After latest Samsung TouchWiz UI update (which was automatically installed in background, despite having auto updates disabled) on my rooted stock 4.4.2, s-view has changed for the worst. Answer and reject buttons are non-responsive during incoming call

, yet pull-up menu under those buttons works
. Also,
shows up during a call; this frequently leads to the hangup button being pressed . I don't want to do a factory reset, as this update is likely to be automatically installed again. I don't want to upgrade to a newer OS version, as I've grown used to this. Suggestions?

So I have been using Macnut R14 on my Samsung Vibrant since January of this year with no problems, until a week ago. My phone no longer rings or shows that I have incoming calls, the home button doesn't work and some of the options are missing when I long press the powr button. I have tried doing a master reset then reinstalling the update.zip file but nothing seems to work and unortunately am not the smartest person when it comes to flashing roms on my phone. Can someone please help me resolve this issue or help me uninstall Macnut R14, unroot my Vibrant and start all over again?

Ever since I installed factory image on my N5, if my screen is already ON when I am receiving a call, I get the following screen:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If I use the buttons at the top, it works just fine. But if I slide to the right (green) to answer the call, it does nothing. Also, I find this to be a bit buggy because the bottom part of screen covers the app that is already open. I thought the whole point of heads-up incoming call notification was so that current app isn't blocked by call screen.
Is this a common occurrence? Or is just mine an odd case?
Hi all, last night my Nexus 5 notified me of the marshmallow update, I happily accepted and left it to its thing. When I returned it seemed to have done the trick, but now I have no notifications when I pull down, nor quick settings? I can here apps notifying me, such as Gmail, Facebook etc and the LED light flashes. Also I have no cog as mentioned in update reviews to get to system ui.
I've tried rebooting with no success.
Has anyone seen this before? Has anyone got an idea how to fix?

try reflashing using fastboot
I just received what I think is notification spam on an unrooted, up to date 6045I.
Seems to be coming from the built in Recorder app which doesn't seem to have the
"Block all" notification option. Other built in apps like Weather and Notes do have
this option, but Recorder and Radio don't,
Will "force stop" take care of it? I don't use any of these apps.
Would anyone at Alcatel be interested?

Make that Sound Recorder app,
I received the same thing today. Only slightly relieve to know I wasn't the only one. Totally crazy stuff. Time for a new phone for me.
How can I get rid of these three annoyances on the otherwise great Blackview Tab 8?
1) "Smart cover" functionality - I'd like to disable the automatic turn-on when you open (or "accidentally open") the cover. I wasn't able to find anything in the settings. Any hack possible via adb or otherwise (on a non-rooted device)?
2) The silhouette of Google search box on the home screen (it just sits there, can't be (re)moved at all, despite the fact that I already disabled and uninstalled the bloat I don't need, such as Google, Assistant, etc.):
