I am looking to switch back to my s6 from p10 and I am currently searching for rom that gives me good battery life (as we all know the battery on the s6 is not so good) so I very much appreciate your comments and advice.

If you use good, debloated ROM with good custom kernel (and even with little bit tweaked settings) battery life isn't enemy For now also many peoples change them S6 stock battery to S7 Edge (so +~1050mAh more) and that's the best option which gives muuuch better battery life (up even to ~10h SoT).

i'd recommend using AccuBattery for battery monitoring.
very good interface n easy to use.
no mumbo jumbo n overly technical stuff like BetterBatteryStats.
no need to root either.
i'm using A9 Pro currently.
but after reading disappointing battery reviews on C9 Pro, decided to stick with my current phone.
it consistently gives more than 10hrs of screen on time, even with my Wechat, LINE, Telegram choke-full of highly active groups (gotta do some tweaks to manage wakelocks n yet get important notifications in time).
battery life is good
For sure the A9 pro gets better battery life, but it's a tank to carry around... I've only had my C9 Pro for a little bit but I'm quite happy with the battery and its e yeah for a 6in screen i think it gets I think great battery life but no not as good as a phone with a 5000 battery... why would it ?

I use it as a audio video player maybe that's why I dont game much on it. Maybe my rom with all bloat and many apps killed is different than your Indian variant. So I will guess its a rom + kernel combo.
Battery life is the most important part of the phone for me and I am tired of getting only 2 hours SOT. Currently using Alexis MM rom and was wondering which rom/kernel/tweak should I install for the best battery life.
Edit: Would prefer if snapchat worked on the ROM.

an S5 or Galaxy Note 4 with a Zerolemon 8.5 or 10AH battery would probably still be better though

But this would not be a smartphone but a brick.
I have Galaxy Note 3 with 10Ah battery. I use it as universal remote controller for tv and Xiaomi Smart Home. Comes really handy when lying on the table so I know what you mean.
I wonder how much better the battery life will be after I root and install L Speed optimisation app. I can see myself getting like 7 days battery life .

L Speed is a bull**** app. All it gives is a placebo effect.
I would praise who can get better battery life with the same amount not one with 5100mha one. OBVIOUSLY it's a king.

4h is normal in heavy use
the best rom (battery life, s8/s9 launcher) for my galaxy s6 .
today i have s8 port and battery life not so good. (15hr normal using without any Games,Videos,GPS)
