Well,I have some tips for you to...Modify or Make your phone looks better without flash a new ROM.
First of all,You need something:
Your device,I don't care what is it,Even a microwave.
Root(In order to modify something)
*Custom Recovery(That could help you root, too.)
(*Required root)
*Xposed Framework(Something can make your notification bar transparent,Mostly work on Samsung Phones[4.1.2+].)
*If you're a LG phone,You can use the app "Smartworld"..Browse and download themes you like.
So let get started.
#1:Nova Launcher+icons will be best choice for non-rooting and keeping your warranty's choice.
Also,Nova Launcher got performance on some bad spec phone like Single Core + 512MB RAM,Still can run smoothly.(Tested on S7392)
*Transparented notification bar available,But only the launcher, not in app.
Link:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1389071
So,Xposed+XTweakbox will be your choice(Not work on some phone like...Notification bar not included in launcher.)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So make sure you have a custom recovery before you do it.Because when the framework not compatible your device,You will stuck in a Bootloop...And if you don't ever heard what is bootloop,Leave this choice alone.:fingers-crossed:And i heard of safe mode in android could disable xposed framework,If you have a bootloop, try and comment down here..
Xposed can do many things,Like as i said above,Changing notification bar's color,Even set it as transparent...
Changing the signal thing's bar to 4-6...G-Touchwiz....etc

The easiest way is to Flash a custom ROM on your device with the new CM11 Theme Engine inside and then you´re able to apply icons packs , styles , keyboard styles , notification bar styles , quick settings styles , system settings app themed , fonts , lockscreens , sounds , wallpapers , whatsapp themed and much more!
I´m using ACIP ROM on my Samsung Galaxy S2 !
But i will get in 2-3 months my brand new LG G3 !
Gravity box, is the best module of xposed for personalice de phone

I agree with this. Seems easier and more functional to flash a custom ROM if youre going to all that trouble.
Good walk through though.
@Rohan27 if you need help with roms just PM or Whatsapp me

Gravity box is an all in one tool bro....
Why no one use Trebuchet Launcher ?
I use texdroider_dpi to change to 220dpi. Every launcher looks greater.
@brian0305
I use trebuchet launcher
Whenever you look to the stars, think of one of them as my soul.
I use nova on all my Android devices, has all the features I desire to modify my user experience as far as home screens are concerned. Xposed +Wanam gives me the ability to color what all black changes to a more grey theme.

@Veyne I use nova also on all my devices when there is no theme engine available in my custom roms.
But styling using theme engine is much better than ordinairy nova / go launcher themes .
Because theme engine will also change settings UI keyboard UI
And much more like bootanimation

There is a new launcher called SOLO LAUNCHER. It features the tap twice to switch off the screen and Google now! looks similar to S5 theme!
Hit thanks if found helpful!

So I was going through the exposed modules last night and came across Holo Themer. I went to the thread link on xda and saw a guy was using it on his G2. So I installed it and was able to get the Settings background to dark, but cant manage to get messaging and dialer to do the same. It's a cool app to tinker with. I have always liked the dark UI's on my Galaxy devices and want to do the same on the G3 without putting a custom ROM on. If anyone figures out any more to do with this module, as far as the UI, please let me know.
Hi everyone
I have a few questions and I have been searching for them on here but couldn't find the answer.
I have a rooted s8, with renovate 7.2 on it and magisk istalled.
I have also installed the framework.
I wanted to customise the AOD(Always On Display) and was wondering what is out there that can help me achieve that.
For example there's an app called Custom AOD, it allows you to get some background pictures but it's limited. I was wondering if I could add some widgets to it? I'd like to have a toggle button that allows me to turn the torch on/off, is this mod available?
Is there a compass widget for the AOD?
If anyone can provide links on all the AOD mods/widget that would be great?
Do you guys know what's the best place to get free substratum themes? playstore has a very limited number.
Thanks in advance.
Wings by timmods is really good and you can find it here on XDA, my favourite actually
Hey, guys.
I live in Canada and my provider is Virgin. I have a P20 with EMUI 9.0 (Android Pie) and I've been using the themes app fine even though I didn't have AppGallery or Huawei Mobile Services installed through 3rd party apps. I used to have options to look at more than my preset themes. Due to the recent US-Huawei ban, I have decided to try out the AppGallery and it installed Huawei Mobile Services app as well. Since Canada didn't show up as one of the regions, I have chosen UK as the region. I have lost all the abilities to change my themes since then. I have attached a screenshot of what my Themes homepage looks like. There is an option to customize but it still only shows stock options and no new installed themes and no way to theme the actual UI. Is there any way around this? I have also factory reset my phone and it didn't help.

Hi!
For theme downloads and theme editing I've tried the following apps:
Themes for Huawei / Honor / EMUI - This android app is not only for downloading themes but also for editing. You can modify every theme as you wish - change fonts, icons, emojies, colors.
Theme Editor For EMUI - This android app can import hwt files to edit them. It's not very user-friendly.
Huawei hwtTool - This windows/iOS software is a developer tool from Huawei Dev-Server. It can create and edit themes in the most comfortable way. Your PC.
I think you should try the first app first.
Greetings!
Thanks for these apps. But the problem that I have isn't that I cannot install themes. Once I install a custom theme, there isn't a way to apply it. I used to be able to see custom installed themes in the Huawei factory Themes app but now the options are gone.
As you can see in my original post, the preset themes are the only themes I can see. There used to be an option to choose "My Themes". After I choose Customize option, I get to change the wallpapers and icons but even with those options I only get preset themes.
I even tried to find a place to move a custom hwt file to where the preset themes are placed but couldn't find it.
This is super annoying since P20 doesn't come with native dark mode like the P20 Pro.

I'm having this same problem with my p20
Exact same problem here. Even tried using the Huawei mobile service but it just won't even start. Anyone having a workaround?
same prob here
I have the same issue, but I am sure it was a problem before I added app gallery (I chose Australia lol) and mobile services. It was because I couldn't change themes that I went searching for them in the first place.
I need a dark mode. Any updates?
Hello, tired of Samsung, I'm back to Google (I had stopped with the 5 model). I was wondering if there's any way to implement some of the modules of the Good Lock by Samsung. I found an old guide (2019) that suggested that it was possible using Fine Lock and and then installing the different modules using Split APK app.
Anyone knows anything about it or any new way to implement it? Some of the modules are nice to have (Task Changer, Clock to modify the AOD screen, Quickstar and some others).
Thanks
Luca
Good luck installing Good Lock.

None of those will be compatible on the Pixel. Samsung's OneUI is very different to Pixel's android flavor
