Vodafone Smart V8 ROM
Alright the original ROM can be found on the official ZTE device Support website which you can find here: ztedevice.com/support
This would be useful if many users have already messed up their phone and still have access to stock recovery.
Since we have the firmware now it can progress onto TWRP being made for the smartphone. If anyone does attempt this please do remember to turn off the system updates, disable any logs or feedback logging which can be found in the phones settings -> about phone. Another thing is to remember to unlock the boot loader. This would be useful for rooting. I am not sure if Kingroot PC would root the phone since it does have a high success rate but the thing is Kingroot PC is very buggy. It can say that the root process failed but it actually rooted your phone successfully.
Please do remember that warranties will be void if someone does port the TWRP but if someone does port it post it here.
Sorry but I am a new member so I am having issues with links and etc so I will update this thread soon
Any news on ROMs and root yet?

Hallo everyone!
I am new to this board and i have a few questions.
I recently bought a Samsung i5800 with android 2.1. Unfortunately i have problems with the pin requesting (i read in forum, that this is a known issue, my provider seems to use a modified firmware, that causes the problems).
So i want to update my mobile because people in forums say, that this is fixed by updating to samsung original 2.1 or 2.2
However I read, that I should make a backup, before I do so.
So please can you give me instructions how I should start(with links)?
And do I need to root my phone? to do upgrading or to install an official firmware?
And how do I unlock my mobile for all sim cards?(In my Country Austria it's absolutely legal to unlock the sim card).
And shall i first root it and then upgrade or upgrade and root it?
And how do i do a backup without rooting?(I want to have this current system as backup, for warranty issues).
If possible, i want to do an upgrade without rooting.
Thanks for the answeres.

thanks slumpolo
I read this, but i dont know where to start ...
shall i root it first?(do I need to?) or shall i upgrade it first?
and there is no instruction for backups...
ok
I began with downloadin odin a.s.o
now i just noticed, that the download mode (vol- + home+ power when you turn the mobile off) is not working...
I bought my mobile 2 weeks ago from telering.
Is there a way to enable this download mode?(maybe as root?)
ok
now i rootet it, however i have the problem, that i cannot back it up
i tried clockwork recovery... with rom manager
I go to recover system, then it reboots and then i come to the recovery menu but there is no option for recovery...
is there any other way to recover a samsung galaxy 3 i5800?
I have been trying to root Lenovo-phab-pb1-750m and referred here http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/xda-assist/root-root-help-lenovo-phab-pb1-750m-plus-t3427518. Well so many deivices in the market are stable to root, why rooting would cause so many problems with this device. Is it dependent on the exploit or the method to gain root access so that device should remain stable to root, without any malfunction. Mine I have experienced hardware keys volume down and power button not responding trying after kingroot. Kingroot which modifies the stock recovery, we will not be able to accept OTA Updates after trying this. I got the issue fixed from an ASC as when I tried reflash using qfil I got sahara error and ended in bootloop.
My main concern is to gain root and it should with full support of su binaries with busy box. Many times it is required to unlock bootloader and install custom recoveries for this I didn't mind doing it. But there is no support officially nor in XDA. But I found one thread here http://www.unlock-bootloaders.racing/2016/10/lenovo-phab-8142.html not sure they are referring to this model but they are referring to XDA site but I can't find it in this site. Are they referring to this model lenovo-phab-pb1-750m in the above thread and can I try it on my device model.
However, I noticed that there is one latest method called systemless root here http://www.xda-developers.com/chainfire-releases-root-for-android-6-0-without-modifying-system/, Hence I want to upgrade to Android 6 and unlock its bootloader to try this. please advice how I can go about. In the mentioned link http://www.unlock-bootloaders.racing/2016/10/lenovo-phab-8142.html there is a method given to unlock the bootloader not sure this is for this model and am running lollipop version 5.1.1. Please check and provide me some info.
Dear Team,
This my first post. Apologies for any mistake.
I would like to know is there safe way to update my android smart TV LC-42LE860M(Full HD-3D-Android based v4.2.2)
There is no latest update from the Manufacturer.
Overall i have flashed modded ROMS of mobile phones so slightly aware of the tools.
As a initial step i thought of taking the complete backup before experimenting anything, but i faced following issues:
1- unable to root it- framaroot, kingo, vroot failed to root it.
2- without root TWRP not able to proceed or boot in recovery mode.
Kindly advise with the recommended steps or procedure.
With Warm Regards
Rehan

I don't have this device but, the following area of the forum is specific to your device.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5
With that stated...
This is not an easy question to answer because there's a handful of Custom Firmware releases that's specific to your J5 (2015) variant device.
The following is the area where you can locate many of the Custom Firmwares and don't be afraid to ask for some member guidance within the one you choose to install. Just be sure to read that threads OP (OP = Original Post, which means Post #1) first to prevent from asking a question already answered in it.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development
There's other Custom Firmware released in other areas but, that one is, typically, where they all should be for this variant.
I wish you the best of luck!

Hiee Guys ! I have used lots of android phones since 10 years and also familiar with them . I always try to root every phone but a problem is that every android phone cannot be rooted . So, please anyone tell me that how i can make root for any device and how i can make twrp for any device .
Thank You in Advance......
As far as compiling TWRP, you can start with this thread. Any device such as pixels upgraded to A10 don't have TWRP so because recovery has changed drastically and development of TWRP had not yet caught up.
Root is available for any device that is rootable. Magisk does a pretty good job of covering the bases and is under active development so properly reported issues are generally addressed.
Finding an exploit to be able to root a device is a different matter. Some, like pixels, are straightforward to root since if bought from Google (not a carrier directly) they have unlockable bootloaders allowing the installation of non-stock images. On a device that does not allow the bootloader to be unlocked, an exploit to achieve root must be found. That is often the issue combined with many of these devices do not attract developers to purchase them and thus no attempts are made.

If the device is a device that has a locked bootloader that can not be unlocked, you will not be able to use TWRP. These devices can only be rooted if there is a rooting app or rooting program available for PC or android that has an exploit that works on the device.
If the bootloader is locked, you won't be able to install TWRP or use TWRP to root the device and you will not be able to flash a Magisk patched boot.img to achieve root.
If there are no exploits available that are proven to work on the device, you won't be able to root the device.
