So I have this pré installed app named "Information", it occupies 56 KB.
What is that thing used for? Do I keep it or uninstall it?
(it's not about storage, it's more that seeing something that looks useless is messing my head)

I said so because i never seen such app on my any of the Honor phones till date and that seems to be a result of installing as any other app, launcher etc so quickly mentioned to uninstall rather waiting.

Haha. Nope. I just own a 6X. My cousin has 5X, and college friend has 8 Lite. I tested 7 at some store that sells 2nd hand devices.

It was different for me. Wheb launched, it would launch Chrome redirecting to Honor's site. Emergency Information app shouldn't be easily uninstallable.

Didn't fully understand what you mean, but if you are stating that I did unlock the bootloader, no I did not. I didn't mess a single thing in this device, didn't even had the courage to use firmware finder lol.
Sorry if I didn't understand you well.

Well you're updated.
I don't see anything else you might do.
The common solutions are try another card (formated to extFAT), try the card in another phone and factory reset.
Getting my phone on Saturday or Monday and I want to root it right away. Does anyone know if this is a legit way to root my phone?
http://rootkhp.pro/how-to-root-huawei-honor-9/
I dont think so. They even have page for Honor 10, which dont event exist yet. LoL
What model are you getting ? If it's ST-AL10 then there's one chinese web out there has working tool to root it, but it need to be on B123 version as well,
I guess i'll just simply wait for TWRP to be available
Hopefully huawei will be as friendly as in honor 8 time
I'm getting the European version
Now it's still to early to root... I don't see any (working) root method yet...

The best way to root is to have TWRP first. Never try rooting methods from 3rd party sites.

Better wait for a TWRP man. I tried rooting methods like this before and it never worked. Plus there is a risk of spyware since we don't know where that program came from.

You can move apps to SD without a 2nd partition. By doing force move. Just like what we had before in Gingerbread-Jellybean. We can move apps freely.

By using any of those two apps or some alternative. In Link2SD, you tap and hold the name of app you want to move, then select move to SD card.

I am on L04 in US and would like to use HiCloud to backup my phone except for the photo gallery. I have been using it for a while with my Huawei ID, but it stopped working in the recent 2 months. It keeps saying there is not enough space on the cloud, which it is not true as I have only used 40MB out of 5GB space. Does anyone know what is the issue? Maybe the service is not for people out of China? But you should be find HiCloud on Settings...

Yes I have. It looks like all your data is being backed up by google, that means its working already. You just need to login using your google Account to your device at the first boot and select the name of this device and that's it. You will get everything (except the app data)
i use high cloud for backup.
Like the title suggests, what will I loose if I do a force update? Will I be still getting OTA updates? B389 is like a bad fw from honor.

You are always advised to backup crucial data before attempting anything, if in case something bad happens.
