For those looking to have further adjustment to lower screen brightness values even lower and even adjust the color tones somewhat, I discovered a new free app in market called Screen adjuster
Not only can lower brightness all the way down to 0, but allows adjusting brightness contrast as well as red blue and green. It works great!
it is called screen adjust. Even has widget so you can preset a dark setting if you like and one press enables it.
I find this app extremely useful for night time reading where even with the night mode the white text is too bright.
That and while using my eee at night my wife always complains it's too bright.
i couldnĀ“t find the app. can you give me the download link please?
this is not a real screen adjustment, it runs *on top of the system* not only will it make your screen look like junk it will mak your homescreen scrolling laggy as hell, stay away

Actually screen filter runs on top. This actually really seems to darken it. I did notice lag one on home screen then home screen FC'd and after that it wokred fine. I sometimes get similar FC with out this app so not sure if it was to blame. All I know is I can now use my tablet in the dark without it being too bright.

I stand corrected it does run on top like screen filter. I tested during daytime and hadn't noticed. Either way it is another viable option.

Curious to know as well..
It'd be nice to be able to adjust the color saturation to make the GS 10.1
I made this app for educational purpose
Glad to hear if someone likes it
People with sgs2 like 'pseudo contrast'
I even didn't expect that it can be useful for someone ;0
Lags the tablet wouldnt reccomend this, example would be the scrolling of the home screen
On my SGS (and other smartphones) works great, but I try to look into what causes the problem on tablets
I like the initiative, good work!
New version released
Performance improved
I've had the HOS for a bit over a week now, and overall I really like it. I'm coming from a Samsung Galaxy S2, which I also liked, but I prefer this phone for the size and the camera. Plus, Sense has a lot of nice features that TouchWiz didn't.
I have a few issues I'm looking for help on; they may very well be user error:
- the camera seems to only have autoupload for facebook, flikr, and dropbox. Somehow on my S2 I was able to autoupload to picasaweb. Any ideas how I can do that with the HOS?
- I don't see an option to prevent wifi from scanning for available networks. I want to keep wifi on, but I want it only for the network I specify. The perceived continual scanning may be a hit on my battery, and I'd like to stop it. How do I do that?
- I've had 5 or 6 spontaneous reboots so far. They haven't happened at critical moments, fortunately. Not sure what causes them, but each time it has been while the phone was in my pocket, and I was driving.
- auto white balance - when I first start the camera for indoor shots, the pictures are red, like I'm shooting in hell. It takes about a minute for the auto white balance to adjust, which is aggravating. After that, the auto white balance seems to work fine. I can also set white balance to another setting instead of using auto. However, this delay somewhat negates the fast shooting advantages the camera offers. Anyone else seeing this?
Thanks all.
Not an expert but I will try...

Basically, yes. From what I have been seeing in the interwebs, this is kinda an issue with this phone.
Like I said, not an expert just trying to apply what I know to your situation.

Google plus uploads pictures to google plus which really is picasa anyway. It will upload automatically if you tell it to in settings.
It was google+
Thanks, you're exactly right - google+ has the options for uploading, including uploading all pix on the phone.
Anyone else having this issue? I believe the problem is only on RAW images or it could just be in certain conditions. I'll be sure to test this tomorrow.
These rings are on a bunch of the photos I shot today in Pro mode (raw photos)
Ideas? I'm also having issues with AF sometimes but I can't recreate those issues, they happen randomly.
I just took another shot and the JPG looks fine while the RAW file has the same red rings in it.
Anyone? I can replicate the problem with ease. Not sure what to do. The latest update didn't fix it.

Its certainly a halo but the cause I can only speculate. Try moving to point of light in a picture to different positions in the frame (take pictures with it in different positions). See if that moves the halo. I'm just trying to determine if it moves based on the source of light or if its in a fixed spot.

I got Tmobile to send me another phone under warranty and it does the same thing.
Hi, I bought the One Vision the day it came out and since then I noticed straight away, when you put a video in landscape mode, say YouTube or Google Photos, the phone automatically activates a kind of HDR/higher contrast mode, which is ugly, oversaturates the image, and make me lose a lot of detail, it's comparable to a beauty mode. Has any of you guys stumbled upon this? If so, how did you manage to solve it? Thanks

Yeah I noticed something similar. I don't think it depends on the screen orientation but rather just that this IPS panel doesn't have good colour reproduction.
I also noticed this, and I also think it's worse in landscape. I installed the app "Screen Balance" from the Play Store and set it to about 90% brightness. It improves the image quality to be less washed out, but still it is not perfect.
Hey all! I recently updated from Android 10 to Android 11 OOS 11.0.2.2 and I have a strange issue I didn't have before. On grey/blue backgrounds, the screen dims and changes color a little bit after not touching it for 4-5 seconds. I already submitted a bug report but I just wanted to see if others are having this issue. I do have a T Mobile device that's been converted to global, but again this issue wasn't present before. I can't report as to whether the issue happened on OOS updates previous because I just updated and got 11.0.2.2. I've also linked a short video here showing the issue. If you guys have any input at all, it's appreciated!
I may be having a similar issue. I am trying to view your video to see if it is the same problem. I have noticed that my color turns warm, as if the blue light filter was activated. It normally happens when I am trying to type in a field. In most situations, it happens when there is a lot of white being displayed.
I did not pay attention to the browser that I was using. It may be a Chrome issue, but that is only if we are experiencing the same thing.
Ok, so we are talking about two different things. But, your dim is very subtle, at lease as far as the camera is concerned. Does mine do the same thing? No idea. I probably never noticed.
However, are you using Adaptive Brightness or manual brightness? In my experience, OOS 11 came with a LOT of bugs. I've been getting screen orientation problems as of late, and it would lock my screen sideways depending on what I am doing. I do not use auto rotate, and I am certain that I didn't press the rotation button in the bottom right corner. Even if it showed up, it shouldn't have, as I was using my phone in portrait mode every time that bug showed up.
TL;DR: OOS 11 - YMMV.

So I have the same thing with the screen going super warm on white backgrounds too, primarily on web browsers. With the other issue it only happens with the brightness between 30-70% or so and the screen gets darker and the gamut seems to get a tad cooler but I've chalked these up to separate issues. No phone is without faults but it seems like Oneplus releases software without testing it at all.
Edit: I noticed the yellowing on Chrome, and nowhere else on the phone. Samsung internet does have the same issue
Yes, I have a slew of issues with Android 11. My problem is the fact that I like it a lot more than A10 w/OOS, sooo....I have no option but to tolerate them for the moment.
