Help! New firmware for Oukitel C3 needed! - General Questions and Answers

Hi all,
I bought Oukitel C3 3 months ago and tried to root it, but in vain. I found my kernel was very new. July or June 2017. (alas, I forgot!). And my phone seems to be built in December 2016 because its serial number is 2016120100940.
I thought in order to root this device, downgrading the firmware was necessary, and tried to downgrade to official ones with SP flashtool. However my phone doesn't boot with any version(except for Nov 16 2016 version, because it can not be downloaded due to corrupt scatter file)!! My phone only lights dimly when holding power button for 5 seconds.
Noticing my hardware is new, I tried to get back to the original state, but I hadn't make a backup copy, so I cannot recover!
Where can I find the latest firmware for Oukitel C3? At least made in this year!
Thanks in advance!
-Tetsuji

Addition:
Exactly speaking, I haven't tested the latest firmware because SP Flashtool gives an error. STATUS_SCATTER_FILE_INVALID (0xC0030001). This firmware was built on Nov 16 2016. This may be the problem.

I experienced the very same problem, but the solution is very simple.
1. Extract your OUKITEL-C3-V1.3-20161114.rar firmware to the desired location (never mind the error message)
2. The extracted files reside inside TWO folders (one inside the other), named "16-11-16 w800d-oq-80A-s06-SD_OUKITEL-C3-V1.3-20161114_多国语言量产软件".
3. Rename BOTH folders. It is sufficient to just delete the Chinese characters from the folders' name.
4. That's all. Flash your phone with SP_Flash_Tool.

[Q] Huawei Honor H60-L12 ROM - Software Install Failed!

Hi all,
I bought a H60-L12, but the manufacturer had installed the H60-L02 rom (version H60-L02V100R001CHNC00B611).
How can I install the H60-L12 version?
I've already tried to install these 5 ROMS:
H60-L12_EMUI3.0_Android4.4_V100R001CHNC00B307
H60-L12_EMUI3.0_Android4.4_V100R001CHNC00B611
H60-L12-4-4-V100R001CHNC00B118-unicom-32g
H60-L12-4-4-V100R001CHNC00B119-High-unicom
H60-L12-V100R001CHNC00B121
But I always get the error "Software Install Failed!" with the volume + & - & power method.
Also tried with the *#*#2846579#*#* and didn't worked as well.
Tried to install different stock versions and nothing.
What should I do more?
Regards,
Luis

Hi, yes I did. I wrote the way here (in german)

From huawei club forum, which posted by Chinese, they provided a "middle package" for H60-L02/L12, L01/L03/L11/L21:
Link for refer: http://club.huawei.com/thread-4744481-1-1.html
中转包地址如下:
荣耀6移动版(H60-L01/L03/L11/L21)
荣耀6联通版(H60-L02/L12)
We have to download it, then do upgrade it first before upgrade ROM version.
P/S: If you cannot extract it, may need rename it from chinese name to latin letter.
If need assist in Chinese word, let me know.
Hope this help.

Hi all, I'm new of the forum, and this seems to be exactly the same issue I'm having.
I had to buy a replacement for my H60-L12 and I decided to buy a new one, so I went to the same store and I ordered the same phone.
When it arrived, the label indicate H60-L12, bon on the box and on the back of the phone. But when I switched on, the model name and the serial number indicated the H60-L02.
What is really strange is that, according to what I have been seeing on technical specification on internet, the L02 should have 16GB di memory, while this one has 32GB.
Do you have any idea if it is possible to verify from the IMEI what is the real model of the phone and if it is possible that a L02 firmware version was installed on a L12? I have the B316, I have tried to dowload the B316 for the L12 and put it on the dload folder, then local update, but it fails (probabily because it is the same version?).
I have download the H60-L02/L12 file indicated in the previous post, but it is very small. Is it ok?
After I have installed it using the local update procedure, what should I do?
Thanks!
I will share my experience with this issue.
As it turned out, my L12 was flashed with the wrong firmware and seens as a L02.
No way to restore the correct version with any more or less standard procedure (not even copying the built and prop files from the L12, the upgrad was always failing).
So, for future reference, what I did was:
- use the unbrick function to load a EMUI2.3 version of the firmware (at this point the phone was almost unusable because everything was crashing)
- copied the L12 B316 on the SD in dload directory
- installed using the three button procedure
The upgrade was correctly executed and now everything is working fine.
In case someone was wondering why I didn't use the unbrick function to load the L12 B316, the answer is: I did it, but it was not working. As I said, it seems that the unbrick function leaves a lot of the previous installation behind, and despite the load of the B313 (yes, I tried the 313 to be able to update then to 316 with the complete update package and have a clean installation), the update package was downloaded but not installed, always giving error. Same with the three button procedure.
So, the only way I found has been to revert to 2.3 and then apply the update.
Now I would like to know who flashed the L02 on my L12 and made me loose four days

HUAWEI P8 GRA-L09 - Lost Baseband & IMEI since attempting Marshmallow update & others

HUAWEI P8 GRA-L09 - Lost Baseband & IMEI since attempting Marshmallow update & others
Hi, I'm in a right mess - since following the instructions from a post on here to download & update my HUAWEI P8 from it's stock firmware B200 (I think) to Marshmallow I ended up with the update freezing at 90% (I see there have been many others had the same problem too)
After trying to fathom out how to resolve the bootloop problem that occurs after this I have since downloaded many different firmwares from B170 onwards and using fastboot & adb flashed boot.img, recovery.img, system.img & cust.img succesfully with only B170 allowing my phone to eventually start without a bootloop. However now I have no baseband nor IMEI and being my only phone I am screwed without it.
Since then I have tried using TWRP to wipe the data, system, and caches clean and reinstalled firmwares galore to no success. If I try to update using EMUI it fails at 0% - using the search for latest file & recovery in EMUI fails too - copying any update.app to either internal or external storage in a folder named uload also fails at 0%.
Surely there must be a way of formatting the internal drive and installing a stock firmware which places everything back in its right place (including the baseband / IMEI) to start up like when it was 1st new?
DESPERATE FOR HELP - I HAVE NO OTHER FORM OF COMMUNICATION TO BE CONTACTED ON BY MY FAMILY - AND QUITE APPROPRIATELY CANNOT AFFORD TO GET THIS FIXED BY HUAWEI AT THE MOMENT- PHONE IS IMPORTANT TO ME!
Thanks to anyone reading this whom can help!

Last Combination Firmare

Hello all,
I checked the last version for combination firmware is :
HardReset.info: COMBINATION_FA60_G935FXXU5ASD2_CL7964511
The last version is 6, any link for this version.
I thought to rebuild ver 5 to 6 but it uses different binary so it's not only renaming the file.
I think the *.img file is mostly the same only bootloader changing.
I want to remove Google Account protection from the last version: AP_G935FXXS6ESGD_CL15877854
Use sim card trick and you don't need anything like pc or factory mode and since i checked last combination rom on latest bootloader last month the combination wouldn't boot

Question of downgrade Android 12 to Android 11
Hello anyone, I am the new comer of the XDA. Nice to meet you here. Let move on to my questions. I have a HK version Xperia 1 III(XQ-BC72), and I love the device. However after I received and upgraded to Android 12(61.1.A.1.149), the nightmare...
forum.xda-developers.com
I managed to find a single mirror of an android 11 firmware file for Xperia 5 III by googling "XQ-BQ62 61.0.A.15.45 customized us ftf". This is the ONLY android 11 firmware I could find.
Extract contents into a directory mirroring the structure you'd see if downloading firmware from exafirm. You should have a standalone boot folder and all .sin files extracted into this directory (including unzipped partition .sin files). Delete ALL .ta files. Execute with newflasher.
I don't have time to walk thru every step but I can confirm I was able to downgrade from Android 12 to 11 using 61.0.A.15.45 ftf and newflasher without root. My bootloader is unlocked but honestly shouldn't need to be if using newflasher.
BIG THANKS to the kind soul who uploaded this ftf!!
This doesn't seem to work on XQ-BQ72 (Xperia 5 III) Android 12. Unless your steps had something specific while flashing via newflasher.

I have xq-bq62. I can only confirm this works for this model.
I am sure your unlocked bootloader helped in this case but I can't confirm as i tried the BQ72 firmwares also from that androidfilehost's user link but neither worked (mine is a locked bootloader, fyi). So I am assuming there is some tiny/unknown setting that worked in your favor.

Were the firwmares .ftf? How you set up your working directory for newflasher is very important (based on my limited experience with sony devices...this is my first).

BQ72, from what I can tell, is the same as BQ62 except for what i'm guessing are a few changes in enabled network bands.
Also, newflasher shouldn't require a bootloader unlock. Only the offical sony flash tool would require that. Someone correct me if i'm wrong because like I said this is my first xperia device.
Yes, the firmwares were .ftf and I followed all the steps you mentioned in your post. Upon trying to flash with newflasher, it would return an error while flashing the partition blocks and would return FAIL FAIL in newflasher. None of the BQ72 Android 11 .ftf worked from the same user's file that you used for your BQ62.

Try flashing the xq-bq72 android 11 firmware which is MUCH easier to find than my US variant (xq-bq62).
Newflasher again.

After some technical difficulties, I've managed to copy these instructions pretty well. Newflasher seemed to have completed the process, yet my phone's firmware was still corrupt on a bootloop.
I had my bootloader unlocked as well. I've since locked it and restored back to Android 12 through Xperia Companion. I'm not sure what could have caused a problem.
Some points of interest:
1. I've kept all .sin files from the boot folder in that folder
2. All .sin files from the partition folder were moved to the parent folder where everything else should be (ex. Newflasher files)
3. Partition_delivery.xml was kept in the partition folder
4. The .ftf for Android 11 was also moved to the parent folder
I grabbed the most recent Android 12 files from XperiFirm (specifically 61.1.A.9.219). Is there a difference in those files that would make this rollback impossible?
Also running an XQ-BQ62.

I was running in to the same issues myself, the only available .ftf I could find for the XQ-BQ62 didn't work without modification (For reference, I was running the same 61.1.A.9.219 firmware) I attached my update.xml in case it differs from yours. What may have ended up making it work was zipping the contents of the partition folder to match bhow11's screenshot, I added the partition_delivery.xml to it as well. I'm unsure what exactly made this all work, but it does now.
I recently purchased the Sony Xperia 5 III and the first thing I had in mind was to unlock it since my 2012 HTC was probably the last phone I rooted, and my Xperia XZ3 wasn't as root-friendly with irreversible DRM loss and all.
When I got to the part about flashing the Xperifirm boot with Magisk, I wondered how my old 61.0x firmware would work with a new 61.1 boot. Nobody had asked this. I don't know if I was wrong but I also assumed there would be no way to backup my old firmware if the bootloader is locked. I didn't even know about A11/A12 (XZ3 had Android 9). So fearing a boot-loop I flashed the latest full firmware first. I fully regret it.
It's crazy how mad Android 12 makes me. All the love of Android is sucked out. I'm really sad too that this is a current trend. A12 kinda looks like early 2010s Windows Phone now.
Since my firmware is the Europe EEA will I never regain Android 11 except for a GSI or buying a brand new phone?
in my opinion downgrad never worked since Android 10 on my Xperia's
i tried many many hours at my Xperia 1 to go back to Android 9 but no succes

Due to ugly design, which starts from 40% bigger and not transparent security pattern screen.
u kidding me.....are u.!
u'll buy a new one just due the ugly OS design.
did u never try to get information about a new system before updating your system.?

Bricked Unihertz Atom - Strange screen [Help]

Hello all,
this morning I wanted to get my Unihertz Atom (the very small one from 2018) ready for the vacations. The phone was in the drawer since the end of 2019 and when I turned it on today it was stuck in a bootloop. I tried to reset it via the recovery, but this brought no success.
Via Fastboot I played the Stockrom back to the individual partitions (and i think that was a stupid idea).
So as described in the scatter file for each partition
Code:
$ fastboot flash system ./system.img
Now I am stuck in a new Error with many colored pixels (see attached picture). Every now and then the phone makes a noise and it mounts as a removable disk (but nothing can be written on it). And I can't reach the phone via Fastboot or ADB either.
Now I'm really at a loss as I don't even know how to even name my error to look for a solution.
Does anyone have any idea how I can get back into fastboot mode or even restore the whole OS? (Only have access to an Ubunutu system for the next few days).
Thanks a lot
Daniel

I actually am in this exact situation BECAUSE I followed the above instuctions. I used SP Tool v5.2216.00 and stock rom 20180625_8.1.0.
Daniel, did you find a solution?
Daniel, I was able to get a hold of another stock ROM newer than the one in the guide above. I used the link in the below guide. When you click on the download for the stock ROM it takes you to a google drive request. I just put in that I wanted to download the Unihertz Atom Stock ROM and this morning I had access. I am guessing this is the official Unihertz account as it has all the Unihertz models and multiple ROMs for each and instructions on how to flash. I initially flashed an Android 8 then a 9 but it had some chinese overlay on it. So I am still trying to nail down the exact one for the US market but bottom line is it is functional again. Hope this helps and good luck!
