Have any of you managed to pass safetynet using Magisk? - Sony Xperia XZs Questions & Answers

If yes, what build, kernel, etc?

It passes safetynet only when root is disabled.

EMUI 5 Nougat & systemless exposed - passing SafetyNet

I'm on Nougat B198 right now with Magisk 16.1 working fine, passing SafetyNet which is crucial for Android Pay.
I'd like to install xposed systemless magisk module but I'm not sure if it trip SafetyNet or not? Anyone is running such configuration?

Tripping safetynet with systemless xposed

As per title.
Installed the systemless xposed zip through magisk but it still trips the safetynet ( Both parts ) antwoord thoughts?
Systemless xposed will trip safetynet. There is no other work around. Only solution is to disable it.
It only benefit while updating the rom so that u done have to keep flashing xposed again.
What only benefits while updating the rom? Having a passed safetynet?
If so, how does it benefit?
My concern was not being able to download/use some apps when safetynet is tripped.
Example; when safetynet is tripped you cant even see Netflix in the app store.
If the systemless xposed trips safetynet ( i thought they made a systemless version Just to pass safetynet ) what is the use of a systemless version of xposed.
Sidenote. I do not know what "systemless" means

Systemless means that it doesn't touch the system partition.
The reason they made Xposed systemless / magisk edition is because it doesn't need to get flashed again every time you update your rom.
Sidenote: Magisk survives rom updates.

[Question] SafetyNet state in lastest Magisk?

I want to root my BLN-L24 to use Viper4Android, but last time I tried rooting my device I could not use Netflix or play some games because I had my device rooted and Magisk did not hide the root.
Has someone been able to hide root with Magisk? Does the Honor 6X with the unlocked bootloader pass the SafetyNet check? Is there any way to make it pass?

Does TWRP breaks SafetyNet?

Hey, does TWRP breaks the SafetyNet? Can I install TWRP without getting a SafetyNet error?

TWRP doesn't, but unlocking your Bootloader to get TWRP on your phone does. To hide the unlocked Bootloader state, your Kernel needs to be patched. Most custom Kernels are patched for this reason and hide the Bootloader state.
There are other things that might cause safetynet to fail. Older Root methods like the LOS SU Addon, or selinux being in 'Permissive' mode.
Magisk Hide is usually the cure for most safetynet problems.

As @Dirk clearly stated it depends on your kernel.

SafetyNet Fail

I installed edxposed to check if SafetyNet will pass, but unfortunately it failed. Then i removed the riru core and edXposed modules from magisk, removed the edXposed manager and restarted.
But still the SafetyNet is failing.
How to get the SafetyNet to pass again?
Try this. Mine failed too. Latest Magisk Canary. Enabled this and it passed.

Hi, by default the SafetyNet will pass with Magisk, my issue is post installation and uninstallation of edXposed. Can you verify this?
I am already having latest Canary build
I re installed the last update again using local update amd applied magisk, but still SafetyNet fails.
Some suggestions please
same issue here
Finally solved.
Just needed to clear the CACHE of play services

Hello all I'm having trouble getting SafetyNet to pass. Yesterday SafetyNet passed fine however today I am failing attestation (cts profile) and cannot understand what changed.
I believe the only app I installed was BusyBox from the play store. I also used the magisk debloater module to freeze some system apps (Facebook stuff).
I am running OOS 10.5.9IN21AA
Yesterday SafetyNet passed, today it fails. Would debloating the system cause this? Thanks to anyone who can share some insight to this.
I have tried clearing app cache for Google Play Services with no luck.
Edit:. I've managed to fix safety net by removing root and uninstalling magisk canary then installing magisk manager 7.5.1 and flashing magisk 20.4 via TWRP!
