Try changing twrp version..
I tried a lot of versions TWRP. All does not work.
On my phone works only this three version dedicated to honor 8 https://eu.dl.twrp.me/frd/ , but it's without function format to f2fs
My phone is Honor 8 Lite (model PRA series), not exactly same as yours.
This works on my phone: at TWRP shell,
mkfs.f2fs /dev/block/mmcblk0pxx
where xx is the data partition number.

-from this time it didnt boot up anymore.
-i thougt i just have to flash a new rom so i made a data/cache wipe with clockworkMod
it says E:can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount/cache/recovery/log
E:Cant't mount/cache/recovery/last_log
-i tried to install a new rom but got the error (status1)
UPDATE: i was able to install "virtous unity rom " , hower it says "installation complete " but the above errors are displayed as well and my phone does not boot up.
From this point i knew i was in trouble.
- i tried to flash another recovery ( 4extrecovery)
can't get this done hower i tried it.
( when installing through clockworkMod it says status 7 i think
-i tried to flash another hboot version
can't get this done hower i tried it
-i tried RUU but in Windows and in hboot it gets stuck at "bootloader"
-i also tried to flash this "enghboot" but i was not able to do this .

hi
1) do you have os installed on your phone or not ? ( becauseyou said : Now phone stuck in bootloader loop, )
2) if your phone is not soft bricked so use this version of TWRP recovery ( google for twrp-2.7.0.5 ) and try to mount
3) if your phone is soft bricked do a nandroid backup through twrp (twrp-2.7.0.5 )
4) if you do not found all these both file ( twrp-2.7.0.5 and a Nandroid backup) tell me i give a link or wait for my Tuto about it
A few days ago I started getting an "Unfortunately the Process.com.android.phone Has Stopped" error. Desperate to avoid resetting my phone, I tried all of the suggestions (clearing caches, changing time settings, using Aroma, etc.) and nothing worked so I finally resigned myself to a factory reset :crying: , but I can't do that either. It's saying "Failed".
Some of the errors are:
Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer.
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
Unable to recreate /data/media folder.
On the storage screen - "Internal Storage (0 Mb)"
I also tried doing a cache and Dalvik cache wipe, but getting similar errors. Here's a screenshot (forgive the quality, on top of the OS crapping out the screen got cracked too).

Here's some additional info if necessary:
TWRP v. 3.1.0.0
Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge 327PSM-J327P SPHJ327SLV
Android Version: 6.0.1
Software Version: J327PVPU1AQF4
Build: mmb29m.j327pvpu1aqf4
I have the stock image files, but figured I'd ask for some help before I dig a deeper hole. Would appreciate any help and/or insight anyone might offer. Thanks!
Try reformatting the data partition (ext4) within the "Wipe" option in TWRP. Once formatted remount the data partition, clear cache/dalvik and reboot. If that doesn't work you will likely have to reinstall the firmware using Odin.
AWESOME THANKS!! Worked like a charm and reset to factory settings. I can go on with my life, lol. Really appreciate the help! :good::good::good:
I am trying to mount my System partition with write partitions on my Google Pixel (fully rooted with Magisk).
I have tried the following commands:
$ su
# mount -wo remount /
and I got the error
Code:
'/dev/root' is read-only
I also tried:
$ su
# mount -wo remount /system
And I got the error:
Code:
'/system' not in /proc/mounts
Also after flashing things in TWRP I get failed to mount /system
And failed to mount /vendor
Is there any way I can remount the partition with write permissions?
If not is there a Magisk module that can edit it Systemlessly?
EDIT: I've done some research and I found out that you can't mount the partition as rw so to edit the files you have to make a Magisk module that replaces the files with the modded versions.
Here is the solution to your problem my friends. Enjoy!
Works like a charm in Android 10 and later. Now my system, vendor and product partitions are read-write!
Use at your own risk!

While trying to flash a ROM or Wiping TWRP is giving me the "E001: Failed to update system image , failed to mount '/product' , '/system_root' , '/odm' , ' /vendor' errors.
Device: poco x2
Even tried orange fox, but cant load into the ROM, it again boots into orange fox.
you must format data every time you do anything with twrp or orangefox , because of decryption.
