Call quality is not as good as my Samsung S6 Edge that I traded up from. I am pretty disappointed considering the Edge had many issues--despite being an expensive phone--that its call sound quality is way better than the 2 XL.

I haven't had anyone complain about call Quality. Especially when using HD calling. Overall I think that the call Quality is about on par with my Moto X pure, that I am coming from.

I am really unhappy about phone call quality. I went from a S7E on Verizon and now on FI.... so maybe due to FI. I am having issues of people calling me 4-6x and the phone does not ring. There is terrible reverb on phone calls when someone calls me; but sound is better if I call out. Others have complained about the phone call quality. So I am not sure if this is FI or P2XL.... I am seriously thinking of returning to Verizon.... But I would hate to find out the issue is the phone.

it's mostly FI. I had FI before and the call quality varied depending on if you connected to Sprint vs Tmbobile towers.

My call quality is infinitely better than on my s6 edge.

I don't have any issues with call quality on VZ. I also have a network extender, and no problems. I turned on WiFi calling. I have the Google version of the P2XL. My calls have been loud and clear.
Update: the only annoying thing is that all emails or texts interrupt the call with a beep.

Call quality is fantastic on Verizon VoLTE. SD calls sound as you would expect and have plenty of volume. HD calls don't sound quite as crisp. I think this is due to the ear speaking not being able to reproduce the high frequencies quite as well. However the low side, Hearing the bass in someones voice is fantastic and overall call quality is on-par with my previous note 7.
I dont like voice call quality , better was on nex 6P , the best I have heard was on iphone 7 plus .

Not easy to beat the iPhone for voice call quality. I have owned quite a few smartphones from various brands and Apple sort of does set the standard there although the old HTC 7 had great call quality before that were the old Nokia phones.

Wut...? Apple is notorious for having terrible antenna arrays and average to poor microphones and earpieces. I had an iPhone 7 that I was using for work testing and it was dropping calls left and right and the earpiece was far to quiet. People had a hard time hearing me as well. This has been the issue for years and is well documented. I'm curious what awful phones you've had in the past to think that an iPhone "sets the standard"...
iPhones are known for ease of use and above average cameras and this is what they market (quite well at that).
This isn't the phone's fault, but I haven't been too impressed with call quality on Project Fi. So far I've only made wifi calls (all on my home wifi) and sometimes the call briefly drops out. There's also a small but noticeable delay. I was really hoping Project Fi would work better because it's such a better deal. Oh well, I'll probably switch back to Verizon pretty soon.
t mobile wifi calls are loud and clear..fantastic call quality with this phone
Mine sounds great on t mobile....

My problem was entirely due to wifi calling. I think the problem lies in the latency of my lousy north-eastern Wisconsin Time Warner internet connection. My router is definitely not the problem. Anyway, I disabled wifi calling and now call quality is fantastic with T-Mobile and US Cellular.

I have owned many phones. Note 2 and then Note 3, HTC 7,Galaxy S6 Edge, and iPhone 6s Plus are some of the new ones which came out of which I had bought. These were bought when they first came out.
Pixel robot
I keep getting lots of people saying that I sound like a robot during calls on my pixel. At first I thought it was wifi calling causing this so I turned it off but people still saying it happens. Might just be a network issue on EE in the UK but never had this problem with my old phone.
how is your call quality over bluetooth? when connected to my car's bt, the call quality is terrible. i had to turn off bt just to hear the other person. with my previous phone, the call over bt is clear. so i know its not my car's bt issue.

My calls have been quite good. Have not lost one. Very clear. If anything I've had to turn down the volume occassionally. Almost as good as Moto phones re: call quality.
this happened to me more than once, but I figured that was because the network keeps changing from 4g to 3g or 2g at my place which causes problems for ongoing calls. Wherever I have good signal strength for 4G, I don't face this issue.
I'm a truck driver and i use my phone all day long making calls in remote areas. I have cricket wireless. This phone gets better reception and has the least dropped calls compared to any other phone i have used (Nexus 5, Nexus 6, leo eco pro 3, Samsung note 3, Nexus 4) couldn't be happier. It seems as though when you go through a bad area the phone doesn't just disconnected like my older phones it waits a few seconds.
I almost returned this phone because of camera and jelly scrolling. I said I'll live with this because reception is so good it's worth the miniscule problems. I don't even notice the jelly now lol. And the camera does fairly good with Google camera app
My only issues with calling would be some weird buzzing noises than occur during some SIP calls. Not regularly though. The ability to activate auto-call-recording is a huge plus imo, I'm a very forgetful person and always having a recording of the last call to check WHAT exactly you should bring again from the grocery store in a life-saver sometimes
In my case its not good.it does not sound crisp.rather very gloomy tone.i dunno if its because of the mono speaker or i am using a 3g sim.and i noticed call quality a little better when making whatsapp voice call.still it lacks crispyness.
Do cases affect call quality, I am considering the official karbon bumper case.
Very good clear loud and crisp sound with best cellular reception
Call quality on op5t is amazing. I have never been experienced this level of quality before even over the high speed internet call. I have made a conference call using VoLTE and HD symbol was there. Also recorded the call and it was loud and clear.

Excellent call quality.. No problem with both end.. Excellent signal catcher too.. Very happy..
Bad audio levels on the other end
Having bad audio volume on the other end. All my friends (not Grannies ) have complained of not being able to hear me at all. Have already given the phone to service centre once, but nothing improved.
After 8 months with the phone, I have to say it's a step down from my Nexus 6P. My side of the call is fine, but everyone else says "your breaking up". I have to go outside to make calls.
Most of the time, I have no issues. When I'm doing a VOIP call through hangouts or something, people often tell me I sound like I'm very far from the phone.

The call quality of the phone is great there are no "low volume" calls from the other side and the speaker phone is very loud even in a car atmosphere driving down the highway!
Call quality is at par with OP6 , clarity on volte is awesome and that speaker is louder than OP6

Call quality is bad. The earpiece is not strong enough, and I hardly can hear the other side. I have no problem with my Honor 8x, a budget phone. I think the reason is, the top speaker is very tiny, so you have to adjust it right to your ear hole!
The mic works well unless you cover it, and I accidentally do so over and over. I have had no call without any complain that "I can't hear you", then I notice that I have covered the mic. It seems a single mice on the bottom of the phone.
In general, exactly due to these reasons, I am going to send mine back.
Using VoLTE/VoWIFI on german Telekom, the call quality is excellent and at least on par with landline quality. Voices are very clear and crisp on both sides with no disturbing background noise or electrical buzzing. Coming from a Moto Z, this is a huge improvement for me.
I am on AT&T in the US and I also have fixed the phone so VoLTE is enabled, With that said I have had no issues, I also use speaker phone a lot. On my 3T I had complaints that people had issues hearing me but with the 6T no complaints even on speaker phone. For me call quality I had been good and this has been a fabulous phone for me.

I bit the bullet and traded in my OPO on the last day of the offer. My impressions after several days is the call quality is top notch. I've used VOLTE, WiFi calling, standard cellular, on both speaker and earpiece....all I can say is amazing! Much better than any device I've previously owned. It blows my OPO out of the water.
OnePlus used to claim the One was a "Flagship Killer" this handset truly is. I just hope I can get 4 years out of it like I did my OPO. If so, this has the potential to become a legendary device.

Poor Call quality Samsung A70
My A70s (and I have two) both have the same speech complaints. If we call each other, it's gambling about what the other person says. It is only in the speech from the A70 to the other caller, receiving what the other person is saying to the A70 device is good and constant. Device 1 has already been offered for repair twice, this week everything has been replaced except for the display and the battery. The problem is and remains, despite switching off calls over 4G, calling over Wifi, etc. The complaint is extensively known by some specific phone providers, I am with both devices at Tmobile and 1 with dual sim also at another Dutch provider. It just doesn't matter. Sound is and remains muffled and 'compressed' It seems to me like there is a very strong noise filter about what the device records in terms of sound and forwards it to the other side. All Phones are having the latest updates, but yes it remains unusable for a decent cellular conversation, and that this is a medium-sized device should not change that. I do think that Samsung does not respond adequately to the problem, resetting and replacing resembles symptom control rather than problem-solving. The complaints on the internet are not incidental and indicate that there is a serious problem, which in particular also damages the reputation of Samsung because no good solution is offered. I have had problems with these devices since July 22, 2019, and have not been fixed to date. Back to 3G seems nice, but besides calling a slow internet does not work either. I'm on version A705FNXXU3ASH1 / A705FNOXM3ASG6 / A705FNXXU3ASH1, security patch level July 1, 2019.
So I have to wait till Samsung solves the problem or I need to buy another brand
Terrible call quality on this phone, allmost all the people says me they can't hear me clearly.
So is my phone. At the service they told me that they cannot reproduce the defect!
