My device is f3111 single sim on "3 UK" and the VoLTE appears to be enabled via the OEM partition.
If it exists on your ROM try add these lines to oem/system-properties/config.prop
Code:
persist.mtk_volte_support=1
persist.mtk_ims_support=1
persist.mtk.volte.enable=1
If this does not exist on your ROM try adding it to system/build.prop instead. :fingers-crossed:
Any one tried this??

What do you expect to see
1. Open your phone dialer and dial
Code:
*#*#4636#*#*
2. Choose Phone Information
3. Scroll down and find VoLTE provisioned and Slide the button to turn it on if not already.
4. Check your carrier setting and set Preferred Network accordingly.
5. Back out and reboot the phone.
Your Carrier must support Volte for it to work obviously :silly:

I am not sure about your carrier but what you have already "LTE" rather than 4G is what I would expect to see.
Simply make a voice call and see if it switches from LTE to gsm or H if it does not then VoLTE is working.
Make sure your in a area where VoLTE is available and try to confirm if it works.
I am pretty sure it will.
EDIT:
I just noticed you can confirm it's working by going to Phone Information as before and checking the "Voice Network Type:" it should say LTE as in this screenshot
XA and Ultra are not supported by Jio: https://www.jio.com/en-in/faq/servi...-true-4g-volte-enabled-devices-in-market.html

Yes the information is intact . As @rrvuhpg mentioned jio VoLTE is not supported by xa, because sony has restricted VoLTE services for indian users as u seen in the screenshot previously my VoLTE provisioned was set to disabled by default and after i followed the guide given by you i can see the VoLTE provision is in enabled status now i can see USE VOLTE WHEN AVAILABLE option in network settings , which was disabled earlier.
Now every this looks fine but I cannot see the VoLTE flag in the status bar since jio support only VoLTE i cannot make a call.

Try this :
Dial *#*#7378423#*#*
Go to Software Info, then scroll down to 2nd last item i.e. Current Modem Config : what does it say? is it using something like this : amss_fsg_yourPhoneCodeName_reliance_jio_ims_tar.mbn ?
If not, then its not using the right modem to use the VoLTE network. You need that modem file to be able to use VoLTE. My phone is Z5, after flashing roms and coming back to stock I was having a hard time activating it, even my phone supports VoLTE officially by jio. So I switched the modem to this one and it works now. But I'm not sure about XA!
Here is some tricks to enable it on Z2. Ofcourse the files are different for every model, but using these steps I got my VoLTE back! Don't flash the zip provided in that thread that is specific to Z2/Z3. Check in /system/etc/customization/modem/ if that file is present there ( the one I've mentioned ) . Then proceed below
Here are the steps required
Currently India having three VoLTE network providers.
India is having three VoLTE network providers
1. JIO
2. Airtel
3.Vodafone
But shame on Sony India support and they don't bother to provide any new updates on xperia XA and XA ultra.
Hope XA F3116 might support with Vodafone VoLTE network just need to wait until its complete launch as currently they are just Testing their network in several areas.
Same issue With Xperia XZ2 H8266
I'm also tried. But I can't find any solution. Anyone give me the solution please. I can't switch on Volte by *#*#4636#*#*..
If any Region Works I can flash that region to use Volte.

Yes it is not volte patch
But I think you should update to it
May be it has some fixes that are really necessary to our xa
Cause Sony is not so generous that it will give an update with extra feature in very short time from its latest update
I have listened about call log is lagging after nougat update
Not sure every one has this problem or not
But may be that 9.8 MB update relates to that problem or any other else
I suggest you to update when you have a free useless boring time to time pass with that update
I have a XA1 Dual Sim, but the situation may be same.
if you go to *#*#7378423#*#* > Service info > Software info under Current Modem Config if you have Vodafone LTE On, it has the default config, but if you have Jio LTE On, then the config changes to a Jio Specific Config, one of the reasons why my phone restarts when i change the settings between Vodafone and Jio, it needs to reload the Modem config file.
Now I believe Sony has VoLTE specific config for each of the Operator and the software is looking for some settings in the SIM to enable VoLTE Provisioning.
If anyone has root and can browse the content for the system folders /system/etc/customisations/modem/ , and could check if there are different config files for each of the Operator, take a screen shot, or may be one common config for VoLTE if all SIM support VoLTE.

Is VoLTE not available in BLN-21C185B361? this is the Middle Eastern regional firmware and the latest available (Since I purchased from UAE), I really need help because the Jio Help Service keeps asking me to enable VoLTE Calls option in Mobile Network>VoLTE Calls, when I just don't have it available! You can debrand it to Indian version to have Jio fully supported but it may not be fully functional as it will be international roaming then as Jio will latch to the local network there.

Yea i have a carrier which supports vowifi(JIO 4G) as well as the latest updates installed but i still cant manage to get vowifi working. I tried changing the dns of my router and several other teoubleshooting but none of them seems to work. Some people say port forwarding might make it work but i havent tried it yet.

Why on earth would VOLTE be locked out of a region? I also have the international model XQ-AS72 and am in Australia so is this why I can't seem to see VOLTE setting as well?

Also this code gets into the screen I was after.

I have the exact issue with the model. Not able to turn on Volte. Bought it from Hong Kong and using it on indian bands. Why is this happening? Is there a fix?
It's pretty **** we have this issue. Thanks Sony....nice job.
In US version XQ-AS62 there is an option to enable VoLTE from Mobile network.
As far as I know sometimes SIM companies block VoLTE as on my Xperia X Dual, I was able to use VoLTE in India on Jio but here in US T Mobile blocked it so no option of VoLTE even though phone had support. However on Xperia 5 II it's available and works.
Did you get Volte on Xperia 5 ii in India?
Did you try it on Airtel and jio?
Can you please provide the firmware version of your xperia 5 ii.

I am currently in US so can't check it and firmware version is 58.1.A.3.87 but VoLTE is supported out of box.
VOLTE requires the cell provider to provision for it in the firmware of your device. VOLTE will not work for a USA provider if you use a phone made for a different market like hongkong because the firmware doesnt expect it. You can blame the cell providers for this.
Different versions of Xperia 5ii
I found there are 3 different versions of Xperia 5ii. XQ-AS52, XQ-AS62, XQ-AS72 Anyone know the differences on these three models?

Good news is the latest WW firmware for me actually enabled VoLTE as a menu option by default, even when it wasnt listed in the patch notes. Now, I dont know if they added any carriers but I know there was a list of MBN's on ZenTalk of ones that were already inserted into the modem firmware, so if your carrier is on that list theres a very good chance that VoLTE will work.
Tried the update still its not supported.

its called Zain in Kuwait. Tried samsung phones and they are working fine but not on the ASUS rog 5. Note: the 5g is working fine. However when dial *#*#4636#*#* and checking the IMS it says not registered and VoLTE and the rest unavailable.
