I am using a SIM from other circle that i am currently in, but i am not seeing the "R" symbol on my network. In settings as well it show the status as "Not Roaming". Is any one else facing this issue? I can see correct Roaming status for the same SIM on my other device but incorrect on MI A1.

The issue is that while roaming and data enabled on roaming, Nexus 5 (stock 4.4.4r2) just shows the roaming "R" icon instead of showing E, H, H+ or LTE icons for data.
This seems to be a well known bug: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=71339 , but no proper solution seems to exist. Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of this "R" icon without flashing any 3rd party ROM, tried Mahdi under MultiROM, it's the same issue there under it's default settings. I'm rooted and running ART.

well network is 3g, connection speed reflects 3g, but it still shows only "R"..
anyone? any patch available for this bug?
Hi,
I have H60-L02 version with B307 from some time now and lately I noticed that, without warning, one or both sims are been disconnected from network, putting me in the situation in which I cannot make or receive calls. If I change from 2G to 3G on sim 1 it reconnects.
The fact which is more annoying is that in disconnected state on the status bar it shows that I have network signal on both sims. For checking if I'm effectively connected to network I have to go in "Settings-About phone-Status-Network" and verify the Service state.
Anyone had this problem, and if so, is there a workaround ?
Thank you.
I got similar problems with the SIM card. I've got the international h60-l04 on stock firmware with one SIM slot and the mobile connection fails every time. The Status Bar says there is a connection, but it isnt stable. It switches every few seconds.
I tried to delete the APN, forcing 2G and 3G and havent got a sollten, yet. I first thought it's a firmware failure.
Is there any solution for this? I have the similar problem as well... My model is H60-L02.
Thanks..
The mobile network icon shows up in status bar (refer the pic attached) when I don't even have a SIM inserted. Is this a bug?
PS: I have never seen this in any other phones I used.

No that is ok ,
Shows signal strength , remember even without a sim you are able to make emergency phone calls
I've recently installed the Evolution X custom rom for my Poco X3 NFC and noticed that the sim card is not being detected. On the lock screen, on the top left, the text glitches alternating from "No SIM card" to "No SIM card - No service" to "SIM card - vodafone UK" (my carrier). Unlocking my phone and swiping down from the status bar displays in the top right a similar situation: text alternating from "No service" to "vodafone UK". I read another forum which suggested to uninstall Magisk but yet that did not help the situation. Going into the Settings app and Network and Internet didn't help as the Mobile Network was greyed out, but then it got worse after restarting even entering Network and Internet would crash Settings app. Eventually got the crash message "Carrier Services keeps stopping".
Hope anyone can help me soon, many thanks!
are you on latest firmware global? if not try with upgrading your firmware
Yes, I was. Solved now though - just factory resetting solved the issue.
Thanks for the suggestion anyways.
Before the Android 12 update my status bar would display my Network Operator (AT&T). It is now missing from the status bar. Anyone else having this issue? Any solutions?
