There is absolutely nothing in this world that is "best".Something that maybe best for you,not necessarily best for others.Everyone has different priorities.Halogen Os with stock kernel has good battery life tho'.

I'm new android user and I started using galaxy tab 2 months ago . Many members advice to install a custom rom in order to get batter battery life wich is my biggest problem ! I saw many people talking about rom with kitkat version , some said that its a good one with good tweaks etc .. and other said that it has a big ram and battery usage .. so I felt so confused !
Another member advice me to install slim rom ! I actually found oldest version too like 4.2.x and 4.3.x but I'm still confused since I'm an amateur user .
After looking to many threads on this forum , I recognize that cm10.2 is the best one according to members .
All what I'm looking for is a rom with good battery life and good ram usage ! Any suggestion ?
I recommend [ ROM ] - Dhollmen Rom KIT-KAT 4.4.2 AOKP - 2014 03 04. It has great battery life and performance.:good:

I heard that Pac-Rom has good battery life. You could always make a backup and revert if you want! :laugh:
i use kitkat from slim kitkat :fingers-crossed:
with ai batery saver :good:
best rom??
it is depending on your preferences... the sensonic hd is a great rom with high customization and multiwindow feature... if you want jb rom then i will advice sungsonic hd... both has great audio tweaks too

Can you pls suggest the best rom if the aim is 1) best battery life and 2) stability. ? Is stock rom the best for this or will you suggest a custom rom.

My model is xt1033. Also if custom kernel is the way to go on stock rom, then pls suggest the best custom kernel.
So far, I'm using stock rom until now, I love the battery usage, i got 8 hours screen on time with 20 hours of standby.
with faux123 kernel and faux clock app.
If you wanna try a custom rom, i suggest Paranoid Android
the performance and battery life was good!
@OP, there is no such thing as a "best ROM/kernel". Everyone has different opinions/needs. The only way to find what's best for you is to head over to the dev sections and try a few, then decide for yourself which you liked the most.

cm12.1 is pretty good fast and bugg free for daily usage but then again havent tryed other roms so maybe there are better roms out there who knows

Hello,can anyone please tell me what the best custom roms and kernels are to use on my Z5 E6653? I have MROM installed but it seems that development for the rom has stopped. I am looking to try a new rom and kernel that is suited to giving me the best performance without killing the battery too much. Any suggestions for roms and kernels to try would be appreciated,thank you.
