Hello guys i did search the forum for this issue but did not find anything.
So my problem is that the volume up/down button always lowers / increases the volume for the media rather than the system/ringtone sound.
If there is already a topic on this issue then im sorry and you can link this to it.
In the previous Phones of mine ( galaxy s3-s6) this was not the case.
So did samsung change that on purpose?

Go to Settings and then to Sounds and vibration and uncheck "Use volume keys for media".

I remember reading somewhere about silencing the keyboard pressing sound but can't find it. My need actually is to lower the sound so that the typing sound is not so obvious in a quiet meeting. Anybody found a way of doing that?
Thanks.
Hi try pressing "start, settings, sounds & Notifications" and you should see it called screen taps & hardware buttons...TJ
Thanks but the sound & notification unfortunately does not do anything to the keyboard pressing sound...
sorry I was going by my x7501 and didnt realize you had a 7510. Ill keep searching and post it here if I find something...TJ
Hello,
press " Fn " and then " > " so you can switch the keyboard sound on or off!
When I'm on a call (regular headset or speaker phone) and I press the volume buttons on the left of the phone, the display shows volume being changed up and down. But the actual call volume remains the same which is always loud.
The volume control buttons work for everything else (ringtone volume, Youtube, music, etc.), but just don't change the volume during calls. If there's a way to fix this, I would greatly appreciate it.

The headphones which came with i9105p have 3 buttons - volume -/+ and one more button. If i plug headphones into jack, there is no notification, though sounds starts playing through headphones.
However only volume + button is working, i cannot reduce volume or pause music, answer, end call with other buttons. Also 'earphone' menu item is missing in 'Accesorries' section in Settings menu.
Can someone give a feedback how their stock headphones work with i9105p, so i would now if it is intended behaviour or hardware/software issue with my headphones or phone.
do u remove the bloatware before? sometimes,we accidentally remove something important. If that's not the case, maybe ur earphone are faulty, mine works perfectly, vol + -,pause,notification,all works.
Mine has not even a button work even on stock ROM (unbloated), I have yet to try out on current ROM.

Hey all,
I am coming from an EVO 3D which had CyanogenMod 10 with JB 4.2. When I pressed either of the volume rockers, the volume bar would pop up with the option to change all 3 volume settings, ringer/media/alarm.
On my nexus 5, I had to set up a shortcut for Sound Settings in order to change all 3 volumes. Am I missing a shortcut or easier way to adjust all 3 volumes? When I currently press the volume rocker, it only lets me change the volume for the ringer (or media if I'm playing music/games).
Thanks!
In the Settings hit Sound and then Volumes.

Try actually reading the OP before you reply next time.
I really miss this option as well. I know some custom roms on my GS3 used to have an option make that sound bar expandable or always expanded.

Actually, shaneledford understood exactly what I was asking. I was just asking to see if there was a way to enable this volume setting.
Too bad Google didn't catch on to this neat little shortcut.
This issue drives me up the wall. Anyone knows a way to quickly adjust volumes without digging through the settings I would greatly appreciated.

Hey everybody, this is my first post on xda , so please don't flame me with " Wrong category " replies and stuff like that.
I own a Sansung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300T. Everything is fine with it, except for a stupid little volume up button. Before you jump to conclusions, the volume rocker is not the problem. What I've done is removed the volume rocker and used a pin to press the ACTUAL VOLUME TACTILE BUTTON. The volume down works perfectly, but no matter how much pressing, depressing, and holding, the volume up tactile won't do jack s***. Ive had to make do with just pressing down then using the on screen slider to turn it up. Frustrating.
I haven't modified the Android (4.3 Jelly Bean) or installed a custom kernel or anything like that, everything is OEM
Anyway I could fix this myself?
Thanks for your support,
