Described as:
Code:
MXPlay - India ka favourite Entertainment app
MXPLAY·THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2018
India ka best video player ab banega India ka Maha entertainment app.
Enjoy 100,000 hours of entertainment for free only on MXPlay.
Update Now! Google Play Store: [url]http://goo.gl/3VU3h1[/url]
India? That's strange, because MX Player is made in Korea. India is only known for its scammers and more scammers.
Their webpage is ( http://www.mxplay.com ) and it's not accessible to people outside of India.
( https://www.facebook.com/mxplayerapp/ ) -- Also fairly active. Their website is http://www.mxplayer.io/
Code:
MX is the best video and music player for Android. This app is better because of its wide range of options
that fine tunes the playback of video and audio files for the best experience.
Pretty clean, familiar facebook page and website. No crazy foreign tongues or new logos, slogans or branding. I'm fairly inclined to believe this is the real deal, but it's not mentioned on the Play Store page.
So, help me out here. Do I need to uninstall MX Player and switch to VLC full time before I'm taken on a wild new ride I didn't sign up for?
It's all too fishy.
I received an email response from the developer. J2 Interactive (Korea) sold MX Player to a company in India. MX Player has been renamed to MXPlay, and is now a form of some India-only Netflix for providing movie streaming subscription services.

Times Internet Limited, India’s largest media house had acquired MX Player (https://techcrunch.com/2018/06/27/times-internet-buys-mx-player-for-140m/) a few months ago. We at MX Player have launched an OTT streaming service for Indian users that will give our users access to over 100,000 hours of great entertainment content across multiple languages and 20 original shows.
For all users outside India, we are still the same video player but better since the acquisition/investment has further strengthened our tech capabilities.
(https://www.facebook.com/mxplayerapp/) and (http://www.mxplayer.io/) is not the not the real MX Player, but just one of the many fake copies of MX Player.
We are working hard to address what users want and in making our video player the best in the world.
Please download our app from the Google Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mxtech.videoplayer.ad&hl=en_IN) and give us the opportunity to serve you better

Not all Indians are scammers
Man this is really sad knowing your mentality thinking all Indians are scammers when almost all the softwares and technology you are using is developed by many Indians out there.
Those scamming companies are actually outsourced to a few Indians but the profit goes to some guy/ company who is located outside India.
Dude I work in IT. I'm not a spam caller. There are millions of us getting paid like peanuts but keep on building most of the softwares you are using.
Stop this b.s.
Most of the Indian companies which acquires small foreign companies only help them and develop them. Not like many u.s companies who simply kill those companies by acquiring them to kill the competition.
Stop judging all with your pathetic mentality. It's not our fault that your parents taught you to hate on people without even thinking twice. Grow up. Atleast a bit.
Even many Indians work in this community. And you are using these so called "Indian scammer's" tip and help to solve your problems. But the hate will keep on coming. Nice bruh..
@a-raccoon "India is only known for its scammers and more scammers." really? you ignorant POS, incase you don't know

Why Free has more features than PRO?

Recently realized that MX Player PRO only hides advertisements, whereas MX Player FREE has free online videos and free online music support.
What's the point of purchasing the PRO version when more and more features are only available in FREE version. Can somebody please explain!
Screenshots attached below for reference.
I guess maybe because there are more free users than paid users and those features are not stable and optimized.
Whatever the case, as a pro user I really don't care about those things. I just want a video player, no more, and they should care to optimize the video watching experience more than add more features. Maybe they should include a switch to turn off those 'online media' if one day it comes to the pro version.

We understand your excitement to watch our exclusive online shows. However, we would like to clarify that the availability of certain new features is subject to our business decisions. Our online streaming platform is a value-added freemium service which relies on the revenue from the ads. So, it may not be feasible for us to make it completely adfree for one time Pro purchase at the moment.
The core value proposition of the Pro version is that it allows seamless viewing of your videos any ads while keeping the app lightweight with all the basic functionalities of our main app. And, we are also actively investing in building new features for the pro version as well. The development of features may take a while. Meanwhile, stay with us and show your continued support to MX.

This is a complaint about MX Player Pro

This is a complaint, or maybe a claim. I am a bit annoying, because as a user of the MX Player Pro, I see that the free version it is 3 versions up with respect to the payment version, and the fact that the free version is always several advanced versions is what bothers me the most, because I as a user of the Pro version I ask myself: Why does the free version receive updates often while the Pro version receives updates from time to time?
For most apps that have a payment version, his version number is equal or higher with respect to the free version. So now, while the PRO version is in version 1.15.9 it is unfair to see that the free version is in version 1.18.5 or as I said at the beginning 3 versions advanced with respect to the payment version. And could bet that if this doesn't change, for when version 1.18 arrive for the pro version, the free version will already be in version 1.21 or 1.22 or perhaps in a larger number.
Perhaps I invest badly my money at MX Player Pro when I see that the developer has more preference for the users of the free version? Why is MX Player Pro always is for below MX Player Free when it comes to the version number?
It's assumed that users of a payment version of any app are the first to receive updates, but now I see that this doesn't apply for MX Player Pro. ?
I'm making an assumption here, but I think most of their effort goes to the Indian video streaming service which their app is used for in the free version. The pro version doesn't have this service, it's a player only, so it likely does not need updates as often.

Thanks for sharing your concerns.
As rightly mentioned by @Sunspark, free version of the MX Player also includes some of our regionally restricted ad-supported services and ad-modules. So, MX Player may not be updated when there is a change related to the modules that only exists on our free version. Also, some new features may initially land on the free version so that we can monitor the stability issues and get it fixed before releasing them to our paid users. However, we will eventually merge all local player-related features to the Pro version once they reach stable level.
I have a question, why mx player Pro is not using Android 10 media controls in notification panel.
Please use the new media controls.

Mx Player Pro version lagging behind normal Mx Player

Why is the Pro not updated? Its still 1.20.7 when the free version is 1.24.0...
I paid 6 euro for this app today and now stuck with old version... =/
I am in the same boat, got the pro version but it is so outdated that it doesnt have local network (smb) functionality.
It seems mx player got bought out and now are indian streaming/social media platform.
And the most frustrating and unacceptable thing is that they don't even bother giving a reply to all those customers reporting this!
My pro version starts, but it requires constant confirmation and closes.
It is just a waste of money
