Good point. Due to the lack of covers for my Maze Alpha it's a good thing. I've just bought several silicone cases for Xiaomi Mi Mix and I'll try your experiment. What makes me having doubts is that MI Mix is a 6.4" phone and our Maze Alpha is just 6".
I'm any case I'm going to try it.

I have to say I have the seidio case. And my phone took a 9 ft drop onto concrete today. Phone is perfect and the case doesn't even have a scratch on it.

This has replaced the Tech21 as my daily use case, but it didn't come without a flaw.
Pros... Looks great! Fits great! Ports are adequate to allow all accessories and headsets connect. Buttons are an absolute dream, feel just like the buttons do without a case.
Cons... Glossy clear plastic scratches easily, but that was a given and I knew this before I bought it. My biggest issue with it is that there's a notable gap between the case and the back of the phone that collects dust between the two during regular use.

Hard plastic have a label inside usually.
I bought this beautiful case from eBay. Gorgeous polished aluminum case, but with one issue. For me at least my phone signal goes from 4 bars to 2 to 0.

This is its looks like in outdoor.
Compared to the rendered image, the actual color is more bluish no matter whether it is outdoors or indoors. With a slight gradient to white.
If you look the picture I took, you may find its back is not made of glass. Right it’s plastic. So I’ll not recommend another color because that perception will be worse.
One more thing to note:
I scratched it with a utility knife and found that except for the four lens covered with glass, the rest are all plastic.

Considering the number of sold units, it's nothing. Also, most of the bricks are from users tinkering with their roms without any knowledge of the matter on hand.
I would prefer they take up rock collecting instead of flashing highly complex pieces of consumer electronics.

If you have a way to make use of the guarantee, make use of it, otherwise you would have to find a microsoldering workshop to do a "rework" to the SoC (RAM memory + CPU + ROM memory)
My phone also happen to be like this.But it is not dead.If this happen,it just will restart my phone
